Kitchen is dirty and tiny. Full of school kids this place is use for school field trips. I had lots of bites from bed bugs all over my body.

It was the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. I usually stay in hostels, but this was the first time in my life that I experienced bed bugs. We stayed in a twin room for three nights. The bathroom was inside the room. The shower did not function properly, and the showerhead was very dirty. The floor was covered with dust, and the worst part was the beds, which were infested with bed bugs. I was afraid to go to the room and sleep there. The breakfast area is very small, and there are usually long queues to get food. On our last day, there was hair in both the hummus and the tomatoes. We would never stay there again.

I think there were bed bugs in the room I stayed in 😭 We were all itching the next day and it definitely wasn’t because of mosquitoes. Also the bathroom was not clean at all.

The first of my nights here I got many bites from bed bugs. When I reported this to the front desk, they apologized and moved me to the next room. BUT the next morning I woke up with more bites, and I saw they had just moved someone new into the room I had just moved out off without any action taken in regards to the room having bed bugs.

Beds were hard and uncomfortable, look out for bed bugs. There was no privacy, I’d recommend putting up a towel with some clips. No aircon or airflow, you have to pay to hire a fan compared to other hostels that have built in fans in the rooms. There was one plug outlet in the room for 6 people. The bathroom was dirty. wouldn’t stay there ever again.

DO NOT GO! BED BUGS!!!!! I informed the hotel around 11pm on day 2/3 of my stay after i came back from a day trip. The hostel had no other available rooms that night and it was too late and rainy for me to go elsewhere! The two gentlemen at the night shift were very helpful and helped me change the whole bedding and mattress and providing an ointment and laundry services to wash everything. I could not sleep that night because I had to leave at 8am and spent the whole night doing several loads of laundry. I was assured by the night staff that their manager will come in the morning and will issue a refund and constantly apologized for the inconvenience. Comes the morning, there is this lady at the reception and while I was checking out i requested her to also process the refund to which she said that she can only offer refund for 1 night because it was my choice to stay here for the second night despite knowing (I HAD NO OTHER PLACE TO GO AT 11pm THE NIGHT BEFORE MY MORNING FLIGHT)!!!! She told me she was doing me a big favour by even offering refund for one night and that I didn’t deserve it because they didn’t specifically go and put the bed bugs there! What a bloody joke!!! She started yelling and being stubborn until I started telling other guests what had happened and started filming her to post her behaviour on social media. That moment she was instructed by a gentleman from the back to issue a full refund for the 3 nights of stay, which she should have in the first place!! Situations like this are faced by every hostel/ hotel and what matters is how they deal with it. The night staff made me feel comforted and tried their best to fix the situation at hand but the lady in the morning had absolute attitude issues!!! The hostel is okay overall and a good experience but they need to be more careful about the bed bugs and the IDIOTIC STAFF THEY HIRE!!! POSTING A PICTURE OF THIS ABSOLUTE DISAPPOINTMENT OF A LADY WHO SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY!!

Said that I couldn’t hire towels, only purchase so I had to buy a towel from them for 7 euro. Then when they were packing up the room they took the towel. I don’t mind hiring towels but 7 euros is a lot. Additionally, one of the girls in my room had bed bugs in her bed. The initial staff response was nice but all they did was replace the mattress - she had to sleep there again because the hostel was full. Hostel agreed to give her a refund but when we she went to get one the receptionist was very rude and said she should only get a refund for her last night because it was her fault and she should have just moved hostels. I don’t think is an appropriate response for something that is the hostel’s fault and felt the hostel should have been more apologetic to everyone in the room because it severely affected all of our sleeps. Additionally, I would have liked to leave my luggage stored safely for my last day as I still had a few hour. However, the luggage room was not very secure and the key was available to the general public with no monitoring of who was going in and out.

I woke up to find two big, fat bed bugs on my bedding when taking it off to hand it in for cleaning at the reception. They closed down the room. When I informed them at the reception they seemed pretty disinterested and just took my payment and said a seemingly insincere “yeah, sorry about that…”. I was very upset about the whole situation because I was scared that all of my stuff has been infected now. I asked them What to do and they seemed very unfriendly and not compassionate or understanding or apologetic. They said I could wash my clothes in their laundry if I wanted but at first they wanted me to pay myself - 12 euros for ONE wash. I had to do four loads in all, so that would have been very expensive. They then agreed to give me the washes for free. The manager accused me of being the one that brought the bed bugs in myself and was quite harsh with me which upset me further. I spent four hours going through all my clothes and washing and drying them. Found no sign that I was the one that brought the bugs. It was a very uncomfortable feeling being accused and also not being helped or understood and also spoken harshly to. They did change their attitude within the next couple of hours and ended up being more kind, giving me my money back and inviting me to have lunch for free, which was very nice and kind. But the initial response and the whole situation was very uncomfortable and ruined my only day in Vienna. I was told that I would receive an email from them when the exterminator had been there to figure out exactly what the extent of the bugs where and if they where bed bugs (I’m quite sure and have a video of them as well). I have not received any email more than a week later.
