Anda Venice

One major downside is that nowhere was it mentioned that the hostel hosts parties in the lobby every night until around 2AM. The music was really loud, I could hear it clearly even with the windows closed, and I could actually feel the bass vibrations while lying in bed. If I had known this was more of a party hostel, I definitely wouldn’t have chosen it. It also didn’t feel very safe, as people from outside seem to come and go freely. The storage solution is quite poor, the metal lockers are very noisy and rattle a lot. When people use them at night, it wakes everyone up. Having sinks directly inside the shared room is also not ideal, as it creates additional noise. I also came across several reviews mentioning bed bugs. I personally didn’t experience this, but it’s something to keep in mind when considering this hostel.

The location is the best - 3 minutes on foot to the bus station (for Venice, flixbus) and train station. I stayed three nights in a ensuite 9-bed Mixed room. It was clean, spacious with comfortable beds, two showers, three sinks and dark window curtains. I did not mind that there were no privacy curtains for each bed because I find it the dirtiest part of the room which is not so regularly cleaned and where bed bugs could hide. The lock hole for the storage space under the bed is quite big, so either don´t mind it or bring a big enough lock. The common area was nice, with a terrace, a dining area, inside seats, laundry room, enough luggage storage space, meeting point for solo travellers, and public bathrooms. I did not miss anything. The kitchen could have more utensils but if you just want to heat something up or boil water, it is sufficient. The majority of people grabbed a nearby McDonalds or ordered dinners provided by the hostel. They also offered an evening programme and city maps.

BED BUGS , great service sketchy area although close to the train but brought home bed begs and was a nightmare to take care of .

BED BUGS AND VERY DIRTY ! Beside for the bed bugs the hostel has 8 floors I am a solo female traveler and came back late and was rating in the 7 th floor and felt very unsafe talking the elevator when j fit back at midnight , there was barefoot old men riding up and down without purpose . Sketchy , on a different not , nice staff , close to the train but that’s pretty much it and definitely not worth the BED BUGS

Good hostel location, remember to check your bedding before going to sleep. Woke up with bed bugs, luckily staff members took the matter seriously

Great hostel, nice amenities. However, as we were leaving the room we noticed a small beetle like bug on the bed and then found one on our luggage. I contacted the property after finding a couple bites on my arm and received no answer. We are fairly confident it was a bed bug but we were hoping the hostel would have responded to confirm otherwise, before we searched through all of our luggage.

I really liked this place. It was a bit of tough job to trust anywhere in Venice as I could see in all of the reviews people are talking about bed bugs. I talked to them and they assured me that they have 2 weekly inspection. Cleaning for the room daily and safety was considered quite nicely. They also got me a nice bed as I was a bit claustrophobic and made sure im happy with that. I can say they have considered all needs of a solo traveler. The only thing that they can improve is privacy. I do believe specially in mixed rooms you need more privacy for example to get changed otherwise you have to go to the toilet or bathroom to change. They also helped me to find shuttle to the airport. After midnight, security asks for your door card to make sure strangers are not getting in. Good location Nice space for those who want to eat and drink A garden to be out and smoke if you need Perfect specifically considering the price Its a lovely place that I do recommend to my friends.

Bedbugs!! Terrible!

I observed Bedbugs on my bed.

It was a good experience until I saw bed bugs after which my mind on the way back was just all on that. I had to check all my clothes, bags everything right after I got back to make sure that there are no b d bugs. It did cast a unpleasing experience to a great holiday.

BEDBUGS! I stayed 15th-17th November in a private room and on the second night found bedbugs in the room. I saw a bug on the wall and then proceeded to check the bed. Found casings on the sheet and dangling from under bed. It was confusing as the mattress itself looked spotless. Reception didn't have a spare private room to give me, but didn't offer me a bunk either. No refund. They offered to give me new bedding and asked them to change it, which they did. But that really doesn't solve the issue. When I returned to the room I couldn't stop worrying about it, so I looked behind one of the picture frames near where I had seen the live bug above the bed and it was GRIM! I've added photos. I ended up sleeping on the wooden bench in the room cause I just couldn't make myself to get in the bed again. Threw out all the clothes I had worn in bed and am yet to go to the dry cleaners with the rest. It was a really upsetting experience.

after I woke up I had lots of insects bites all over my body. Seems like it was bed bugs. And I got allergies after and even after one week still handling this issue. Have all the photos as an evidence. The administration is also a bit rude. And this is the party hostel, so be ready that by evening the common area will be occupied Down below will have photo proofs. So 7 October, I was in Venice walking around. My hands and neck are perfectly clean, no rashes. Then I came to stay at hostel from 7-8 October . In the morning ( Tuesday photos) I took this photos in hostel. Then you can see how the redness is escalating. I am back home, and still have this problem. Got allergy from bites, whatever it was there. And it’s been a week now

They own this giant building practically outside of the train station. Every night people were in the common areas doing activities or drinking, and the property has great lounging areas both inside and outside. The main cons include the large amount of shady people in the park directly outside of the Hostel. We also found a bedbug in one bed and all the staff did was offer to give new sheets until a scene was made. Without any cleaning of the mattress, it was being used the day after…

Bed bugs!!! Our bags were absolutely infested after staying here. I would highly recommend avoiding. I'll need to pay thousands for an exterminator for my house now. If you don't want to bring bed bugs home, Don't go to Anda.

Avoid at all costs. Bed bugs and the hostel had a strange vibe to it - there were pretty much only Asian people from one country there. Lesson learnt - never again.

I stayed here for five days and took home bed bugs which infected my house and kept me up at night

- The sinks and the hair dryer were in the hallway of the bedroom and not in the bathrooms. It was disturbing at night. - The kitchen was too small for so many people. Most of the people ate outside but still it was very crowded in the evening and they just had a few pans that worked with the induction cooker... - the area around Mestre station and the hostel is good, at night I wouldn't walk too far away from the hostel, it might be sketchy...

It's written many times in the reviews that Anda is not on the island of Venice but this is not an issue, it's right beside the station and the train takes you there in 10min so for the cheaper price it's well worth it. My dorm and the bathrooms were clean, although I'm pretty sure I got a bed bug bite ... The bar was good and the breakfast in the morning looked good (didn't eat it). Would stay again.

I really enjoyed staying here and I met some great people. The dorms were nice and it was super easy to get into Venice. Unfortunately I had bed bugs so that was a bummer but I only had a backpack so it was easy to wash everything at my next stop. Still great review because I had a blast!

First everything seemed to be fine but something went wrong with our booking which made us need to pay much more than we expected. Woke up next morning with lots of bed bug bites.. The Staff was nice and everything but I personally wouldn’t come back again.

Ostello molto bello, arredato in modo ricercato pieno di giovani e ben organizzato... Le camere con bagno privato sono molto belle peccato per le cimici da letto: lo abbiamo fatto presente alla reception ma il ragazzo senza nemmeno farci finire di parlare ci ha chiaramente detto che tutti i materassi dell'hotel sono antiacaro, lasciandoci un po' interdetti (anche se sono antiacaro, vanno comunque puliti periodicamente i materassi). Parto dal presupposto che io e la mia compagna non siamo stati in nessun'altro hotel prima di approdare in questo, ma già dalla mattina dopo la prima notte io mi sono ritrovato un sacco di macchie rosse sulla pelle che mi prudevano, sono dovuto andare in farmacia per cercare di risolvere il problema da solo (con il passare dei giorni sia io che la mia compagna avevamo queste macchie sulla pelle). Il ragazzo della reception non è stato per nulla disponibile ad aiutarci o nemmeno prendere in considerazione la nostra problematica, anzi è stato anche scorbutico. Le colazioni molto buone, bello l'ambiente molto internazionale, tutto sommato la nostra permanenza è stata molto piacevole.. Gli asciugami e le lenzuola nelle stanze private (non so in quelle comuni) non vengono cambiate giornalmente; se per caso c'è bisogno di un ulteriore asciugamano bisogna chiedere alla reception il noleggio al prezzo di 3 euro e questo purtroppo lo abbiamo scoperto a nostre spese perché nessuno c'è lo aveva detto all'inizio (magari siamo noi poco esperti di ostelli). Il personale potrebbe essere un po' più gentile e darti qualche spiegazione in più, ma magari abbiamo beccato noi dei giorni un po' incasinati. La posizione è davvero ottima, vicinissima alla stazione di Mestre per raggiungere Venezia, che era la nostra meta. Torniamo a casa con tante macchie rosse sulla pelle ma con un bel ricordo di Venezia.
