Hostel Colombo Venice

HUYAN de este lugar, la experiencia que tuvimos fue horrible....la habitación llena de chinches ...aún seguimos con todo el cuerpo picado. Y para rematar hay un GETO dentro y fuera de ese "hotel" ... horrible experiencia....menos mal que solo fue una noche, no sé lo recomiendo a NADIE...SE TE PUEDEN FASTIDIAR LAS VACACIONES COMO A NOSOTRAS

Sehr sehr unfreundlich bei der Reception, Schimmel im Zimmer und verdreckt. Riesige Bettwanzen. Nicht weiterzuempfehlen!!!

Bed bugs everywhere, Do not stay in this place!!!

Als je wil slapen met de aanwezigheid van bedbugs dan kun je hier slapen! Wees slim en blijf thuis of ga naar een ander hostel. De mensen zijn verder wel lief en lekker croissantje sochtends.

Hay chinches en las camas.

The worst hostel I have ever been. The bed had bed BUGS and lots of other types of insects. AC didn't work and it was hot summer day. Sink didn't drain water and the shower head kept dropping Couldn't sleep one minute in there.

Bed bugs. Close to bus to go to Venice Island .

If I could give this zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute travesty . Bed bugs in every room, dirty rooms, horrible wifi which was only in the lobby . We had to pay for our sheets and towels and we didn't even receive them. No kitchen to cook food and no food from outside of the hostel allowed. The staff was unpleasant and unhelpful. This place is a scam; they know about the bed bugs and would not give a full refund! We got HALF of a refund because we demanded it . They made us pay in cash for our sheets so we couldn't get refunds . Anda Venice Hostel is where we went for the remainder of the trip and it is SO much better with an actual lively atmosphere and a great staff (also a 2 minute walk from the train station)! Go there instead! Unless you want bed bugs, avoid Hotel Colombo!

Se você quer ter experiência com bedbugs pode vir, o Hotel Colombo esta infestado deles. A higiene dos quartos é horrivel. Uma pena pois a loclização é perfeita, proximo da estação de trem e de paragens de onibus. Não fiquei nem uma noite e já fui embora. Nota zero!

Very bad hotel ...bed bugs ...very bad bathrooms...bunk beds in double rooms unpolite stuff ...not a good value for money...

At first we got a room with bed bugs, so we asked for another room which we received. The other room was fine :)

When we parked here, there were mattresses by the dumpster. We, of course, didn't think twice about it. The next morning we killed a bug, which we later figured out was a bed bug. When we got back that evening after a day in Venice we saw another one so we checked out early. If bed bugs is your thing, go for it. If not, RUN.

This hostel was terrible! I don't mind sharing a room with others, that's why the price is meant to be as cheap as it is, but I didn't pay to share my room with roaches and bed bugs. The number of bugs squished on the wall and between the sheets was staggering. When I told the front desk all I was told was "impossible." They offered to switch me to a different room but didn't bother with the other two that were staying in the same room. I was booked for two days and after the first I moved to a hotel. I wasn't offered a reimbursement for the second night that I refused to spend in the bug infested room. All I got was then calling me a cab (which I paid for) and a "good luck" as I walked out the door. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone, there are far better choice for just a few euros more.

Todo el servicio bien, salvo un problema. Descuidado el lugar por los dueños y hay chinches.

Клопы, толпы клопов! Все стены, постель, невозможно спать. Пришлось спать на диване в холле обе ночи. Bed bugs everywhere. No chance to sleep well - had to sleep in hall on a sofa.

This place is awful. It's below any standard and what they promise themself, eg. the pictures doesn't match the actual place. It's in no way worth the money it costs. We stayed there with a group of 17 people and found both bedbugs in at least three of the rooms, two broken toilets which didn't get fixed though it was pointed out everyday and generally things where in very bad condition and dirty. According to the bedbugs we was moved to another room when it was pointed out, the staff obviously knew there was this problem, but the next day we saw new people had moved into the room with the bugs. We found rotten garbage on a room which should be clean, broken things obviously didn't get fixed and the the indoor climate was terrible (one room was tropic and in another the windows couldn't close). The only good thing to say about this place is that it is close to the railway station so that you can easily escape. Our recommendation is to choose any other hostel than this.

Google reviews ruined my stay! Here I slept poorly because the whole night I was worried about bedbugs and other disgusting things. In the end, the place was in not great condition, and a bit messy, it was really quite okay. And what would you expect from a place where you can get a private room for under 30€ in Venice?

There were nasty bed bugs! No compensation for our two night stay either! The room was disgusting and there were dead bugs platered on the walls. Not worth it.

The bed I was given was infested with bed bugs. I had over fifty bites on my person, fifteen of them on my face. When I went down to complain, the night receptionist told me they could move the following day and that they had no other vacancies that night. When I told him I'd be sleeping in the lobby, he magically found a room that was practically empty. After being moved, I was not bitten again. I asked to see the manager multiple times and was always told he'd be around at a different point in the day. Finally, on my last evening, I asked a different receptionist to please call the manager so I could discuss being refunded some of my stay. After this man was extremely unhelpful, he eventually rung the manager who seemed very apologetic on the phone and agreed to give me a refund for the two nights I was in the infested room as well as a meal voucher for my last night. Satisfied, I gave the phone back to the receptionist, who said something to the manager, hung up, and then told me there was nothing he could do for me. I protested that the manager had just said to refund me two nights, but he refused and told me I could wait to see the boss when he was there in an hour. Guess who was not there an hour later. I asked him to call again, he said he was talking to the manager online, and at that point I was so frustrated I started to cry. He must have told his boss I was making a scene (and you can bet I showed everyone who asked all of my marks) because he eventually slid me ONE night's refund and a meal voucher and said that's what his boss told him to do. While the receptionist's attitude wasn't the greatest, I think the management needs to get itself in line. This is absolutely unacceptable. The receptionist tried to compare my asking for money back to deciding mid-way through a meal at a restaurant that I didn't like what I was served and asking for my money back. Just so everyone knows what is included in your stay: BED BUGS.
