3 stars - it's ok. Rooms are subpar - somewhat unclean, I can confirm there are bed bugs (although I was provided with a sheet that mitigated against this), bathroom is pretty dirty & no WiFi is provided. The room was beside the kitchen so a little noisy at times, but not bothersome in late hours. There were some holes in the walls which was a little concerning but the accommodation has cats to deter any rats or insects. By the looks of things the private room is worth the price difference to the dorm room (the fan in my room worked decently well). Service was fine - helpful with some initial advice, there's also useful information on the entrance wall about tours, geography of Dili, transport companies etc. I was never hungry for the included breakfast but never saw what this actually was, so can't comment on it. Location - pretty good. 10 minutes walk from a mall with food court which also has ATMs. The microlet number 9 route into Dili is only about 2 minutes walk from the property. Close to airport if you're flying in and out. If I was advising someone I would probably suggest they try to find alternatives over this accommodation because the rooms/facilities are disappointing. If you're not a fussy person like me about some hygiene issues this will probably be serviceable as a last resort for your limited time in Dili.

The host says they are not good at divination. They are also not so skilled at maintaining a hostel. Non-breakfast, on a street with loud dogs, no AC, grime, uncomfortable beds, I have heard tell from some of bedbugs. Especially considering the better options at the same price closer to the beach, with friendlier guests and generally helpful and relaxed attitude, I cannot recommend anyone stay here. Same area, closer to the beac, you will find at least 1 alternative to this place.

De muur bij de ingang hangt vol praktische Dili-intel over tours, geografie en vervoersbedrijven, en de eigenaar kan helpen met Timor-plannen, scooterhuur en lokale logistiek. Dat telt hier: goede online info over Timor kan dun gezaaid zijn, dus Casa Minha werkt het best als goedkope uitvalsbasis waar advies en basic overlevingsdetails deel van de waarde zijn. Reken op een heel eenvoudige backpacker-setup bij Timor Plaza, aan de luchthavenkant van de stad, met toegang tot microlets, een paar restaurants en een mini-market of convenience shop op het terrein. Er is een gedeelde keuken, koffie en thee kunnen beschikbaar zijn, en ontbijt hangt af van je kamer of boekingsconstructie. Privékamers kunnen airco hebben; goedkopere kamers kunnen alleen een ventilator hebben, met harde of dunne matrassen. De sociale kant lijkt beter dan de hardware. Andere reizigers ontmoeten kan makkelijk zijn, en het personeel of de eigenaar kan vriendelijk, spraakzaam en nuttig zijn voor plannen. Tegelijk zijn service en boekingsbetrouwbaarheid wisselvallig, met problemen rond prijswijzigingen, volledige betaling bij aankomst en reserveringen die niet altijd kloppen met de beschikbaarheid. Dit is geen gepolijste comfortkeuze. Schoonmaak is een serieus zwak punt, vooral badkamers, gemeenschappelijke ruimtes, stof, vuil en oude voorzieningen. Bedwantsen zijn een probleem geweest. Casa Minha past alleen bij budgetreizigers die ruwe randjes aankunnen en locatie, keukentoegang en lokale hulp belangrijker vinden dan een schone, comfortabele kamer.
