In the middle of the night i discovered a huge nest of big bedbugs in my cabin. I told the reception but they didn’t seem interested or worried. They didn’t help me to find a solution so I went to another hotel. They told me they would close the building and clean everything. When I came back in the room a few hours later, the bed was made for a new guest already. This problem was not taken seriously!

Hostelworld lists this address as The Bohemian Chic Hostel. If you book the women's executive dorm, you will be placed in their "sister hostel", the Chic Capsule Otel. The following review is for said room. The main reason I'm giving this place one star is because upper-management (David, who I spoke to over the phone) was absolutely rude to me when I complained and asked for a refund. I have never been spoken to in that manner by hospitality management in my life. He told me that we all have a choice in life, and that I had chosen to be a difficult customer, and that I was "wasting his time". I regret ever finding this place, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Other reasons I was unhappy here: 1) One shower/ toilet combo for 12 beds with a heavy door that was hard to open. You also can't tell if anyone is in there. 2) The towel smelled DISGUSTING. 3) TV was confusing and there were no instructions posted. It turned out my remote was broken, it took some time for the problem to be resolved. 4) I saw a bug on the wall and squished it. I'm paranoid about bed bugs so I checked the mattress and saw black things in the cracks. The property manager was convinced it was dust, I was not, as I am not familiar with black dust. I freaked out and left. (Without a refund.). Maybe I was just being paranoid, but I wasn't going to take a chance and I was already unhappy at that point.

Great service for a cute little hostel but my top bunk bed was dipped/drooping downwards and another girl got bed bugs

The Bohemian ligt in Chinatown, dicht bij MRT-links, food streets en een makkelijke route naar de luchthaven. Het werkt het best als korte Singapore-basis voor solo backpackers die meer geven om locatie, vriendelijke hulp aan de desk en kans op mensen ontmoeten dan om gepolijste faciliteiten. De sociale kant is gemengd maar echt. Ontbijt, de receptielounge, stafftips en soms outings zoals de Gardens by the Bay light show kunnen het makkelijk maken om met mensen te praten. Andere avonden kunnen stil of vlak voelen, dus verwacht geen volledige partyhostel-machine. Het gebouw is de tradeoff. Kamers kunnen krap, donker, heet of kort aan bagageruimte zijn, en sommige bedden zijn heel klein of hebben geen gordijnen. De badkamers zijn het grootste zwakke punt: douche en toilet zitten vaak in hetzelfde piepkleine hokje, waardoor vloer, bril en toiletpapier nat kunnen worden. Ontbijt is basic, meestal toast- of cereal-territory. Staff zijn meestal een plus, met handige city tips en praktische hulp, maar service is niet perfect consistent. Kies dit voor Chinatown access en losse sociale kansen, niet voor sleek comfort.

- Badkamers kunnen piepkleine gecombineerde douche-toilet hokjes zijn, met natte vloeren en beperkte beschikbaarheid per verdieping.
- Sommige kamers hebben schimmel, muffe geuren, zwakke luchtstroom, geen ramen of zeer beperkte bagageruimte.
- Bedden kunnen kort, krap, wankel of zonder privacygordijnen zijn, afhankelijk van de kamer.
- Kaartbetaling kan vereisen dat je naar een ander nabij bedrijf gaat, en cash kan makkelijker zijn.
