BED BUGSS, the receptionist was rude and the supervisor wasn’t answering the phone when I wanted to make a complaint.

BEDBUGS! terrible reception times…

None of the doors were working, it was really hot in the rooms. The guy in the same room as me got bitten everywhere we couldn’t figure out if it was mosquitoes or bed bugs so be careful, I left after 1 night.

I suspected unfortunately there are bed bugs in my bed as i got 7 to 10 bites.

There were a lot of bedbugs in my room! They bit me. There is a terrible smell in the room. Some kind of chemistry. It gave me a headache. For these reasons, it is impossible to live in this room!! In panic and horror, I left the apartment, room 104

BED BUGS!!! me and my boyfriend got bit by bed bugs at the hostel. NO REFUND Found a small white-yellow bed bug nymph ON THE BED late night (reception closed - couldn’t do anything ). Within 1 day after check out, we got red itchy bites all over our bodies. We were only staying 1 night, out sightseeing all day. Had to buy treatment creams and deal with huge stress at our trip. Sent photos immediately to hostel & Booking.com. Hostel denied my request, no full refund despite clear proof. They stopped responding. Found another recent review (which is posted a week ago in google maps) about severe bed bug infestation here. This shows a clear ongoing problem. This is unfair not to have a refund despite a CLEAR PROOF! DO NOT STAY - check beds carefully or risk same nightmare. The location doesn’t matter that much, Budapest is beautiful and a walkable city, better check some other hotels that are affordable too. Additionally to this it’s dirty and loud, I was pretty ready for this due to the price, but not the bed bugs!!!

La habitación 204 parecía en orden y limpia hasta que pude ver un insecto pequeño en la cama, parecido a un chinche. No le di importancia hasta que al día siguiente me encontré picaduras por todo el cuerpo, pues, piernas, espalda, barriga, cabeza y cuello. También pasé muy mala noche por alergia a ácaros, esas camas deben de no haberlas limpiado en mucho tiempo. La localización está muy bien, los empleados atienden bien y baños y duchas, para el precio está bien,pero no es tolerable que haya polvo y ácaros acumulados y menos tolerable aún amanecer con picaduras de insectos muy parecidas a las de los chinches. Recomendación si pasas noche allí al volver a casa, lava todo lo que haya estado en contacto con las camas y suelo.

I booked a private room for one night and had to leave in the middle of the night, at 3 a.m., during winter with snow outside, because the room was infested with bed bugs. I went to bed and I woke up to being bitten. I went to the reception, but no one was there. On the phone they told me they didn't know if any other rooms were available, and suggested I leave and find another hotel—at 3 a.m. in the middle of winter! I had no choice but to leave, and the next day I spent hours washing all my clothes. Unfortunately, I lost two cashmere sweaters because I had to wash them at high temperatures. When I came back the next day to ask for a refund, they gave me the room refund, but when I asked for reimbursement for the laundry costs, they blocked my number and ignored me. The whole experience was extremely stressful, and I was worried for weeks that the bed bugs might follow me home. It completely ruined my vacation. Do not stay here—it’s disgusting.
