    Chambre privative infestée de bed bugs. Je suis restée seulement 1h dans la chambre. Une punaise écrasée après ma sieste et une grosse qui courait sur le mur derrière le lit. Le propriétaire m'a fait directement un remboursement mais doit régler ce problème car les commentaires à ce sujet datent de plusieurs mois !

    BED BUGS / PUNAISES DE LIT ! Nous avons dormi ici en Février 2026 et avons trouvé des punaises de lit. Le gérant nous avait dit que c'était un vieux problème qui était réglé mais ce n'est pas du tout le cas. Malgré les photos, il refuse de nous rembourser. Surtout n'allez pas dans cet hostel, ça nous a gâché le séjour et ils n'ont pas du tout été aidants.

    Really disappointing and now costing me a small fortune! Put the hostel into google maps after I got off the train and first thing I saw was a picture of a bed bug. Just had to find another place to stay. Ain’t no one got time for bed bugs. Do better

    The next day I had bed bug bites, suspect it was the duvet that the cover didn’t close properly. Staff weren’t around to get fresh linen so I changed bed to a vacant one. Extra care needs to be taken with linen to prevent bugs spreading.

    It's a great place to stay in Milan! The room for four girls was big enough. I liked that the shower and toilet with a sink were separated. A huge towel was included, it was clean, but still had an unpleasant smell(( Also, my bedside lamp was covered with a thick layer of dust (it would have been easier to clean them if they had a plain shape 😁😉) It can be a bit noisy at night if you leave your windows open because of the busy street, so I advise you to bring earplugs 😉 There were no bedbugs in our room! And I should say, the mattress was the most comfortable I've slept on during my trip! There are really big lockers for everyone in the room! The hostel is very close to the central train station (about a 12-15 minute walk). They kindly agreed me to store my luggage before/after my stay. The girl who works there was veeery nice and helpful 🤗

    BED BUGS!!!! Do yourself a favour and dont stay here, there are bed bugs here and the management is horrible. We spent all day at the laundromat and 30€ after finding them in our luggage and are unsure if we even killed them all, no compensation for the laundry costs of course. Bed bugs have historically been a problem in this place, read old reviews, they are extremely hard to get rid of. We had to basically beg for a refund for the last night and didnt get it for days. Go to ostello bello up the road instead, clean, free food and good vibe

    Very unique and eclectic property, close to the train station. 3 stars seems harsh, but 6 out of 10 would be about right! The dim lighting and "well loved" furniture gives it Victorian like vibes. We were in Room 12, and no issues with bed bugs, though we didn't put anything on the beds just in case. When we arrived, a staff member was sanitizing or fumigating our room around each beds and the lockers which shows they're at least trying to solve the issue people have mentioned. The mattresses looked brand new as well as the mattress protector, the sheets and provided towels were clean. Beds were comfortable enough and the privacy curtains are a nice touch. Unfortunately the airconditioning wasn't working which meant it was quite warm, and leaving the window open for air flow meant we had some mosquitoes in the room. There were lockers for 3 out of the 4 beds, so we just shared a locker as one of us didn't have an allocated one. There are convenient plug sockets by each bed, though a shelf to put your stuff on would be nice. The bathrooms on the second floor could use an update. The 2 toilet rooms were good and always stocked with toilet paper, but the only sink is in the shower room. The shower room could benefit from an overall upgrade. Perhaps some shelves to put things in the shower and more hooks to hang your things so it's not on the floor. You have to let the shower run for about 3 minutes before you get any warm water, and the temperature drastically fluctuates without warning. Definitely budget more time for a shower than normal, as there are only 2 showers for the whole hostel. The staff we dealt with were pleasant and helpful! We were able to arrive early in the morning, leave our bags in a storage room, and check-in later. Getting into the accommodation was easy with the emailed instructions. I would say, if you're arriving during reception hours, it would be best!

    This hostel has bed bugs!! We found out when we got to our room. We told the staff and they took this very serieus. They send us to another hostel because they have the same owner, however this hostel was even dirtier. The hostel is called koala hostel, the room has no curtains, it was very dirty, it had no airco and it was very noisy.

    Bed bugs! After checking my hostel bed for a second i immediately spotted a big bed bug. I told the employee who was convinced that I was right. At least I got refunded for the full night. For a hostel which costs so much and had already so many bed bug issues I hoped that during the cleaning they would have taken a closer look, since the bed bug was really obviously.

    The building is old and infected by Bed bug and mosquito, toilet and shower room very small. There no air conditioning and windows open direct to outside garden which is so much mosquito.

    Bed bugs presenti nella camera 12. Ho segnalato dopo la prima notte e apprezzato moltissimo la disponibilità dello staff e del manager di sanificare nel pomeriggio la camera. Purtroppo, cambiando letto, la seconda mattina mi sono svegliato alle 6 con gli insetti addosso e il corpo nuovamente ricoperto di pinzi. Non essendoci reception fino a tarda mattina, sono dovuto scappare. Nessun rimborso dalla prima notte, ne dalla seconda. Staff perfetto e struttura carina. Combattete l’infestazione.

    BEDBUGS. This is the main word to define this place. Probably there’s not even a single bed that doesn’t have bedbugs. As I walked to the hall to tell the staff, there were already other five girls complaining about the same problem. Some of them were covered with bites. I immediately left the structure and didn’t even spend a single night there. I found out that this problem has been going on since almost EVER, and you can notice that as you scroll through reviews. If so, then why nothing is happening to change that? This place should be closing, if not forever, at least for a sanitisation. But it seems that they just don’t care about that, and keep scamming people. SHAME.

    I first got room in the 3rd floor (4-bed, female dorm, as I booked). There was absolutely no hot water in the shower. I talked to the receptionist, who than called the owner, the answer was something like "This is not a 4 star hotel". No, obviously not. But I payed almost 200 euros for four nights, I think it's fair to expect hot water in the shower at least. In the morning I discovered a bedbug in my bed. I am reeeeeally afraid of bugs, imagine my horror discovering one in the bed that I'm supposed to sleep in. I got another room in the 1st floor. No bugs, hot shower. Eventhough the place has a really cool, 70ies vibe, with all the books and decorations, it really needs to be renovated. Everything seems kind of (too) old, and even if I can't say that it is not clean, when the building and everything in it is in thate shape, you are under the impression that it is somewhat dirty. The biggest problem was the hot water, or the lack of it, and of course the bedbuds, which I find totally unacceptable. The only reason I'm giving it a 6 is the really friendly staff, otherwise it would be a 5 from me. The owner should really come by and stay in some of the rooms for a night or two and than maybe do some thinking. ✌🏻

    It was the worst stay we've ever had. Everything seemed fine when we arrived—clean room, normal check-in. However, when we returned to the room after walking all day and planned to get some rest, bedbugs appeared. There were plenty of them—they were everywhere, biting us and feeding on our blood. We tried to find another hotel, but all the nearby hotels were fully booked. We spent the entire night without sleeping, struggling with the insects. It was disgusting.

    Bed bugs, a lot.. So, until disinfected and cleaned avoid at any cost. There are 2 indisputable things to expect from a hostel - a safe sleep in a clean bed and running hot water. I would highly recommend the owner instead of asking me to write a good review and for private messages, if I have "recommendations', to fix the bed bug issue, and the good reviews will follow without asking. But until then, one can find a cheaper place, even without bed bugs, in Milano, as the higher review score allows for the higher prices the hostel asks compared to similar ones, but really, it is not worth the pain you get.

    (ENGLISH) Gran Hotel Coconut is one of the worst travelliing esperiences that I have ever had in my entire life. The staff is absolutely incapable of helping clients due to their lack of fluency both in the English as well as the Italian language. They are obviously underpaid and taken advantage of by their employer, and personally, I would send the Social Service to do an investigation. Speaking of the facilities, the beds are horribly uncomfortable, and the pillows are old and worn out, all twisted up, and will surely give you a crick in the neck. The rooms have no airconditioning and are packed full of mosquitoes. At least I thought they were mosquitoes, but they were really bedbugs!!! From the very first night, I felt bugs biting me all over my body (hair, ears, face, neck, arms, body, legs, feet, genitals). I told the receptionist and they told me that they were mosquitoes. That seemed strange, as the bites happend only while I was sleeping. I slept in a room with eight bunk beds and my roommates were all complaining of the same symptoms. After I complained, they gave me another bed, but I still got bit even worse. I went to the dermatologist when I got home and they confirmed bed bugs, a ton of them. It would be better to sleep on the floor at the central train station than in this place. On top of all that, the receptionist charges my card three times "on accident" and in the end I paid triple the price, and when I realized it, they kept saying "I talked to my boss and he will let me know". I waited 24 hours and he never let them know and they siad they can do nothing without his approval. Then I tried to resolve the problem with my credit card company. I ended up paying almost €500 for two nights in an uncomfortable bunk-bed in this horrendous hostel. WATCH OUT ... They are dishonest theives. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (ITALIAN) Gran Hostel Coconut è una delle esperienze peggiore che ho mai avuto in vita mia. Lo staff è assolutamente incapace di aiutarti con qualsiasi richiesta essendo carente in Inglese e anche in Italiano. Sicuramente sono semplicemente dei schiavi sottopagati e sfruttati e io personalmente manderei i servizi sociali ad indagare. Parlando della struttura, i letti sono orribilmente scomodi e i cuscini strausati, arttorcigliati e ricette per darti una bel attacco di cervicale. Le stanze sono anche senza airiacondizionata e pienissime di zanzare, almeno pensavo zanzare, ma in realtà erano cimici da letto!!! Già dalla prima notte avvertivo delle punture di insetti su tutto il corpo (capelli, orreccie, viso, collo, bracia, busto, gambe, piedi, genitali). Ho avvertito la recezionista e mi hanno detto che erano zanzare. Mi sembrava strano che non avevo visto zanzare e mi succedeva solo mentre dormivo. Dormivo in una stanza con otto letti a castello e tutti gli abitanti avvertivano gli stessi sintomi. Quando ho lamemtato, mi hanno dato un altro letto, ma è successo la stessa cosa ma peggio. Sono andato dal dermatologo quando sono rientrato a casa e mi ha confermato che erano cimici da letto e non poche. Meglio dormire per terra nella stazione centrale che passare una notte in questa struttura. A parte tutto questo, la recezione ha caricato la mia carta di credito piú volte facendomi pagare tre volte il prezzo e, quando mi sono accorto piú tardi, sono stati incapaci di correggere l'errore dicendo in continuazione tutto il giorno che doveva far sapere qualcosa il loro "capo". Ho aspettato 24 ore e il "capo" non si è fatta sentire e loro continuavano a dirmi che non possono fare nulla senza di lui. Alla fine ho cercato di risolvere il problema con la mia compagnia della carta di credito. Alla fine ho pagato quasi €500 per due notti in un letto a castello in questa struttura orrenda. QUI BISOGNA STARE ATTENTI ... Questi sono ladri disonesti.

    When we was ready to sleep and put the cover away all the sheet was full with bedbugs, and we saw some more at the flor. The hostel was furnished in a very old style with old furnitures with a type of smell and probably a bunch of bedbugs.

    This is not a true hostel. The property is extremely unhygienic and unsanitary. The bedbugs are very dangerous to the guests health. I am stating this as a young scientist in the field of infectious diseases and next year's graduate as a medical doctor. The health authorities should not put up with this type of unprofessional conduct. I am going to pursue this case very seriously.

    There is no hot water on the 3rd floor (I’ve been waited more than 3 minutes). But manager don’t want to fix it BEDBUGS I still have bite marks on my arm and legs, I’ve spend almost 26€ for the medicine, and I still didn’t received apology from the hostel. They just didn’t answer to my mails that means that BEDBUGS are still inside of mattress.

    Long story short: there are BED BUGS and the hostel seems to have no intention to do something against it!!!! The long story: I was staying here to attend a conference for 5 days (4 nights). I booked a female dorm which I also got. After waking up the first morning I had some bites on my body which I assumed to be mosquito bites from the night before. However it only got worse after the next night. The 3rd night I woke up seeing a little red-ish bug and finally put 1 and 1 together: BEDBUGS! I realized I had seen already on my arrival some black spots on the sheets (which i just assumed to be some old stains as I didn’t know this was a sign for bed bugs). I was having a really severe allergic reaction so I had to go to a pharmacy for a cortisone cream. Once I had realized the situation I wrote to the hostel in the morning from my conference and asked them how we should proceed. I did not get any reply. When I arrived back in my room at ca. 18:00 I saw that my bed had been touched (some things had been moved, I assumed the mattress had been lifted) and I immediately saw on the bed sheet a “skin” from a bug. I went down to the receptionist who then told me that the manager had been by to look at it (he didn’t tell me what the “result” of this was though). I asked him what now and he told me “if you don’t want to stay in that bed I can offer you a different room”. I said that I obviously do not want to stay in that bed as I was able to see all the signs of a bed bug infection (to which he did not reply). He said I could go into the room next door from mine however it would be a mixed dorm instead of a female dorm - for which no reduction of the price would have been made. Another room was not available. He also said he would ask his manager regarding some kind of general refund for my situation while I would move rooms. Shortly after he arrived at my door to tell me that the manager had said that I will not get a refund (at all) if I go to the other room.

    Bedbugs. I saw the many problem reviews on Google (after already booking) but hoped it was taken care of. Unfortunately, it wasn't... the two guys in the bunks below me committed bedbug murder through the night (one killed 5, the other killed 1). I got lucky with the upper bunk, no bugs in mine (that I knew of) but it was worrisome. I was scheduled to leave in the morning anyway, only a night's stay, but the other two guys cut their stay short and went to another hostel. Bathroom was spacious, but the shower was a bit difficult to use, and never really got hot. Since there was a heat wave, this wasn't as bothersome as it could have been. It was super hot during the night, and the staff connected the aircond but didn't leave us the remote control to actually turn it on, nor did they inform us (window was open but room didn't have a fan). All 3 of us in the room just suffered the heat through the night until the morning when I mentioned it to the staff and they said we didn't ask... But why not leave us the remote at the least? Upper bunks are a bit difficult to climb for short people like me (I'm 157cm or 5ft2). It's an older wooden bunk design that's cute but not the most practical. First rung starts at my mid-thigh and the vertical rails are difficult to grip (not enough space between rail and ladder, and I have small hands). Not the cleanest... There was a random leftover partial fake eyelash on the shelf in my bunk. Hard to miss since it was black and fuzzy and the entire bunk bed structure is white. No airconditioning or fans in the common areas, though it was pleasant enough when there was a breeze. Needless to say I booked somewhere else for my return through Milan.

    Bed bugs in the dorm! I thougth it was mosquitoes and did not say anything. And I saw them applying mastic during the day without thinking much of it at the time. But now I understand that they knew and left me to sleep there 2 more nights! I even got bed bugs in my bags and had to wash everything and spend a fortune in sprays when I got home... (the storage of luggage is in timber under the bed).

    I was eaten alive by bedbugs.Subsequent to leaving there I read reviews from recently and they mentioned bedbugs so the management must have known they had a problem and yet they put me in a room that they must have known was infested.That is not a way to treat your paying customers.
