Rooms are home of Bedbugs. Now we have to freeze all clothes and throw away the suitcase

Our first room had BED BUGS. My husband was bit on his arm, and he had AWFUL, RED RASHES from just a short, jet lagged night of sleep. At night, living on the “first” floor, it was very noisy outside, we could clearly hear people having private conversations while we were trying to sleep, until 2:30 AM. It might’ve been the design of the building that cause the sound to project so loudly into our room’s, but it was definitely very disturbing for my children’s sleep. Other than that, it was an acceptable stay.

Absolute flith, I am paying almost 300 Euros a night and to think that there are BED BUGS. My brother who slept on the top got bed bugs bites all over himself. When I tried to ask staff for help they just denied the fact that those were bed bugs bites and were extremely unresonable during the whole ordeal. After, we tried to ask for compensation they not only threatened to kick us out and call the POLICE, one of their employees tall, bald black man. Decided to THREATEN us with FORCE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Unfortunately in our room there was a case of bed bugs so we had to change room many times during the night, they said they were washing and dry our clothes but they were still wet so we could not use them the day after.. They helped us finding solutions but only after we pushed a bit

The employees couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. The people who work here are a true asset to StayOkay The room/bed however hadn’t been cleaned as there was trash under my pillow. I also woke up with bug bites every morning on my hands, ankles, back and arms - I’m confident this was due to bedbugs from the StayOkay Oost hostel bed I was assigned. I also saw mice frequently in the night time around the lobby area, which is also a bar/kitchen. Stayokay Oost is a great place to stay, I would stay again if the cleaning and bug issue improves. I feel like the price of the accommodation did not reflect my stay, as it was too expensive for a hostel - for the price I wouldn’t expect cleaning issues, to make my own bed or to come away with bedbug bites.

Ich war hier drei Nächte in einem 8 Bett Zimmer. Der Service war super nett und es wirkte eigentlich echt alles super. Nun bin ich weiter gereist, eine Woche später und ich habe am ganzen Körper total krasse !!Bettwanzenstiche!! die nur von dort sein können, ich bin echt entsetzt, absoluter Reinfall. Achtung Achtung‼️‼️

Das Personal wat sehr sehr nett und es war auch alles sauber. Für ein Hostel war es viel zu teuer, nur zu Amsterdampreisen glaube ich leider normal. Frühstück preislich. Unglücklicherweise hatten wir kurz danach Bettwanzen in unseren Klamotten etc. die wahrscheinlich von hier sind. Bis auf den Vorfall war alles trotzdem total ok.

Stayed here for 3 weeks with 40+ students. The location is great and the lobby is really big and open so it is a great space to hang out and do work. However, we had some pretty big issues there. Some of the students stayed in rooms with bed bugs. I saw multiple mice in the hostel lobby (and one in the cafeteria). The elevators were constantly breaking and people kept getting stuck in them. There was mold in some of the showers. Additionally, there are often large groups of young students staying there so it can be quite noisy (this is not regarding cleanliness or safety, it's more of a preference thing). All in all, I would recommend staying somewhere else!

Bedwansen!!!(Bedbugs) De service bij dit hotel was zeer goed met aardig personeel en een leuk hostel de kamers waren ook prachtig, maar er zaten vele bedwansen in onze kamer en de kamer die we daarna kregen ook!!! (Let op deze rescensie is nep)

Bedbugs

The hotel is pretty good no doubt about that. But one thing I have read before and experienced with my friends is that they have bedbugs in most of Their beds. Now all of my body is hurting and scrathing me.

DO NOT GO. I went with my mother and aunt for a birthday trip. The three beds assigned to us were filled with BEDBUGS. It got so bad that my mother had to go to the hospital. An additional 300 EUROS that we had to spend.
