The location is excellent, right next to the train station. Be aware of possible bed bugs!!! We were aware that this type of accommodation would not be particularly comfortable. It was chosen as a special birthday experience for our son. We expected simple conditions, uncomfortable beds and shared sanitary facilities, and we did not have a problem with that. However, bed bugs are not acceptable. After reporting the issue to the accommodation by email, I received a reply apologising for the bites I had “may have experienced” and stating that I should have informed the staff directly on site. They stated that they “will perform a whole check”, which I truly hope they will do thoroughly and seriously. For other guests: A typical sign of bed bug bites is multiple bites in one area, often appearing in a line or row. I personally had more than 40 bites on my legs, arms and face. This was exactly the pattern I later noticed and only afterwards learned to be characteristic of bed bugs.

We had a great stay at the Train Lodge! We slept very well, the beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and it was a calm environment. The only downside to our visit was finding a bedbug the morning we we’re leaving.The staff were very alert about it though.

!!!!! BED BUGS !!!!! Scares everywhere on my body. They didn't helped me. Nice crew. Very bad boss in a beautiful place full or arts.

There are some BED BUGS in the room !!!! I was suffering from really bad itch! ---- (edited after days) Good thing is they try to fix it. I got a part of refund. And they say they will treat the compartment.

O Train Lodge Amsterdam é um albergue de comboios de dormir ao lado da estação de Sloterdijk. A configuração do trem é a principal atração, e torna a viagem para o centro de Amsterdã e para Schiphol simples. As cabines são muito pequenas, com camas empilhadas, espaço limitado para a cabeça e pouco espaço para as malas. Os leitos superiores podem ser difíceis de alcançar, e alguns quartos podem parecer quentes, sufocados ou barulhentos. Banheiros e banheiros compartilhados são básicos, e a limpeza ou manutenção pode variar. A equipe às vezes é simpática e prestativa, mas a configuração é melhor para uma estadia curta e orientada para novidades do que para conforto.
Sinais para conferir
- As cabines são muito pequenas, com espaço limitado para a cabeça e pouco espaço para bagagem.
- As camas superiores podem ser difíceis de alcançar.
- Banheiros e sanitas comuns podem ser básicos, com limpeza e manutenção desiguais.
- O barulho passa facilmente pelas carruagens e os trens que passam podem ser ouvidos.
- O aquecimento e o fluxo de ar podem ser desiguais.
- O acesso ao quarto pode depender do pessoal, visto que as chaves pessoais nem sempre são fornecidas.
