STAY CLEAR OF THIS HOSTEL! The beds are full of bed bugs. They haven't changed the mattresses in a long long time.

Horrible! I was bitten by bed bugs. This hostel is so filthy. I've been at third floor. All the rooms are with carpets who smell intensity to stinky feet.I was totally shocked when I've arrived. My expectations were little higher because of all the good reviews which I cannot understand at all. I stayed in a 4 bed room. I only could survive that time because of nice people I've met. But also some roommate has stolen money from me - it ruined it again. The staff is so unprofessional and unmotivated of helping your organization things- they are good in talking though. But I did not feel like in a big family at all.Maybe when the alcoholism starts. The only positive thing: when I told Hannah about the bedbugs she really helped me out. But yah, that is no reason being totally thankfull. They also lied about the fact that towels are included. It costs 500 huf plus 500huf rent. The "apartment" I've got to stay was so running down. You have to do you dishes( of course :).) but have no towels to dry your hands afterwards the same in toilet. I asked for some twice but nothing happened. i know it is low budget but ruined my whole trip.never do party hostel again! Such a chaos und always having hangover because I haven't get some sleep in the stupid bedbugged bed!

Vitae Hostel e uma base pequena e muito social em Budapeste, com cerca de 60 camas, montada para conhecer viajantes rapido e cair na noite do 7o Distrito. A equipe organiza atividades diarias e noturnas, drinking games, pub crawls, noites de clube e as vezes eventos maiores como party boats, com a equipe frequentemente entrando na acao em vez de so mandar todo mundo sair. O hostel funciona melhor para viajantes solo e grupos que querem uma cena movimentada e facil de entrar. Ha varias areas comuns, uma varanda para sol, uma cozinha grande e uma vibe relaxada de festa em casa, onde pode ser simples achar alguem para sair a noite ou dar uma volta pela cidade. A localizacao e central o bastante para caminhar por muita coisa em Budapeste, com comida, bares e transporte por perto. Tem ate um SNES, o que combina com o lugar: meio improvisado, social e mais sobre ficar junto do que energia de hotel polido. Quando funciona bem, o Vitae pode parecer um grande apartamento compartilhado, com equipe amigavel, guarda-volumes depois do checkout, suprimentos basicos de cafe da manha as vezes e um grupo de WhatsApp usado para planos. Isto nao e uma escolha de conforto silencioso. E melhor lido como um party hostel com motor social forte, instalacoes irregulares e publico jovem. Venha por noites fora, amizades rapidas e caos budapestense de baixa friccao; escolha outro lugar para sono, privacidade, banheiros impecaveis ou um reset calmo.
Sinais para conferir
- O barulho pode ir ate tarde, especialmente quando grupos de festa voltam depois das noites em clubes.
- Limpeza e manutencao podem ser irregulares, com problemas recorrentes em banheiros, chuveiros, cheiros nos dormitorios, pisos e camas gastas.
- Lockers podem ser pequenos, quebrados ou ausentes em alguns quartos, entao objetos de valor precisam de cuidado extra.
- O hostel pode ser dificil de encontrar dentro de um predio antigo, e escadas podem fazer parte do pacote quando o elevador nao e confiavel.
- A privacidade e limitada: camas de dormitorio podem nao ter cortinas, e alguns quartos podem ser apertados ou quentes no verao.
- O lugar e fortemente orientado para festa, entao pode ser desconfortavel se noites de bebida nao forem a sua vibe.
- Pode haver uma politica de idade envolvendo viajantes mais velhos; confirme diretamente antes de reservar.
