Great location within walking distance of public transit and a variety of restaurants, cafes, and boutiques. The vibe is social but chill. I enjoyed going out and visiting nearby places with other guests. Small concerns: Some places to plug in, but a lot of outlets don't provide power. There's not space to hang towels or put objects in showers. When more than one person is showering (there is one bathroom, gender neutral, for all residents) water pressure significantly decreases. Medium concerns: The room I booked was advertised with A/C. It did not have A/C. The listing said there was a washing machine as an amenity; I was informed that was incorrect so had to pay for laundry services at another business (a cost that I thought would have been avoided). The wifi is not strong enough for coworking; I had to go to a nearby cafe to take calls. There's a variety of misleading and conflicting signage around the hostel regarding reception availability, cost of renting a towel, wifi passwords, and more. The free breakfast advertised is bread, jam, and tea or instant coffee; the kitchen doesn't have an oven or stovetop, so plan to not prepare food. The women's shower area (off of the restroom) door does not close all the way and the doorknob is broken. Big concern: More than anything, management was odd. Along with the misleading signage and incorrectly advertised amenities. On my second day, my food was stolen despite labeling it very obviously, and when I told reception they said "this happens at hostels all the time...well what do you want me to do about it?"—have some sympathy and hospitality maybe? Send a message in the whatsapp to remind people not to take labeled food that isn't theirs? They also deleted messages in the whatsapp about opening the door (after hours, we'd often be locked out for 5-10 minutes if someone wasn't at the desk, so sending a message was common protocol), and other girls' concerns about potential bedbugs. A simple address like "thank you for bringing this to our attention, we take it seriously" would have been way more professional. Instead they deleted it and never addressed it.

L’hôtel est très bien placé et les dortoirs sont agréables, ce sont les deux seuls points positifs. Les sanitaires sont sales et en mauvais état, il y a presque pas de séparation entre les douches des femmes et des hommes. Le personnel n’est pas agréable et quand je suis partie une personne se plaignait de punaises de lits dans le dortoir homme. Et surtout, hostel world m’avait annoncé que je paierai 1092$ à la propriété et l’hostel m’a débité directement sur mon compte de 1300$.
