I stayed at MEININGER Milan and was very disappointed with the service. I clearly informed the hostel in advance that I would arrive early, yet when I showed up, staff refused to let me check in or even assign a bed — even though other guests were allowed early entry.I understand standard check-in times, but good hospitality means showing flexibility when rooms or beds are ready. Instead, I had to wait for hours despite my early notice. For a place that promotes itself as “guest-friendly? lo...
I had to cancel because a strike that made me lost the train to Milano. They received my cancelation and I was charged all the price in my credit card!!!

The rooms are filthy, beds assigned on first come first served basis, the mixed rooms aren’t mixed at all, and they for sure ARENT lgbt+ friendly as they advertise. Cleaning isn’t daily, you have to ask for it. Located just across the train rails, so it’s VERY noisy since the trains go almost all the time even at night. Some people working there have no idea what they’re doing. Not worth the money at all. Don’t recommend especially for women or lgbt+ community.
Bed bugs and horrible treatment by the staff.
Not a hostel, it’s a hotel with shared rooms at best. Housekeeping was still cleaning after my 3:00pm check-in. First of dozens of places I stayed in that I couldn’t check-in early or leave my bags at no cost.
They asked money for keeping my suitcase. The elevator didn't work 2of the 4 days. A girl at the reception was always a bad mood
La peor experiencia que he tenido, además de lo caro que pagué! No solo la habitación sino la lavandería, el lugar huele terrible! Está lejos de todo, es cero todo, sumado a que el destino no es tampoco el mejor… El Staff amable, entiendo que no pueden hacer mucho es el lugar en lo que es terrible y caro! Mala experiencia, no lo recomiendo a nadie!
Not only the room but the laundry, the place smells terrible! it is far from everything, it is zero everything, plus the destination is not the best either... the friendly staff, I understand that they can't do much is the place where it is terrible and expensive! bad experience, I don't recommend it to anyone!

A really great hostel! There’s not a ton of storage in the lockers, but all of our stuff seemed safe. Very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. It is right next to train tracks which you can definitely hear, but we still got plenty of sleep.
We had a really great time here and met some amazing people. Staff were really helpful too. Great location as not far from the metro station.

El hostal casi ideal, solo por la ubicación a 20 minutos en transporte del Duomo. La atención excelente y la cocina completamente equipada y muy amplia. Solo falta un poco más de limpieza en el baño de las habitaciones y cocina. Gracias!
The hostel is almost ideal, just for the location 20 minutes by car from the Duomo. excellent service and fully equipped and very spacious kitchen. just a little more cleaning is missing in the bathroom of the bedrooms and kitchen. thank you!
The hostel room was clean and spacious, however with limited storage space for larger baggage. The staff were very friendly and helpful and let drop my luggage off early. Be mindful that you have to pay €6.50 to store the luggage via the bounce app.

O melhor hostel que eu fiquei até agora. Fiquei num quarto super organizado e limpo. Recomendo muiiiito esse hostel para quem quer enconomizar dinheiro, porque eles tem uma cozinha super bem equipada!
The best hostel I have stayed in so far. i stayed in a super organized and clean room. i highly recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to save money, because they have a super well equipped kitchen!

overall great stay, a little far from city center but that was expected.
The hostel itself is quite good but like with other big chains of hotel-hostel hybrids the type of people you run into is really mixed and not always great. I stayed with my girlfriend in a 4 bed mixed dorm so it was fine but the two other people staying there were middle aged men with no sense of boundaries and if my girlfriend were travelling alone like many women do,they would feel incredibly uneasy, it baffles me that there no age restriction but if you're 40+ you don't belong in a hostel!

Own bathroom in our room was great. It's a big hostel. Very clean which was amazing. Kind of in a weird spot, but close to the train stations.

Surprisingly affordable during the Olympics! Our room was very nice and everything was super clean. They let us store our bags since we were early to check-in and made it super easy to pick them up even though we weren’t back until after midnight. Since everyone who was staying there was there for the Olympics, the atmosphere was amazing! Highly recommend!
Meininger is a great chain of hostels. We stayed at a few while in Italy and we had no complaints. The Milano Garibaldi location was a quick 5 minute walk to the metro which made it easy to get around. The hostel was very secure and clean. The lockers in the room were small and could only fit a smaller backpack so if you don'r mind your clothes or suitcase being out in a shared room then thats no problem. I would stay here again.
The hostel is cleaned well and it’s a nice place overall. The four bed dorm layout is very odd; two twin beds next to each other and a bunk bed. There’s no curtains and it kind of seems more like a room meant for a family. Luckily I had good roommates who were happy to chat, so the awkwardness faded quickly. The lockers in the rooms are also quite small and don’t fit large bags. The location is also kind of far out from the central area - about a 1 hour walk or two different trams.

La habitacion y el lugar estaba muy muy bien, sin embargo, queda un poco lejos de las cosas importantes si llegan de noche es probable que tengas que tomar un taxi para llegar.
The accommodation and the location was very very good, however, it is a bit far from the important things if they arrive at night you will probably have to take a taxi to get there.
