   Nothing is the worst shit in all of Singapore. On top of that, they stole my money and Booking.com wasn't able to do anything to give me a refund. I arrived and left because it was unbearable to be there. It's inhumane, it smells bad, it has bugs and bacteria, and it's like being in a sewer. Not even animals deserve to be there.    I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The cleanliness was far below acceptable standards — the toilet had a strong odor, the bathroom doors were broken, the room was dirty, and there was visible mold. Safety was also a serious concern. The front and back doors were left open at all times, allowing anyone to enter the building freely. I had booked a private room for myself and my friends, but during the night, a stranger unlocked our door claiming that he was also staying there. There were no secure locks or padlocks for locker inside the room, and it felt like anyone know room passcode and could access our room. This made us feel very unsafe, especially as female travelers. Although the staff at check-in were polite and helpful, the reception was closed at night, and there was no one available to assist when problems arose. Overall, the hotel did not meet basic standards of hygiene or safety. I would strongly advise other travelers not to stay here until significant improvements are made.

   So dirty! Someone had layed in our bed before us so the sheats were dirty. The toilet and shower were also dirty. You could not lock the showers. Nonchalant staff. We felt unsafe and checked out after 30 minutes and still had to pay full price.

   FAKE REVIEWS! Campbell Inn. This place is surviving on fake 5 star reviews and photos from over 2 years ago. (The photo of the check-in booth isn't the real situation) Just please beware. Don't be that backpacker who books here because nothing else is available in Singapore for the night. Even then it's NOT worth it. BEDROOM NOT LIKE PHOTOS: MOLD ON ROOF. People coughing all night. I couldn't stand the idea of mold spores getting in my lungs too so I left at 5am. Read reviews on RATS getting in rooms. With video evidence. No rubbish bin. No shelves. I had no night light. Anyone can walk in Campbell Inn hostel and into your room, as nothing was ever closed locked. SHOWERS NOT LIKE PHOTOS: lots of tiny bugs crawling out of vents. No shower mount/holder, you have to hold it up and let it hang when putting on soap. No shelves for your stuff/soap. No hangers for towel or clothes. Tiniest shower cubicle. Dodgy doors. TOILETS: No sanitary bin. Water all over floor and seat. No shelves for sanitary items. WASHING MACHINE NOT LIKE PHOTOS: dried up wash powder & rust all over the machine. Looks like a good way to get your clothes dirty than clean. BAG STORAGE: No 'safe room' per say. This place would be shut down if the Singaporean authorities did an inspection.

   NOTHING good to mention- Not even worth the low price. For this standard, even if it's free I wouldn't choose to stay here again. This is honestly the worst hostel I've ever experienced, even worse than the one I stayed in during my visit to India a few years ago. • Environment: Extremely poor, dirty, and infested with cockroaches everywhere, including beside the bed, lockers, shower, and kitchen. Saw more than 20 cockroaches during my 2 night stay. I woke up to see cockroaches crawling on the wall, and saw 2 ran into my locker from the wall. • Facilities: - The room door had no lock, the staff seemed to insist that the door should be kept open all the time. When I first checked in, I thought it wasn't closed properly. However, when the staff realised that the door was closed (as it should be), they pushed it wide open and used a doorstop to keep it 24hrs open. The dorms on the first floor, except for one room that seemed to have a normally functioning door, were also kept open during my stay. - The overpowering AC made me cough when I was in the dorm, and I heard other guests coughing and complaining about catching a cold/headache due to the cold air. - Shaky bunk bed-even the slightest movement could make it shake, which you can imagine was miserable in the freezing cold room with people constantly coughing. • Staff: Initially seemed okay but were actually rude and disrespectful. During my stay, they randomly entered the room several times. On my checkout day, they placed a new mattress on my bed even before I checked out. When I raised questions based on the confirmation email I received, the lady at the front desk was unable to assist and said I was wasting her time. Finally, I recommend this hostel to anyone interested in cockroach spotting challenge :) For other travelers, if you must try it, my suggestion is not to book more than 1 night. If you are expecting accommodations that fit the price and meet normal standards, you can find much better options in Chinatown. My stay in Chinatown had modernised facilities, clean rooms (no cockroaches), normal AC, doors that could close properly with locks, sturdy bunk beds with clean mattresses & quilts. The common areas were tidy as well.

   Unprofessional management. I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. I booked a dorm for three people and checked in at 3 PM. Everything seemed fine until we returned from dinner, only to find a stranger sleeping on one of our assigned beds. The man explained that the receptionist had assigned him the bed, even though it was clearly ours. To make matters worse, the receptionist was nowhere to be found at the counter and did not respond to WhatsApp messages. After hours of trying to contact him, he finally picked up and asked the man to move to another dorm. This wasn’t an isolated issue. Another guest who booked two beds was told during check-in that only one bed was available, and the hotel refused to refund them because the booking was made through Agoda. The lack of proper management, poor communication, and mishandling of bookings made this a very frustrating experience. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless significant improvements are made.

   the beds were dirty, had marks and hairs on as if they hadn’t been changed since the last person who used it. people in the rooms talking loudly at 6am and turning the lights on in the night whilst others are trying to sleep. the door locks don’t work so anyone can enter the room whenever. felt very uncomfortable as a solo female traveller here. the other guests did not speak english and just stared at me and i felt quite intimidated.

   Hostel itself is decent but I would avoid if you are female, especially solo female travellers!!!! Mainly due to the location and the other hostel users… you will get stared at and harassed. I’ve never felt so unsafe in a hostel before. Men constantly asking to take photos with me and even videoing me in secret. The rooms and bathrooms here should not be mixed!

   STAY AT Capsules@HiveBugis instead. We moved there after our 4 night stay here and it’s ten times better and often a similar price. Summary: Doors are not locked - back door which opens into an alleyway is left open most of the time we were there whilst our bedroom door didn’t lock. Toilets are not cleaned regularly and they are always out of toilet roll. Showers are too small and uncomfortable. Beds are just about okay but noisy and the top bunks have no curtains. Barely passable as a place to stay. We also emailed ahead for our late arrival which was confirmed by the hostel. Only for us to arrive with no one there to check us in. Once we got in the place is pretty run down. The customers this place attracts are all very weird. No one talks, it’s not sociable at all and no one seems to care about waking you up / having phone calls in the bedroom / turning the lights on in the middle of the night. While this isn’t the hostels fault, I feel it’s important for any solo travellers to know that this is not a comfortable place to be or leave your belongings. None of the doors are locked. In fact both the front and back door which opens to an alleyway are often left open for most of the day. The only reason to stay is that it’s located in Little India which is a gorgeous place for affordable food. My recommendation is that you only stay here if you need to save every penny you have.

    The worst hostel ever, I know its very cheap for Singapore. But there is no hospitality here. During my stay, there was a bed bug on someone bed and when that clicked a photo of that bug. A staff member saw this and started shouting on the guy. He almost punched him.

    Horrible place. Dirty place. Wrong pictures. Agoda doesn't post negative comment for them. I had police complaint against staff. My husband is Sr citizen and was threatened and abused. Just for asking lower bed which was promised by the property. At very moment they asked us to leave. Me and my husband had to take luggage and leave withing 5 mins. We were with no bookings and nobody was help. Police says it's tourism department has to look into it police cannot do anything. Will never recommend plz I hope this get posted. I'm trying to post in agoda but it's not happening plz help. Plz plz I request all. They treated us so horribly since the staff had issues with Indians. . My Husband is Dr and 70 years. Was very polite while asking him to give us lower bed but he was so bad abusive. Would not recommend. Horrible tourism management by govt where tourists are not priority. We cannot even make a complaint for it.

    They will request for your card details when booking . They will deduct money from your card and will still take cash upon arrival and they will never refund the money they deducted on your card . This is scam

    All the reviews are true. My booking was cancelled by them while I was standing at the reception. Additionally, when I booked online, I paid three times the price for an immediate booking. It seemed so intentional. For a place of lower quality or the same type of disappointment. There are better hostels and other accommodations in Geylang. Please check them on Google, Booking, Klook, and other booking platforms. Discovering these places might be tricky. This place is definitely not worth it unless you have no other choice.
