I was not personally the one affected, but I was present during the stay and can confirm that the experience was very concerning. One member of our group woke up with numerous bites clearly consistent with bed bugs, which is extremely alarming. The situation was taken very seriously on our end, especially since this was not her first experience with this issue. What was even more disappointing was how the situation was handled by the establishment. No real satisfactory solution was offered, aside from changing rooms, which did not feel safe given the circumstances. We therefore decided to leave after only one night, despite having booked multiple nights. The lack of professionalism in their response to customer reviews is also worrying. Questioning guests’ credibility instead of addressing the issue responsibly does not inspire confidence. I would advise future travelers to be cautious and to carefully consider recent reviews before booking here.

Hi, I would like to clarify my experience following the property’s response. After just one night in the dormitory, I woke up with multiple bites on my legs, ankles, thighs, and back that appeared overnight. This was the only place during my trip where I experienced such bites. After leaving, I had no new bites, suggesting the issue was related to the bed I slept in. The staff inspected the bed in front of me but found no visible evidence. However, bed bugs are notoriously difficult to detect, and not everyone reacts to bites, so the absence of evidence does not rule out the possibility. They offered to move me to another dorm, but I declined after seeing several reviews mentioning bed bug issues in other rooms, which made me feel unsafe staying. This situation caused significant stress, and I had to leave immediately and book alternative accommodation at my own expense. I continued to experience intense itching for days, and marks from the bites are still visible. I share this experience to inform future travellers so they can make an informed decision. I hope the hostel takes this seriously to prevent future guests from having the same experience.

Let's start with the good -currently no bed bugs in the two dorms I stayed in -nice rooftop with beautiful view -the staff is SO KIND -breakfast was nice (cereal, corneto, tea coffee, ham cheese and bread) -it was comfortable enough that I extended my stay a couple days when I met nice people who I wanted to keep hanging out with The bad -the dorms very in quality a lot. They are all quite different from eachother and I’m not sure you can pay for a better one necessarily -creepy men stay at this hostel. there is currently an old man living in the mixed dorms. He is very mean and clearly unhappy in his situation. Several of us switched rooms to avoid him. -another creepy 70 year old man was following young girls around, and persisted after they asked him to stop. I had to escalate the situation quite a lot to have him removed -there is very little near by. I definitely got my steps in at this hostel cuz walking to and from town so much

Stayed in a private double room which ended up being a room with two bunk beds put next to each other (unlike the images) and the room also had a funky smell and the air-conditioning in our room did not work. Saw a lot of reviews about bed bugs but we didn't encounter any during our stay. The breakfast way included with the stay and it was alright. The location away from Sorrento might become an issue if you don't rent a bike to get into town (or are happy getting the bus/train in each time you want to visit). I can't really recommend this place unless you are on a strict budget.

BED BUGS. Edit: woke up this morning with bites all over my legs and I could see black stuff on the bed. After seeing the other reviews was a major concern, I checked the mattress when I got here and couldn't see anything, and I didn't seem to get any bites the first night but apparently they can take time to appear. I've travelled globally and this is my first bed bug experience. 😭 Everyone I implore you to read their replies to the bad reviews and ask yourself is this the kind of place you want to stay or the people you want to deal with. They call you crazy and a liar. That is not normal. They do not address the 12 beds in a room advertised as 10, because it does not suit them. They say the air conditioning was working....there was literally a red error message on the machine, no assistance was offered. The 1 star review is left because there is nothing else to be done....the staff will not listen, help or engage. I was in the room Serenity and bed number 7, it was the 10 bed female dorm ensuite. Also the room was sold as 10 beds, but they were super generous and shoved another 2 beds in there! So 12 in a room advertised as 10. 🙃 The air conditioning stopped working on my second night and I found it hard to sleep (I thought one of the other girls turned it off). I reported it on the third night and he said it's broken and that's it. I asked about any fans and he said no. I asked about any discounts and he said no, they don't advertise AC (they also did advertise only 10 beds but okay). The whole encounter which was just so damn rude, it was the guy on crutches. He was probably ignorant to the wrong person and that's how he got them in the first place.... But yeah he didn't listen, he didn't care, and he didn't engage. He just stopped answering me and turned away..... There was another girl there from a different room so it's obviously a building wide issue. Anyway they don't provide towels, they offer to sell you like a scarf for €6, which is wild?? I declined. Like not being able to get a towel somewhere is insane, I've literally never come across this anywhere ever. Anyway breakfast also laughably bad, I saw they came for someone else who said this but guys trust me, it really is super grim. It's literally like a bowl of that tinned fruit salad, like 2 cereals, 2 weird prepackaged items, a watery substance advertised as orange juice, and some coffee. They did have a croissant which tasted like the oven ones you buy in Aldi, that was salvagable to grab and go. There's no fridge or kitchen so without the AC you're gonna need to try keep cool with your room temp water babes 🥲 Showers were okay to be fair, a bit of a smell in the drain every now and then, but clean and pressure/temperature was fine. the no toilet seat thing was fine, I'm kinda used to it now as it really is the standard here for some reason. Oh and I asked someone else on reception about the bus stop nearby and I am fairly confident he gave me wrong information so probably just stick to whatever Google says. Overall, it's such a shame there is nowhere else affordable and also that crutches guy was the absolute worst and he needs to do one immediately.

As honest of a review you’re gonna get from someone who goes into hostels with low expectations. I’ll start with the positives. The rooftop terrace had astonishing views with a bar and selected foods available. Great to watch the sunset and chill out. It was about a 10-15 min walk to the nearest station which you can catch into Sorrento otherwise it’s a 30-40 min walk into the city. The included breakfast was convenient but had a very limited range of options, nothing to complain about however. Now onto the more negative aspects. After reading reviews before I arrived, I had worries about a possible bed bug issue. This turned out to be unfortunately very much true. Woke up with a few bites after the first night and blamed in on mosquitoes for my own good however, more turned up after the second and third night until I found one in my bedding. Very much alive and full. For a cheap hostel in such a grand location you can’t expect much but you should be able to expect basic hygienic standards for any accommodation. The last thing I’ll say is that the bathrooms although were clean and had hot water in the showers, no paper towel or air dryer was available to dry your hands, and the sinks frequently were clogged. Wouldn’t recommend until they sort their bed bug issue out.

DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU WANT BED BUGS Yes, the reviews are true - and they’re still in denial! Four people checked out of our room the same night. When the first two people raised the concern, the receptionist said: “Yes we know, unfortunately it’s quite common”. After requesting a refund due to a serious health hazard, they denied everything and took no responsibility! Now they won’t even answer my emails. Shocking, wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. It’s cheap - but that’s the price you pay for. Better off spending the extra money and not being infected by bed bugs and ruining your Euro Summer.

You get what you pay for. Air conditioning did not work, paid for a room with 10 girl, got a room with 12 girls and no lock boxes. No privacy in rooms either. Showers were see through , and I never once saw anyone clean anything (staff). Staff were also not helpful at all. A girl left our room because of bed bugs, and my sister and I found bed bug bites on us both after we had left.

  9. Confirmado Google Maps

Rooms were pretty standard except for the fact that a lot of them have BEDBUGS. The owners will say that there are no bedbugs but all the other reviews confirm there are bedbugs and I have been bitten. There is no shower/toilet in the room and you often have to travel quite far to get to them. The shower doors are completely see through and the toilets have no seats. I will say the staff are nice, the rooftop has a cool vibe and the breakfast is an added bonus, but I would not recommended staying here unless you want bedbugs.

  10. Confirmado Google Maps

They have bed bugs. I went with 3 other friends and after taking off my sheets I saw a massive bug in the sheet… All my friends were bitten. Rooms are below average and the bathroom is the worst in any hostel I’ve seen. You can literally see through the shower windows, the floor is constantly wet and the toilets have no seats! The location isn’t even in Sorrento either, you have to catch a train. Wouldn’t recommend for people who can afford otherwise.

[Bedbugs] We wanted to stay here as a couple because it was cheap, but I wouldn't recommend it at all. We stayed last night, and we've been itching for 24 hours now. Our entire body is swollen from bedbug bites, and we're still itching like crazy. I'm not sure how it'll go away. I'm sorry, but even though it's cheap, it's hard to bear these bites. Breakfast includes a variety of items: croissants, bread, cheese, salami, drinks, and small items.

  12. Confirmado Google Maps

I think the hostel has a very good price- quality relationship. You have a breakfast include, you have a station nearby (5 min walking) where you can go to sorrento station, pompei, napoli, etc. I heard rumours about bedbugs, but I stayed 4 nights and all was fine, even my rommates didn’t complain, so I guess is just bad lucky with some beds. Also the reception sell water very cheaply, and the food in the night is ok, but the view in the rooftop was incredible. In resume, for the price that you pay you can’t ask for more.

  13. Confirmado Google Maps

Don’t go there unless you want bed bugs! The staff does nothing about it and act like the problem is solved.

Don’t even know where to begin with this place, first of all it was just filthy. The blanket they gave me stank and was stained, bathroom lock didn’t work, no toilet seats, shower doors were practically see through and aircon was turned off between 6am-10am meaning the rooms were unbearably hot. Second of all we had a girl moved into our room due to bed bugs, the room in question was actually next door to us and the girls have several photos to prove this. As you can see from the many other reviews this is not the first time they have had this issue, there was also many other people checking out early due to the same reason. Owner is very angry and impolite, screamed in my face on numerous occasions and even threatened to call the police all because she was wrong. Their policy clearly states on the confirmation email that WITHIN 7 DAYS OF ARRIVAL if you are not happy with your stay you are entitled to a refund, the owner is either blind or did not understand as she even called a translator just be proved wrong immediately (embarrassing) After half hour of arguing our case she reluctantly gave us a partial refund, but this doesn’t take away from the fact she was just nasty and patronising. If you’re staying in this hostel make sure to show her your email and get your refund guys 😘😘😘😘

BED BUGS BED BUGS Where to start… bed bugs in every room! Over 25 other travellers including me switched rooms and got destroyed… the staff were beyond rude, called us all liars, didn’t refund and replied to our concerns in the hostel group chat calling us all liars and saying it’s our fault and all 25 of us brought the bedbugs… they were swearing and yelling at us in the lobby.. photos below. Most unprofessional responses and extremely rude and dismissive.. Photos below

I stayed here as a teacher leading a school group - we teachers had single rooms while the students (40 of them) stayed in the dormitories. We were quite nervous about staying here after reading some of the reviews but our fears were groundless: the hotel is clean, the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly and there were no bed bugs. The food is basic in the extreme but edible and very cheap. The communal men's bathroom for the dormitories (the single rooms have ensuites and so does the dormitory the girls slept in) no longer have transparent shower cubicle doors and while the toilets have no seats this is normal for public toilets in Italy. The toilets in the ensuites have seats and so do the toilets in the lobby. It's about a forty minute walk from Sorrento town centre but the walk is quite a scenic one. If you were booking a holiday on a limited budget this would be a good choice.

I recently stayed at Seven Hostel Sorrento for three nights, and it was an amazing experience! The place is super clean, well-maintained, and the atmosphere is perfect for travelers looking to relax and socialize.💙💙💙 One of the things I appreciated the most was the impeccable cleanliness—the rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were spotless, and there were absolutely no bedbugs (which is a huge plus when staying in hostels!). The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to give recommendations about Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. The rooftop terrace is a fantastic spot to enjoy a drink while admiring the breathtaking views. Location-wise, it's a short walk from the train station, making it super convenient for exploring Sorrento, Pompeii, and the surrounding areas. Plus, the atmosphere is lively but not too noisy, so you can enjoy both socializing and a good night's sleep. I highly recommend Seven Hostel Sorrento—whether you're a solo traveler or with friends, it's the perfect place to stay!!!!

Bedbugs in at least 3 rooms As many reviews say, this hostel definitely has bedbugs in most and probably all rooms. This issue is already there for months watching the reviews, and they just always respond with bullshit responses that they are doing everything against it (they don't, they say you have brought it in). Additionally, they just send new people to the room I just found bedbugs in moments earlier. And they say they clean the bags from every traveler. First of all, they don't. And secondly, the hostel is already infested with bed bugs, and the travelers are certainly not the issue. No refunds given, service is horrible.

Not a boutique hostel at all. First the room was not as advertised on the website, instead we were in a white room with black metal bunk beds (picture attached). The bunk beds don’t even have barriers on one side so you could even fall out the other side (picture attached). The wood underneath the mattress on the bunks nearly snapped through and broke whilst someone was underneath. Additionally our door would not lock so anyone could walk into our dorm at any time. We were in the sunflower dorm. No one’s air conditioning worked so every room was like an oven and very humid. Friends in other dorms, believe it or not like all the reviews, had bedbugs in their room which we can’t have brought in as we had very clean bags. Clearly a hotel issue! The toilets didn’t have a toilet seat on as well as see through glass for the showers but the boys and girls are separated, but someone could watch you. Lastly, it is good you do get breakfast included, but your options are: croissants, cereal, and bread which was as hard as bricks to eat. The roof downstairs leaks when it rains. I know this isn’t 5 star accommodation but for the price it could have been a lot better. Overall complete disaster. Do not visit. EDIT: Just another copy and pasted response from the hostel here, just saying that the problem of the bed bugs doesn’t exist, which is not what all the other reviews say. The hostel did not clean anyone’s bags like they claim they do, so clearly proves the hostel is lying just to sound better. They didn’t even respond to any of the other problems as because they know they have lied on the website. Still surprised that they could get so many good pictures of the place for the website. Trust me, if you stay here, you will get bitten by bedbugs.

BED BUGS!!! Also no toilet seats. I was in the sunshine room and 3 of us got bed bugs. The staff told us it was our fault even though it was our first night on holiday. Avoid like the plague!

I'm sorry to write this review but I would have liked to read it before booking to save myself some time. There are definitely BEDBUGS at least in two of the 12 bed rooms. I was going to stay 2 nights but upon arrival I found an adult one under my mattress. I picked it up and brought it to reception. They offered me a change of room, the staff was helpful and kind all the time which helped the situation. In the new room I found three of them dead and one half alive under two mattresses next to mine. I then decided to leave as I'm allergic to their bite and get terrible hives, to me it's not an option to deal with them. They were helpful again, giving me back my money and helping me find a new place. I'm really grateful for this. However, even if we know this is a global problem in the accommodation industry these days, I believe stern action must be taken. Maybe the hostel is too big and too many people come and go, making thorough upkeep a difficult task. Maybe certain bed frames are prone to gather dirt and bugs. I'm no expert but I believe that all parts should do their utmost to revert this situation, it can really ruin your holiday and the aftermath is also annoying Good luck with it.

agree with all of the reviews about bedbugs and dirtiness. also i went here like 5 days ago and they did NOT spray my bag or anything like that. mouldy bathrooms, dirty mattresses and bed bugs. really bad conditions. their responses on google speak for themselves - they are rude and won’t deal with the problems and shut down to deal with the infestation of bed bugs.. EDIT: they responded to me.. i checked out 2 days early and had to change my flight because the conditions were so bad, and I knew complaining wasn’t worth it because I had been told by other people how one girl that stayed (which is also in the reviews mind you) and had bed bugs, and complained only got her bed sprayed and nothing really changed so she left..

Please read: bedbugs and false advertising! Upon arrival, our room and the common areas looked nothing like what was advertised. The room we got had no dividers/curtains, no reading light, or outlet beside the bed. It was just a bare white room with black metal bunk beds (not at all the room shown online ). The bathrooms were dirty with clogged toilets, no toilet paper, and see through showers. We were planning to make the best of it and stay until we found a bedbug on the pillow and stains on the mattress from old bedbugs! When we confronted the management, they were extremely rude, gaslight us by saying it was not a bed bug, then changing their mind saying we must have brought it, as they’ve “never had this problem before.” Which is clearly untrue after reading other reviews. They obviously have a huge bed bug infestation. Their suggestion was to just switch rooms, however we are glad we didn’t after reading other reviews. It seems we are not the only ones who have dealt with this. We ended up leaving and staying somewhere else. We highly suggest other people do not stay here due to the state of the hostel and the rude and disrespectful management. We have stayed in many hostels, and this was by far the worst.

I was at this hostel a few weeks ago and it was horrible! First the sanitary rooms were really dirty and the biggest bummer was that there were bed bugs in my bed I told the staff but they only gave me new sheets, which wasn't enough to fight those things! My body was covered with bites at the end of my stay! Don't listen to all those good reviews, they give you a free drink at the bar for one. It's all fake!

  25. Confirmado Google Maps

I do not recommend staying at this hostel at all! The first bed they gave me was infested with bed bugs and when they gave me a different bed, they only gave me new sheets so the bed bugs just came along because they already got into my clothes/backpack etc. from the previous bed. I got the feeling that they have a really big bed bug problem, but won’t admit to it (as you can see in so many comment reactions on google). When I got home my whole upper body was covered in bites and my stuff was also infected by the bugs. Also we got no refund or anything :( and they are gaslighting all the people who are complaining about the parasites. To critical reviews (like this one) they always reply with how many good reviews they have, but in reality they buy most of the good reviews. There are signs everywhere in the hostel, which say that you get a free drink if you write a positive review! It’s just awful!

  26. Confirmado Google Maps

Bed bug infestation is out of control (and as you can see in the replies, guests are blamed). Spraying our luggage is a theatrical gesture because the problem is so established. The place was unclean. Added bonus of see through showers although separate women’s and men’s. Toilets without seats, unacceptably low standards even for cheap stays. We left after one night. Please listen to the feedback and take action.

  27. Confirmado Google Maps

We had to change rooms after the first night because of cockroaches (From Sun to Sea). After the third night one of us noticed signs of bed bugs and we told the staff, who did not react appropriately. We had to stay in the bed bugs bed and after leaving the hostel the whole upper body was infected (arms, breast, back, face). In retrospect the staff was not helpful, did not know what to do at all and even denied the fact of there being bed bugs at the new room. They just did not take any responsibility. All in all we are really disappointed and one of us even had to got to the hospital because of an allergic reaction to the bites. (The photos were shot one week later after they were already in the process of healing)

NEVER STAY HERE!!! Myself and friends stayed here in June for 3 nights and had an awful experience! Bed bugs crawling all over our beds and in the corners of the room. We only noticed them at around midnight when we were trying to go to sleep. Thought it was only one bed at first but eventually majority of our 12 man dorm found them too. Everyone was obviously disgusted and did not want to sleep there but staff were not helpful and lady at reception tried to claim that the videos we had taken of bugs crawling in our beds was edited!!! Due to most of the other rooms being booked up they were only able to offer myself and another girl a bed in a female dorm but no where for the boys to stay. They ended up being offered the downstairs bar area to sleep in where they were awoken at 7am the next morning with blasting music from the speakers. Some of the sleeping arrangements of other guests in our room were crazy, one guy literally pushed 3 tables together and that’s what he slept on all night. Either that or get eaten alive by bed bugs. The hostel were not prepared to give us any kind of refund, even though we desperately wanted to leave and were hoping they would reimburse the nights we had not yet stayed. The most they would offer us was a refund for the first night and a change of room. They moved us into a room on the top floor for the next 2 nights but it was only meant for 5 people and there was 7 of us so you can imagine it was quite cramped. The worst part was they 100% knew about the bed bug situation before we arrived and did nothing about it. The solution they first offered us was a change of bed sheets which obviously would not help as the bugs were crawling up the walls and in the mattress. Also don’t be fooled by them ‘sanitising’ your bag when you first arrive, what they actually spray on your bag is bug repellent. I wouldn’t be surprised if they took bookings from people after we moved out of the room and placed them in the same infested beds. As well as the bed bug situation the standard of cleaning in the girls bathrooms was appalling. The showers were flooded, toilet paper and sanitary products all over the ground, and toilets had no seat. Half the time they don’t even bother placing toilet roll in the actual stalls, just set it beside the sink and you have to grab it on your way in. Hostel is also far from main town and surrounding roads are not safe to walk on as a lot of the time there is not a proper footpath. Will never be back at this hostel and will never recommend it to anyone!

You get what you pay. I was worried about bed bugs from the previous reply but I didn’t deal with that. The rooms were fine and they have a/c and heat units to keep the room a good temp. The bathrooms could definitely be improved. None of the toilets had toilet seats, and most of the showers seemed not well kept for. It’s not super close to everything but also not terribly far from the train station. I’d also like to add that you don’t get a blanket when you check in. You get two white sheets and a pillow case, but a blanket is 5 euros which is kind of annoying, but then again, it’s cheap.

The worst experience of my life. My friend had booked 5 nights and wanted to extend one more night, but I they say they didn't have space and couldn't help us. We asked for a moment to explore the area and see if we could find something nearby just to spend the last night. They refused to let us leave the establishment. When we left, they arbitrarily and illegally charged the difference that had to be paid. We complained and they said it was Hostelworld’s fault. Then she offered us a private room for four people that cost almost three times as much. We went up to the shared room and saw that my supposed bed was occupied. I complained and they changed my bed. When I returned in the evening, my bed was occupied again. At reception they told us that someone entered the room without authorization and that this is normal. Finally, after waiting an hour, they changed our room. The shared bathrooms are always dirty. The shower doors are transparent. On the fifth day they asked us to check out, leave our things in an unsafe place where the washing machine was and enter the new room in the afternoon. Of course, they didn't consider the lost time that all this involved. The supposedly private room smelled horrible, musty, the bathrooms, although private, are old and incomplete. The beds were full of bed bugs. It was a scam for what we paid.

I would like to start by saying, I will only be staying explicit experiences from our stay. Everything included is the truth, plain and simple. This hostel has some fantastic potential. The people who stay here are incredibly kind and very social - so the social atmosphere of the hostel itself is great. The building is also really cool and the neighborhood in Sant’Agnello is really great to explore. Upon our original check in, the concierge was helpful and showed us to our room. On the other side of things, there is a lot this hostel can improve on. Cleanliness would be the main improvement. The bathrooms were quite dirty. During the first night of our stay, we were bitten by bedbugs. Under the mattresses are extremely dirty. After this, we decided to leave the hostel and not stay for the second night we had booked. We spoke with the concierge, who informed us he could not refund any of our booking. This is somewhat understandable, I get that places don’t have a lot of flexibility on their refund policy, but given our experience this was really unfortunate. Additionally, writing this review is a little intimidating due to how the owner has responded to past reviews. I am simply attempting to document my experience and share how my stay went. Granted, the hostel overall has great potential, but definitely needs some cleaning and extermination.

While the building of 7-Hostel was undeniably cool, with a fantastic rooftop deck and a stunning view of beautiful Sorrento, our stay was a complete nightmare. Bed bugs infested our room, making it impossible to sleep. What's worse is that when we asked for a refund for both nights including the night we didnt sleep there due to the bed bugs, they heartlessly denied our request. The aesthetics may have been pleasing, but the bed bug situation and the lack of refund options made our experience anything but enjoyable.

Do not recommend. Aggressive staff and bed bugs. The staff scream in your face if you have a bottle of water in your bag at the bar. Extremely disrespectful and shouldn't be running a business.

DO NOT STAY THERE. There are numerous reviews mentioning bedbug issues here. The staffs only repeat "we're doing all sanitory works to remove bedbugs everyday", but it seems they even rarely do the basic cleaning of the rooms. All you can get after bedbug bitten is just another bedbug dwelling bed in an extremely dirty room, no refund at all.

DON'T GO TO THIS HOSTEL. First of all it is not in sorrento as they say, it is in Sant'Agnello which is a 40 minute walk from the center of sorrento. Secondly, and more importantly, there were bed bugs in my room. Two women came across them the first day I arrived, told me and left the hostel. I had nowhere to go and asked them to clean the room and change the sheets. Two days later a group of Americans and I found bed bugs on our sheets again, we also had bites on our legs and back and the beds and sheets had blood stains on them. One of them even killed one and left a blood stain on the wall. They also left the hostel and I asked to change rooms. They changed me but the next day, at noon, while I was in another town, they sent me an aggressive email saying that my bed was going to be occupied and that if I didn't take my clothes out they would take them out, they never asked nicely. With the room that was infected they did nothing and it was occupied with new guests. The last day I wanted to go to the bathroom and I politely asked a cleaning lady if I could close the door to go to the bathroom and she aggressively told me to leave the bathroom immediately because they were cleaning it, which there was no sign of, and continued to treat me badly. The men's room was always dirty since I arrived, the floor and countertops were always flooded and full of toilet paper. There was no clean place to put your things before showering. There were also no paper towels to dry your hands so people dried themselves with toilet paper and it was left lying around. A guy who slept in my room complained several times to the owner about the bathroom and he replied that it was our problem because of how we used it, without even checking the conditions of the bathroom and saying that this was the cleanest hostel in the world. The owner never cared or assumed it was his responsibility to fix the problems and blamed the guests. He never apologized for the problems caused or offered anything to improve the stay. Except for the young receptionists who were friendly, the owner, an older receptionist and a cleaning lady were disrespectful, aggressive and not interested in solving the problems. If you want to enjoy your vacation don't go to this hostel.

BED BUGS! Upon entrance to this hostel a very frustrated lady said to reception she was up all night with little bugs crawling on her bed and woke up covered in bites. We dismissed this as we had already booked and hoped for the best. Firstly they came into my room and sprayed all the beds leaving me alone, then made me move beds to the freshly sprayed bed. The next day I woke up completely covered head to toe in bed bug bites, hundreds on my back and all over my arms and legs. How can a hostel keep you in a room with known bed bugs, and then make you move to a bed they just “cleaned” within that room! My whole body is inflamed and i am now struggling to clean my clothes and bags. Besides this, the bathrooms are disgusting- Some of the worst I have seen. This hostel needs better cleaning standards!!!

🚨Beware Bedbugs 🚨. This can happen anywhere and I understand that. However, Seven Hostel handled this very poorly to the point that we had to cut our stay short and leave and they refused any kind of refund. The photos I’ve posted of the bites don’t show the full gravity of the situation. Beyond the bed bugs fiasco, this place has horrible customer service. The AC in our room didn’t work properly, and they said it could be due to the window being open, but the window itself was broken. Other random issues like no toilet paper or soap in the bathrooms raise concerns both about covid and about general lack of hospitality. Free breakfast was appreciated, but very minimal. I will say the bar and restaurant had a lovely view and great prices (though bad quality). UPDATE AUG 6: Seven Hostel has continued to refuse any kind of refund or apology.

I stayed at this hostel with a friend for three nights. The first night I woke up to a couple of bed bugs. I went down to tell the staff and they did not understand me. I tried to explain but they said there were no free beds and there was nothing they can do except provide me with new sheets. Second night was fine. Final night I woke up to three large bugs in my bed and the get in the bed next to me had urinated all over the floor and passed out in his bed. I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of staying here NOT TO. The beds are bug infested, the bathrooms are dirty and constantly out of toilet paper, it’s hot, and the staff are no help what so ever. DO NOT STAY HERE

During the morning of check out, cleaned out my bunk to find a bug on the bed. Turned out to be a tick. Went to the front desk to check out and tell the girl what I found, showed her a picture. All she did was nervously and awkwardly giggle in my face. She said it wasn’t a bed bug and I told her I didn’t care what kind of bug it was, I shouldn’t be sleeping with any kinds of bugs. She then giggled a little more and replied with “thank you for the advice.” Confused if she thought it was a joke, or something? I definitely wouldn’t sleep with any of the colored blankets provided in the rooms because the tick probably came from that. It doesn’t seem like they wash those blankets. I had some other friends also have bad experiences with speculation of bugs. One woke up with a bunch of random bug bites and another’s sheets were filled with tiny dead bugs. Gross. Other than that, the hostel itself is modern and somewhat clean, I guess. The breakfast kinda sucks unless you enjoy loading up on croissants and other empty carbs first thing in the morning.
