Pire expérience d’hébergement de notre voyage en famille. Chambre malpropre (déchets, mouchoirs souillés dans le lit) et punaises de lits. Sommes partis dès le lendemain.

I only stayed one night and got badly bitten all over my body by bed bugs. Countless itchy bumps and allergic rashes appeared afterwards, forcing me to buy special anti-itch prescription cream locally for treatment. The hostel had obvious long-term hygiene problems with bed bugs. The management finally agreed to fully refund my room charge after I reported the issue.

I was eaten alive by bed bugs. I couldn’t sleep all night and had to change my room early in the morning. As compensation, the reception only allowed me a late check-out. The most surprising part is that they already knew about this problem.

I recently stayed at Jo and Joe in paris(Gentilly), worst accommodation experience of my life. The advertised air conditioning in the booking had given out before my arrival which made the rooms like an oven. I also woke up multiple mornings with bites and rashes over my body, then on the last night I caught a live bedbug before going to bed. Won’t be returning, save your money and sanity by booking elsewhere.

The vibes were great at the hostel with a positive atmosphere however, the cleanliness of the rooms needs to be taken more seriously ASAP. My whole body was absolutely covered in bed bugs after just one night at this hostel. This had a significant impact upon my travels as I was woken several times during the night to itchy and irritated bite marks. I also needed to seek treatment from a local pharmacy and all my clothing items are now contaminated.

A bit far from anything but it’s close to the train station. Private room is just some plywood out up between other people so you can still hear others snore and cough. The staff were not friendly nor not friendly. Just direct and straight to the point. The room is sweltering hot even if you turn the thermostat down and worst part is this is the only hostel I got bed bugs on from my whole time backpacking Europe.

Check in was meant to be at 3pm but the room wasn’t ready until 4pm and we were exhausted from travelling. There was no apology or compensation. When we got into the room I checked the beds and found bed bugs. We asked for a refund so we could stay somewhere else as they are very easily spread but they wouldn’t give us a refund and just gave us another room which had signs of bedbugs as well. Our room had aircon but it didn’t work and the room was an absolute hot box even on an 18 degree day. The shared kitchen was also a mess. Everyday we walked past there were dishes piled up in the sink with no one around and the counter was covered in sauce and stains. We have stayed in many low budget hostels and haven’t found anything worth complaining about but this was by far the worst customer service and facilities we’ve seen so far especially for over $60 AUD a night, would not recommend.

the private box that i booked was terrible- tiniest space you could imagine where i couldn’t even open my suitcase, no air, no ventilation, no shelves or cupboards, no ac, nothing. It was impossible to sleep at night with a closed door, so it had to stay open, which is something you shouldn’t have to do when you book a “private” cabin. Oh and calling it a cabin is an overstatement- it’s a private wooden box. But folks living in the shared rooms complained about bedbugs, (people from several different rooms). The beds are wooden, so i guess it’s an ongoing problem there:/

OVERCHARGED PAIEMENT ! on m'a surfacturé, on ne m'a pas donné le type de chambre demandé et celle où l'on m'a mis était infestée de punaises de lit ! sur Trip advisors deja en 2024 des gens se plaignaient. l'hôtel sait qu'il est infesté et il ne font rien. ne répondent pas aux demandes de remboursement. jai déjà écrit à la mairie de Gentilly pour demander que les services d'hygiène viennent leur coller une fermeture administrative à ce taudis immonde

There were bedbugs in every bed in the room I booked, room 614. They only recomped our room for one night despite having bed bugs for both nights that we stayed. You MUST report the day that you find evidence of bed bugs to get your money back. I would never ever recommend this place. Multiple other people reported bedbugs as we checked out as well. DO NOT STAY HERE.

i wouldn’t come here again, the kitchen was a joke, filthy and almost no utensils, no stovetop, and boiling hot on the top floor. we booked the single bed cabins, and when we checked in i was given the key to a cabin that was already occupied, they had to change everything again which was apparently very difficult. some of the staff were very nice but others seemed upset that they had to talk to you at all. the rooms were so hot. overheard complaints of bedbugs from some girls on another floor…

房间有bed bug和卫生问题 酒店吹风机是通过押护照的方式借用的 整个酒店就两个吹风机 完全不够用 这边非常的不好 虽然平台有显示设施有空调 但是入住以后发现完全没有 住宿非常的痛苦 体验感非常的差 公共卫生间感觉我入住的这几天也完全没有打扫过，垃圾桶也没有清理过，从来没有见到过清洁工出现 预定信息显示我交111欧元 但是结账发现要交116欧元

Just wanted to leave a review to let people know there was bed bugs! I work up with 20 bites :( the hostel staff was so nice and helpful about it though, changed my rooms immediately and gave me free laundry and towels and were super apologetic. Not the hostels fault but just wanted to warn others in case they were thinking of staying there right now!

The hotel was disappointing. There were bed bugs in the room, and it clearly did not get cleaned regularly. On top of that, the location was far away from everything, making it very inconvenient. I would not stay here again.

Bed was uncomfortable and there were noises during night. The cabin gets really hot during night, I can't imagine how it could be during summer. No soundproofing, you hear everything of your roommates. Cabin was dirty as well as bathrooms. Fortunately, there weren't bed bugs.

I stayed in one of the capsules and got bitten by bed bugs. Pretty horrible experience.

Desd la primera noche tuvimos problemas con las chinches o bedbugs, y la respuesta de hostelworld fue aue ellos no podian hacer nada. Y la respuesta de el hostal fue hasta la segunda noche donde ya con pruebas fisicas se lo demostramos

The hostel looks good at first glance and even offers a decent breakfast. The staff were okay, not rude but not especially welcoming, which seems fairly typical in France. Unfortunately, the hygiene standards were extremely poor. The bathroom was full of mould, and one day there were even traces of blood. Under the mattress there was a buildup of dirt, hair, sticky residue, and pieces of paper. Moreover the curtain had a big mark of vomit. Luckily no bedbugs. Staff should do their job properly.

Der erste Eindruck war wirklich positiv: Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und der Eingangsbereich ist modern und offen gestaltet. Besonders die runde Bar schafft eine angenehme Atmosphäre, und auch der Kaffee war sehr gut – insgesamt ein gelungener Start. Zusätzlich gibt es im unteren Bereich einen sehr schönen Innenhof mit Bäumen, der eine ruhige und angenehme Atmosphäre bietet. Auch die Lage ist ein großer Pluspunkt: Das Hostel liegt nur etwa fünf Gehminuten von einer RER-Station entfernt, wodurch man schnell und unkompliziert in die Stadt gelangt. Wir reisen jedoch mit einer Gruppe von ca. 30 Schüler*innen, und bei der Unterbringung der Lehrkräfte kam dann die große Ernüchterung: Statt regulärer Zimmer wurden uns sogenannte „Capsules“ zugewiesen – kleine Holzkonstruktionen in einem Gemeinschaftsraum, die eher an Schuhkartons oder Hühnerkäfige erinnern als an eine zumutbare Unterkunft. Positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass sich das Hostel bemüht hat, eine Lösung zu finden. Da jedoch keine ausreichende Anzahl an Einzelzimmern verfügbar war, musste letztlich eine begleitende Lehrkraft in ein anderes Hotel ausquartiert werden. Die Zimmer der übrigen Gruppe (inklusive der Schüler*innen) sind grundsätzlich in Ordnung, allerdings gibt es ein großes Problem: Die Fenster lassen sich überhaupt nicht öffnen, und stattdessen läuft durchgehend eine Klimaanlage, die nur eingeschränkt regulierbar ist. Dadurch entsteht ein sehr unangenehmes Raumklima. Die ganze Nacht ohne frische Luft oder jeglichen Kontakt zur Außenwelt zu verbringen, ist äußerst beklemmend. Besonders kritisch ist jedoch, dass in einem Bett einer Schülerin Bettwanzen festgestellt wurden. Das ist ein hygienisches Problem, das in einer Unterkunft absolut nicht vorkommen sollte und den Gesamteindruck deutlich verschlechtert. Das Frühstück ist insgesamt in Ordnung, aber nichts Besonderes. Positiv überrascht hat allerdings der Automatenkaffee, der hier ungewöhnlich gut schmeckt. Insgesamt bleibt trotz einiger positiver Aspekte ein klar negativer Gesamteindruck, vor allem aufgrund der Unterbringungssituation und der hygienischen Mängel.

Les draps n’étaient pas propres et il y avait des punaises de lit

Ce n’est pas ma première nuit dans cet auberge pour autant cette fois ci mes draps étaient sales et infestés de punaises de lit. Je n’ai passé qu’une nuit et je suis totalement recouverte de bouton. Comment les draps pouvaient être aussi sales (traces de rouge à lèvre ou autre..) Je suis extrêmement déçue et je n’y retournerai pas.

uma amiga minha foi picada por um percevejo. a limpeza é meio questionavel. o banheiro proporciona bastante provacidade, mas poderia ser mais limpo. fiquei em um quartquarto individual e achei meio sufocante, a ventilação poderia ser melhor. a equipe é muito boa, atencatenciosa r prestativa.

Adorei o hostel. Muito bem localizado, já que tem uma estação de metro do lado. Atendentes bem prestativos. Eu daria nota 10 na minha estadia se não tivesse acha um percevejo na minha cama, que me deixou com muitas picadas, fazendo com que tivesse que acionar o meu seguro viagem para ir ao médico.

Staff was nice and the rooms were spacious. However, the elevators constantly were glitching on me (I was on the 5th floor). They would sometimes even lock you inside - scary. The eco system they have for lights is stupid and unhelpful. (You have to leave your keycard in a slot to turn on lights in the room but they don’t tell you that) Food was also overpriced. There were bed bugs found during my stay, so I checked out and they did give me a refund for the days I wouldn’t be there.

Je viens d'annuler la veille pour le lendemain, il refuse de me rembourser. Il y a plein de commentaires comme quoi il y a les personnes qui dorment dans cette auberge ont trouvé des punaise de lit et se font piquer. C'est pour cela que j'ai annulé

Bienvenue à Paris et ses alentours , punaise de lit dans un drap normalement propre et des poils d'un inconnu sur la taie d'oreiller'.

Nos enfants ont séjourné lors d'un voyage de classe pendant une semaine, ils sont revenus avec des punaises de lit. Merci pour le cadeau 😡

I stayed here with my family (2 adults, 3 kids in 5pers-room) for 4 nights Jan 21-25. The first night we were in room 414, but after a night of barely getting any sleep due to heat, lack of air and the room smelling terrible, we realized the AC and ventilation wasn’t working which made the room unbearable to be in. We brought it up with the guy in the reception the following afternoon and he was very nice and helpful and got us a new room. Other than that the room was fine, the cleaning wasn’t great but it could have been worse. The windows in this room also don’t open which of course made the ventilation issue even worse. Night 2-4 we stayed in room 506 where the AC worked well and the air quality was MUCH better. Here the cleaning was also poorly done. After having read the reviews after the first night, we checked this room for bed bugs (didn’t see any!) and found lots of dirt and trash under the mattresses, under one some type of food. By some of the beds there was also trash (peanuts and chips) on the bedsides next to the mattresses. The drain in the shower was also clogged so the water barely ran down, we weren’t able to take a full shower during our stay. The rest of the room is fine, it doesn’t feel clean but it doesn’t feel super dirty either. In this room the windows can be opened. The breakfast was fine, pretty basic breakfast buffet. Only minus was that there were no gluten free options the day we were there and most of the breakfast was bread-based. We ended up buying breakfast out the rest of the trip. The level of service varied, some employees are super nice and helpful, others very nonchalant and hardly acknowledge someone is in front of them. The location is good if you want to save some money by not staying in the center. The RAR station is only 3min walk away, very easy to get to and from the city center! We didn’t spend much time in the common areas so can’t say much about them, but our youngest absolutely loved the foosball table!

0 Sterne – sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung. Während unseres Aufenthalts hatten wir massive Probleme mit Bettwanzen. Mehrere Zimmer schienen betroffen zu sein. Anstatt das Problem nachhaltig zu lösen, wurden wir lediglich in andere Zimmer verlegt, in denen ähnliche Zustände herrschten. Das vermittelte den Eindruck, dass Bettwanzen dort kein Einzelfall sind. Die Sauberkeit war insgesamt schlecht. Unter den Betten befand sich deutlich sichtbarer Schmutz, Krümel und Staub. Unter diesen Umständen fühlt man sich weder wohl noch sicher. Der Schlafkomfort war äußerst gering. Die Fenster ließen sich nicht öffnen, und die Klimaanlage funktionierte nur eingeschränkt. Die Steuerung war defekt, sodass man auf Zufall angewiesen war, um eine erträgliche Temperatur zu erreichen. Das Personal war zwar höflich, wirkte jedoch überfordert. Sobald das Thema Bettwanzen angesprochen wurde, wurde die Kommunikation schwierig und man wurde an die Leitung verwiesen. Konkrete Hilfe oder nachvollziehbare Lösungen gab es nicht. Die Lage ist gut, gleicht die genannten Mängel jedoch in keiner Weise aus. Aufgrund unserer Erfahrungen können wir dieses Hostel nicht empfehlen.

There were bed bugs and dirty sheets and blood on the bed curtain. The staff member did not seem to care about what I was telling him and did not offer any sort of help or refund for this disgusting room.

- geen stoelen (zitplaatsen in de kamer), ook vrijwel geen stoelen met rugleuning in de lobby! - goed aftimmeren zodat er geen afval/stof achter de bedden in een kier terecht kan komen - mijn vrouw had last van bedwantsen (de bultjes heeft ze nog steeds) - dikkere matrassen (hardere kussen)

Hygiène déplorable mur sale douche avec des cheveux sur les parois, toilettes pas ouf derrière les lits superposés il y a des déchets et je viens de lire qu’il y aurait probablement des punaises de lit 😱 Parfois vaut mieux payer un peu plus pour avoir des choses de qualité

The hostel is literally 2 minutes walk from the train station (which takes 20 minutes to the city center; 5 stops). If it’s night time, there is a bus that also takes you to the station in 20 minutes which is a ten minute walk from the hostel. Reading the reviews, I thought there might be a problem with hygiene, cleanliness of the toilet or bedbugs. I had no problems, in fact, everything was clean enough. There was always toilet paper, I never waited for a shower, always warm water and never a dirty toilet or shower. Cozy and modern room. As for the single cabin, it is exactly what it should be. A separate bed with a door in a multi-bed room, not a single room, which I see some people expect. If you have a problem hearing someone or being heard by someone, then this is not for you. Kudos to the security guards and the girl at the reception for their smile and friendliness. The rooftop terrace is great. I would prefer that the indoor area remained open at night for smokers, at least if it is not open for detention. It looks a bit sleazy when we smoke outside. Also, the kitchen should be open all night. There are things that some people consume or should consume at night, and they need to be kept in the refrigerator. Some people come home at night and would like to maybe heat something up, eat. Everything else - great. I will be happy to come back.

TL;DR: bed bugs and data leaks to scammers. Stayed for 1 night, party of 3, in a private room. After booking, we got a sketchy whatsapp message asking for payment information with a link. Reached out to the hotel, who said it was a scam. The scammers knew we were staying in this hotel, had our names and the dates of our stay. This place clearly has data protection issues. The bed also had bed bugs. I found one on my pillow in the morning and left the hotel covered in bites. The room was extremely dark. There are only individual reading lights in the bunks (nothing to illuminate the actual room) so it's impossible to see anything if you arrive after dark. Despite the freezing temperatures outside, the room was extremely hot; expect to sweat all throughout the night if you end up in a top bunk. Don't get tricked by the price, location or the pretty bar. It's not worth the risk.

The stay overall is okay. Everything was as in the pictures but the problem is that I think there are some bed bugs (or fleas) because the first night I woke up with bites in my arms and face, but it was only me, not my friends. I don’t understand why only me, because I think all was kinda clean (the bed and all that stuff), even tho there were some snacks bags behind the wall.

Bedbugs, and then they inly refunded me for two nights

If you have disrespectful people sleeping near you, you’ll be annoyed by the noise. My main concern is that last time I was bitten by bed bugs. I’m allergic to it but it shows up only 24h later so I couldn’t notify the hotel. For me it’s a pity because I enjoyed to go there in the past but I won’t take the risk to reiterate the experience :(

Bedbugs !

The hostel was ok considering the price, the first room we were given unfortunately had bedbugs but when we informed the staff they were very helpful and moved us to a bedbug free room. The room itself was spacious and had an en-suite which was nice. Location was ok, about 30 minutes from the centre on the tram but again considering the price it wasn’t bad. Cleanliness needs improvement.

Nul 0, punaise de lit, sale, déçu de l’accueil, ma parole a été remise en question lorsque j’ai annoncé que j’avais une piqure de punaise de lit. Décevant !!!!

The hostel is in a decent location and easily accessible. Staff is friendly and I like the cabin concept. However, there are serious issues with cleanliness. My cabin was very dusty, there were hairs everywhere, foot crumbs, and even trash left by a previous guest. The shower rooms had mold all over them. Woke up to the sight of a bedbug.

I got bed bugs, they let me use for free the laundry and change room but wouldn’t help me on how to manage bed bugs with my luggage or suggested extinction company… they were not really helpful, but the bathroom were cleaned

THERE ARE BED BUGS IN THIS HOSTEL!!! When I told the front of the house staff and even showed them video evidence of the bed bug I killed on my phone, they were so non-chalant about it, they didn't offer to change my beddings or room, luckily it was my last night there. I feel there needs to be customer service training or retraining for the staff honestly.

No dan toallas, te hacen pagar para alquilarlas. No hay luz general para la habitación, únicamente la ventana y unas luces individuales. Luego de mi estancia (solo dos noches), tuve muchas picaduras de chinches.
