Mijn verblijf was ronduit verschrikkelijk. In de kamer trof ik bedwantsen aan. Het zat zelfs in de gordijnen! Dit is absoluut onacceptabel en wijst op een ernstig gebrek aan hygiëne en onderhoud. Ik heb meteen melding gemaakt bij de receptie, maar er werd nauwelijks actie ondernomen. Na de tweede keer het melden gaven ze mij de bevestiging dat het bedwantsen waren. Het heeft mijn hele verblijf verpest en ik ben eerder vertrokken dan gepland. Absoluut geen aanrader en ik raad iedereen aan dit hostel te vermijden totdat ze hun schoonmaak serieus gaan nemen. Ze gaven uit eindelijk na het vragen nog een spray mee waarmee ik mijn koffer kon inspuiten. Ze waren nog wel zo netjes om mij naar een ander hostel te verwijzen.

It was a nice hostel stay with a very different party vibe to the ones we have been to before! There is always events on, so very social. However, no locks on the dorm rooms and I had bed bugs :(

Weet niet waar deze 2 voor staat, maar beter was het een 0. Misschien voor de locatie ja, maar wat een vreselijk hostel verder. Je kunt hier niet slapen tenzij je jezelf naar de gallemiezen drinkt, dan heb je geen last van de herrie, gorigheid en (naar horen zeggen) bedbugs. Raad het niemand aan.

This was my first hostel experience and was staying here for 3 nights and it was perfect until on the last night the managers/owners were screaming at customers and it’s own volunteers right in their faces and I witnessed a staff member threatening a volunteer their job if they didn’t go to bed when they were having a conversation in the toilet. When my boyfriend said something about it being unprofessional and that it will make people not want to stay he said “well maybe I have no guest for 2 weeks but after that I’ll have guests.” Not the right attitude to have. He also proceeded to show him bite marks where he said that they spray the beds every 2 weeks and today we have been to the pharmacy to ask about the bites and they are bed bug bites. He also messaged the group WhatsApp everyone joins when staying to address what happened and mention the bed bugs and the message was deleted and avoided which is unprofessional.

BED BUGS We stayed for 3 nights so this is tough first 2 nights seemed okay atmosphere good rooms on the surface are quite nice On the 2nd night at 4am our AC went off and in an 8 bed dorm you can imagine it got pretty hot pretty quick one of the lights also turned on. Everything is automatic so someone must of came in drunk and messed with the timers On our last night the hostel had arranged a club night at a cost of 80RM they took us to a decent looking club but the music was terrible however this is

EZ Social Hostel Georgetown está hecho para el viaje de sumarse-a-la-mesa: actividades diarias, cenas grupales, pub crawls, juegos de bar y un flujo de WhatsApp hacen fácil caer rápido en una crew. La ubicación es Georgetown central, cerca de Love Lane, street food, tiendas de conveniencia, buses, malls y la zona de caminar por el casco antiguo. La sala de cine es un destaque real: un montaje de sofá grande con proyector para noches de película, maratones de series y descanso tipo Mario Kart cuando el cerebro de bar necesita reinicio. También hay terraza en la azotea, bar propio, desayuno gratis, agua potable, toallas, lockers, acceso con tarjeta y puede haber lavandería. La comodidad de los dormitorios puede ser mejor que el promedio de party hostel, con camas cómodas, dos almohadas, espacio de guardado y habitaciones limpias cuando el lugar funciona bien. La zona solo para mujeres tiene baños separados y acceso con tarjeta, lo que le da a esa parte del edificio una sensación más privada. Sigue siendo un hostel party-first. El bar y las actividades suelen marcar el ritmo, con música, juegos de beber y movimiento grupal nocturno moldeando más la estadía que el modo recuperación tranquila.
Señales a revisar
- Es un hostel ruidoso, social y muy de beber; dormir antes de medianoche puede ser difícil, especialmente cerca o debajo del bar.
- Las actividades y tragos pueden sentirse caros, y los eventos pagos pueden sumar rápido.
- Las literas superiores pueden no tener cortinas, y la privacidad varía según la cama.
- El ruido puede continuar con grupos que vuelven del pub crawl, pisos que crujen, sonido de la calle y llamados tempranos de la mezquita.
- El servicio es irregular, con quejas serias sobre gerencia grosera, mal manejo de problemas e incidencias de reservas a último minuto.
- Limpieza y mantenimiento son desiguales: baños, aire acondicionado, filtraciones, zonas polvorientas, plagas y problemas de ropa de cama han sido señalados.
