Urban City Centre Hostel

The good thing is that the place is cheap and isn’t that dirty, however the bathroom could have been cleaned better and there are many reviews on google maps (with pictures and videos) of huge bed bugs, which I didn’t find here on Hostelworld, so be careful. We didn’t find any bugs but those reviews made me very paranoid. The area is very sketchy and a bit far from the main attractions. The staff isn’t super polite but not rude either. Another big problem is that the common room is usually empty

Stayed for one night in a double room with my friend. Room was spacious but the windows were right next to the fire stairs which made it so that the room got almost no sunlight. The hotel is cheap and only a 10min walk away from the centre however the surrrounding area does not feel safe. Also got bedbugs :( But it was still alright for one night as a budget traveller. Would not recommend for long stays though. Kind staff.

Je déconseille fortement cet hôtel. Dès la première nuit, j’ai été piqué par des punaises de lit. La chambre était sale et infestée, impossible de dormir. Le personnel a été totalement incompétent, sans aucune solution ni excuse. Aucun professionnalisme, ni sens du service client. Ils ont minimisé le problème et n’ont proposé ni remboursement ni changement de chambre. Une expérience déplorable à fuir absolument. Cet établissement ne mérite même pas une étoile. Hygiène et service catastrophiques.

- chambre très bruyante, impossible d’y dormir à cause de la ventilation que l’on entend même une fois sorties de la chambre, on nous a transféré dans un autre hôtel voisin du même gérant. -l’hôtel voisin Brxxl5 était rempli de punaises de lit. Nous avons été dévorées et en avons ramené dans nos logements respectifs. Un cauchemars. Une réponse laconique et pas de mesures prises par l’établissement suite à l’alerte.

Attention Attention j'ai passé une nuit dans cette hôtel je suis reparti avec des boutons sur le corps remplis des punaises de lit on est arrivé tard la nuit on a pas fait attention je suis vraiment dégouté

Had bed bugs, the little fuckers bit me in the face. Also lots of noise, shower was cold, bathroom dirty. People at reception were friendly though

One of the receptionists has a bit of an attitude - When we checked in, we asked the receptionist if it would be possible to check our beds because we read recent reviews of bed bugs. She said “you can check yourself”. We also simply asked if we could be put in the same room with our friends and instead of just answering the question and saying “no”, she went on and on about needing more notice. One bathroom for an 8-person room, no fun hostel events. It’s an okay choice for one night max.

At first the place seemed nice even if there was too many stairs to reach to our room. Unfortunately duvets and pillows were dirty and we found out some bed bugs (here are a pic of it). We came back to home with several itchy bites on our bodies. I don't recommend.

Attention punaises de lit

La cama tenía chinches, no hay ascensor solo se sube por escalera, el barrio muy ruidoso e inseguro, no es nada céntrico y está repleto de musulmanes. Si sos mujer viajando sola, mucho cuidado

Es importante leer los comentarios antes de reservar, lo aprendí a las malas en este lugar. Todo lo que dicen es verdad: las camas tienen chinches que te hacen picar todo el cuerpo, no hay ascensor por lo cual hay que subir siempre por la escalera varios pisos, y la ubicación es horrible y muy insegura. Por el barrio y alrededores está repleto de hombres poco agradables que te comen con la mirada si sos mujer. Tengan mucho cuidado, sobretodo si son chicas viajando solas.

Une chambre insalubre laissée a 4 élèves dans un état lamentable, sol sale . Pas de lumière dans la douche, un champignon d’une longueur minimale de 80cm Odeur répugnante. Punaises de lits trouvées dans les lits et sur les murs. Quartier non sécurisé pour les femmes

PUNAISE DE Lit, MOISISSURE, CHAMPIGNONS Chambres : nous étions dans l’hôtel : Brxxl 5 qui a le même gérant. Un champignon, de la moisissure qui fait toute la douche. Le personnel dit ne pas savoir. Aucune chambre disponible, il insinue qu’on doit retourner dans notre chambre, étant un voyage scolaire, notre enseignant insiste et il nous trouve une chambre à coter. Dans la chambre 412 de cette hôtel : urban centre, au matin nous trouvons des punaises de lits, vivantes, qui se baladaient sur les draps pendant qu’on dormaient. Service : l’accueil ne sais pas quoi dire, ils ont eu la gentillesse de nous donner des sacs poubelles pour qu’on rangent nos affaires. Emplacement ? Quartier de la gare, donc pas conseillé si vous êtes une femme, ou un groupe de femme

Había chinches en la habitación, todo muy sucio y con mal olor. El agua de la ducha ardía y no se podía graduar

We got bed bugs! When we told the staff, they gave us a new room on a different floor and cleaned the room that we were in before. It definitely took away from our experience. The hostel was in a pretty sketchy area, and there were a lot of older men staying in the hostel, which was fine but we didn’t feel the safest as two young women. There was an area to eat and warm up food, and the atmosphere was nice. We are sure that there are still bed bugs in this hostel, so steer clear.

The big problem: BED BUGS and ofc blood stains on the bed sheets. We asked to change rooms and both room had multiple bed bugs. In the morning we asked for a compensation and they denied and also asked me if I had bites.. idk why that info is relevant. No one offer us a solution, the idea of changing rooms was mine when I saw the night guy that didn’t even say sorry about the situation. At the next day when we made the check out, the nice girl of the morning said she could have relocated us that night in another hostel. Sadly the night guy was not aware of this information (or any other solution ideas). We leave the place angry and disappointed.

My most honest opinion: Location is good, pretty close to interest points. Located in an immigrant area (still don’t find that enough reason to say it’s dangerous like other people say). La atención recibida por los trabajadores fue muy buena. El problema llega cuando nos encontramos chinches en la habitación y en varias a las que nos movieron. Finalmente nos realojaron en otro hotel, tras cambianos varias veces de habitacion. Todo esto a altas horas de la noche. Seguid la recomendación de quedarse solo una noche. No llega a ser por las chinches el hostel seria estupendo

Chambres pas propres, emplacement dans un quartier pas très beau, présence de punaises de lit dans les chambres. Je ne sais même pas si les toilettes ont été nettoyées avant notre arrivée

L'emplacement était trop bruyant et en rentrant de voyage nous avons remarqué plusieurs piqûres de punaise de lit sur notre petite fille surtout sur elle. On en a même tué une grosse dans un coussin et dans la douche. Le sèche-cheveux ne marche même pas. Y a pas d'ascenseur, l'escalier est étroit. Le personnel a oublié de nous donner une serviette et pour aller la retirer nous avons donc payer 2 € s'il vous plaît. Veuillez à respecter l'hygiène de vos clients s'il vous plaît. NETTOYER IL Y A DES TACHES LÀ-BAS. NE METTEZ SURTOUT PAS LA COUVERTURE SI VOUS ÊTES LÀ-BAS. Plus les toilettes bouchées et la chasse d'eau qui ne marchait pas. C'était bien mais il n'y a pas d'hygiène dans cet hôtel à revoir... merci quand même de nous avoir accueilli. C'est la saleté ou la propriété ?

I was bit by bed bugs everywhere

No curtains. Small room. No air con - don’t necessarily expect that a hostel but you want it to be dark; location was SO loud you had to have windows open. Only quiet after 3am. Bugs / bed bugs in room.

The bathroom light was very dim. that way you couldn’t see how dirty it actually was, but I noticed. The were bedbugs in the beds, there was no elevator and I stayed in the 4th floor. The zone wasn’t as nice either, everything around it smelled weird, close transportation and kinda close to the Grand Place so that’s nice. Overall, worst hostel I’ve ever stayed tbh.

El hotel se encuentra ubicado en un barrio muy peligroso. Literalmente, nos dijeron que mejor no saliéramos por la noche y que fuéramos con cuidado. Hemos visto borrachos y gente con muy malas pintas todos los días. El acceso a las habitaciones es nefasto, ya que no cuenta con ascensor, solo con unas escaleras super empinadas y con unos peldaños enanos en los que no te cabe el pie entero. Subir y bajar con las maletas era horrible, ya que si no te fijabas bien ibas escaleras abajo. Respecto a la habitación, esta es muy pequeña para tres personas, no cuenta ni con armarios ni con la típica nevera pequeña de los hoteles. Por no tener, no tiene ni mesita de noche. La iluminación es bastante escasa. El cuarto de baño es enano. Literalmente, teníamos que turnarnos para poder hacer uso del mismo. Respecto a las camas, estas son tan pequeñitas que una amiga, al girarse, se caía. Los colchones tienen manchas amarillas bastante sospechosas. Respecto a la higiene del hotel, solo disponíamos de 1 toalla por persona para 5 días. Para todo. Ya sea ducharse, lavarse el pelo, lavarse la cara o lavarse las manos. Luego, tras preguntar, el chico de la recepción nos dijo que tras 2 días cambian las toallas, pero si no llegamos a preguntarle nadie nos hubiera proporcionado esta información. Para toda la estancia, solo tuvimos 2 rollos de papel higiénico. Tuvimos que bajar a la recepción para que nos dieran otros 2 rollos más, porque se nos habían acabado. No limpiaban diariamente la habitación. De hecho, nos tocó bajar a la recepción a decirles si nos la podían limpiar ya que una amiga, por la noche, había visto en la cama insectos. El último día vimos chinches en la ropa y también marcas de picotazos de las mismas por todo el cuerpo. La falta de limpieza provoca que estos insectos proliferen sin ningún tipo de problema, que se queden entre las sábanas y salgan por la noche a alimentarse, picando a la gente que duerme en las camas.

L’endroit était sale, mal insonorisé, sans clim et pour couronner le tout nous avons trouvé ce qui ressemblait à une punaise de lit… ne vaut clairement pas son prix.

We arrived our first night and immediately spotted blood stains on the sheets, strong odor in the hostel, lots of mold on the sink and in the shower. We also spotted bed bugs and left the hostel. The worst part is that we argued to only get a partial refund for 1night (LOL). Horrible experience! Do yourself a favour and do not come here!

Security was good, and the room was clean, especially the toilet and shower. In contrast to what we had read on the reviews, there were no bedbugs whatsoever in our room. The region was a little shady, but withing walking distance of public transport. The noise level was a little loud, the traffic especially. On the site it said that there would be lockers, but there were none. The kitchen had a kettle or two, but the water had not been changed overnight.

This place is full of bed bugs.we are a couple and stayed for 1 night and didn't sleep at all because of bed bugs.we booked a dormitory but both of our beds were with bed bugs and we were bitten all over.we took several pictures and videos of bed bugs during night and send those to hostel management. We have written several emails and contacted the reception staff about this ,but there is no response at all. We would never go back to this place. Overall we had terrible experience.

BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cannot make this up. If I knew this place had a bed bug infestation and I was going to wake up with a million bites on my body, then I would have never booked. I am so scared one crawled into my stuff and my home is going to be infested. Also, there is no option for gendered dorms, probably a cheap move from the owner. BED BUGS. Loud, noisy, drunk and rough people loitering outside 24/7. BED BUGS. Construction work wakes you up at 7am. Bathroom light is dim like a candle. BED BUGS. No hot water. Sink is clogged, all disgusting debris floats up. BED BUGS. No safety rails on bunkbed. No elevator, enjoy walking up 4 flights. Oh yeah, they also have bed bugs. Lots of blood sucking bed bugs. Go sleep on the street but avoid this hell.hole.

Leider sehr schlechte Erfahrung. Waren nur eine Nacht dort und hatten direkt Bettwanzen Bisse am ganzen Körper. Keine Rückmeldung/Rückerstattung erhalten.

Extremamente sujo, cheirava a esgoto no quarto (ficámos no 111, fujam do sítio, se não conseguirem fugir do sítio pelo menos escolham outro quarto), não havia luz natural porque a porta/janela dava para o subterrâneo, a zona de comer estava nojenta, talheres e pratos sujos, zona desconfortável, hostel barulhento, etc etc... As fotografias não mostram bem o quarto.

Me quede 3 noches, y me picaron durmiendo chinches, fui a decirle al personal y no hicieron mas que cambiarme las sabanas, sin darme solución al problema. La habitación era cómoda pero con chinches no puedes dormir bien. La ubicación no es la mas cercana al centro, tienes que caminar 25 minutos aproximadamente para llegar.
