Quartier Bilbao Hostel

Estuve en la habitación 32, cama 1 y es muy probable que la cama tenga chinches. No pude buscar los animalitos porque solo me quedé una noche y salí muy temprano. Pero por la comezón durante la noche sin que hubiera sonido de mosquitos, las ronchas apareciendo algunas horas después y los patrones de los piquetes (en grupos de tres a cinco) me hacen creer que es así. Recomiendo reservar el lugar, por la calidad precio está bien, pero si les asignan esta cama o este cuarto, sería bueno que verifiquen con la persona de recepción que se haya atendido el problema.

We found bedbugs when we were going to sleep so we left right away. Gladly we were cautios from beginning as there were blood stains on every matress in the room and overall cleanliness was not well. We got refunded the next day without any problems so that was positive.

Extremely dirty and has bed bugs

BED BUGS! I spent 2 nights here May 7-9th and was very bitten after the first night, I tried to look for the bugs and it only got way worse after the second night! It's all over my arms, ankles and feet. I've been so itchy and have had terrible allergic reactions after my stay at this hostel. Other than the bed bugs, the rooms were a good size but hot. The showers and bathrooms were very small and only 2 stalls per floor. The breakfast was nice but basic. Location was the best park, very central in old town (a little noisy) however not worth the best bugs. Sorry for the delay in posting this review, they kept rejecting my photos, I know it's bad!

Moldy mattress and full of bedbugs! Checked out before even sleeping there :( Staff was super friendly and cooperative though, got money back without any problem

Hygiene+ niet accuraat reageren op de aanwezigheid van bedwantsen. De medekamerbewoners werden niet ingelicht, waarschijnlijk ook de kamer niet ontruimd + desinfectie ?

This hostel's got a great location, right in the heart of Bilbao, which is super convenient, and the basic breakfast is a nice perk. Plus, the reception guys do try to be friendly. However, that's where the positives end. The lack of curtains on the beds means zero privacy, and the thin blanket was definitely not warm enough for a December stay. To make matters worse, the heater wasn't working, so the room was freezing. Cleanliness was a major issue; there was dust everywhere. I also woke up with a couple of red marks on my arms, which might be bed bug bites – definitely not a pleasant surprise. The water was cold yesterday and this morning, so I checked out without even getting a shower – super annoying. Yeah, it's cheap at €77 for 4 nights, but there's no excuse for the lack of cleanliness, potential bed bugs, broken heater, and basic comforts. They seriously need to pay more attention to cleaning and provide warmer bedding.

Leider wird hier keinen großen Wert auf Sauberkeit gelegt. Es gab dort Bettwanzen und ich war am ganzen Körper mit Bissen bedeckt! Horror! Als Gast bezieht man sein Bett selbst, dadurch haben die Mitarbeitenden ja quasi keine regelmäßige Kontrolle der Betten, so fallen Bettwanzen natürlich weniger auf. Außerdem sind die Betten quasi direkt auf dem Boden und der Abstand zwischen unterm und oberen Bett so gering, dass man sich ständig den Kopf anschlägt. Gegen die Mitarbeitenden ist nichts zu sagen, alle wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Auch die Küche und der Aufenthaltsraum ist soweit in Ordnung. Leider gibt es in der Küche keinen Herd, nur eine Mikrowelle. Richtiges Kochen als nicht möglich.

We had a horrible experience. We (myself and my daughter) had booked a shared 6 bed room. Our room (#12) was INCREDIBLY dirty and something that looked like huge stains of shit under one of the mattresses. On top of that another person was already in the room. Definitely not a Pilgrim, my best guess is that the hostel has an agreement with social services. A travel companion left the hostel due to reported bedbugs in her room (#31). After a short walk around town, we returned to a room that was filled with smoke. The social service person claimed she didn't smoke in the room (with a pack of cigarettes on her bed. The reception was not very helpful. We wanted to change rooms, and they suggested room #31, but we had heard about the bedbug situation (but it says something about a lodging that puts people in a known bedbug infested room). They were only able to relocate my daughter. Upon my return to the room the social services person started yelling at me due to the cigarette situation, whereafter miraculously it was possible to relocate me as well. The new rooms (separate) were ok, but the social services person was screaming on the staircase 2-3 hours until 12am

Podría estar mucho más limpio Si vas con personas mayores como fue mi caso no acaban de ser prácticas las literas A mí madre creo que le picaron chinches. A los otros tres no Estaba limpio pero no perfecto como para sentirse totalmente a gusto

Salí con picadura de chinches. El aseo es fatal. El olor de la habitación insoportable.

Llevo 15 años organizando unas etapas del camino de santiago para peregrinos. Es el peor sitio que me he encontrado jamás. Las condiciones de higiene brillan por su ausencia. En las dos habitaciones que reservamos habia:humedad, cableado electrico en mal estado y peligroso. Chinches aplastadas en la pared y vivas debajo de los colchones. Tuvimos que cancelar automáticamente para un grupo de 10 personas con las consecuencias que ello conlleva para un gasto de imprevisto. Este sitio debería estar cerrado hasta que fumiguen porque el hostal tiene zonas comunes muy bonitas. Volvería siempre y cuando estuviese en condiciones decentes.

BED BUGS. I genuinely feel that I enjoyed almost all aspects of this hostel, except for the fact that we found bed bugs. Location was great, staff was great, overall cleanliness was not an issue. Elevator does not go to the first floor, and bathroom was very small. Bathroom had two singular toilet stalls, two shower stalls and a double sink. This was supposed to be shared with everyone on our floor, and the bathroom was not separated by gender, so we had to share a total of two toilets and two showers with

Todo iba bien, hasta que nos empezaron a picar chinches. Por lo visto tienen un problema de infestación de esta plaga y no lo están arreglando. A varios de los que fuimos nos picaron y nos dejaron marcas hasta una semana después. Además estamos hablando de entre 10 y 15 picadas en el cuerpo. Muy mala experiencia en este sentido

Sintiéndolo mucho, me veo obligada a poner esta reseña. Me hospedé durante cuatro noches en el hostel y y este es el resultado. Nos hospedamos también el año pasado y no hubo ningún incidente pero este año yo y varios de mis compañeros de la habitación estamos llenos de picadas de chinches. he informado al personal del Hotel, que parecía no ser conocedor del tema, aunque leyendo reseñas otros usuarios advierten sobre el tema ya de dos meses atrás, incluso un año atrás. Espero que no borréis la reseña y que por favor toméis acciones al respecto. Gracias

En la habitación había chinches. Las duchas un poco incómodas para ducharse y dejar la ropa sin que se te moje.

Mi experiencia en el Hostal fue terrible. Los baños estaban sucios, los botes desbordados de papel, el piso y escusados sin limpiar. Las habitaciones muy sucias, había basura en el piso, en la orilla de la cama y polvo en todas partes. Y lo peor es que en las camas había chinches, otros viajeros que compartían habitación conmigo y de otras habitaciones tuvieron el mismo problema. Me sorprende que los comentarios y puntuación del hostal sean tan altos. Cero recomendable.

Leider ist das Hostel auch wenn die Lage perfekt und das Angebot günstig ist, nicht zu empfehlen. Hätte Bettwanzen und war von Kopf bis Fuß zerbissen als ich heimfuhr. Keine schöne Erfahrung!

Les toilettes sales et cassées, il n'y avait que 2 douches et 2 toilettes pour 12 personnes, ma porte de placard cassée, ma prise de lit ne marchait pas, j'ai trouvé une punaise de lit et j'ai signalé aux personnes sur place qui n'ont rien fait.

Había chinches y nos fuimos a otro sitio.

Baños con limpieza escasa. Vi a la persona que los "limpiaba" y se limitó a pasar una bayeta a la taza. Las duchas sin cierre, en un baño mixto. 2 baños y 2 duchas para una planta de mínimo 12 personas. El baño tamaño Ryanair, donde una persona de 1,80 cm le tocaban las rodillas con la puerta. Colchones y edredones sucios y manchados. Deben haber chinches porque la última noche acabé con 5 picaduras en los brazos. Habitaciones diminutas para 6 personas. El desayuno limitado. Su ubicación y un personal amable es lo único bueno. No lo recomiendo para nada, además de ser caro calidad/precio.

Ficámos num quarto quádruplo privativo e quando entrámos pareceu-nos bom. O pior foi quando verificámos junto das camas, para além de muita sujidade por baixo dos colchões, uma infestação de percevejos. Uma das amigas foi picada durante a noite. Deixei aviso na receção. Espero que tomem providências, pois de resto o hostel é muito agradável.

My back is covered with bed bug bites. My roommates had found small bugs in their beds and removed them, but I hadn't and apparently they were bed bugs. I find what happened really serious and a symptom of poor cleanliness.

I went in this hostel and it was the worst experience of my life. The hostel was full of bedbugs, infested. The hostel knew about the situation and did nothing. I slept the whole night outside the hostel so I would not sleep with bedbugs, and I will not be reimbursed. El albergue estaba lleno de chinches de cama, infestado. El albergue conocía la situación y no hizo nada. Dormí toda la noche fuera del albergue para no dormir con chinches, y no me devolverán el dinero.

Con las instalaciones un poco sucios hemos encontrado chinches en la cama y tuvimos que irnos del hostel en medio noche. Quiero que la gente sepa porque era una noche muy estresante.

Dirty. Poor customer service. Told I’d have a private bathroom but had a bathroom down the hall that said private for my room but everyone used. Woke up at 1:30 am with bed bugs all over my bed. I moved down to the lobby with my things and laid on the couch. 2 drunk people who weren’t staying there knew the door code and came in separately one to plug in his phone and talk for an hour and one one passed out on the other couch. Dirty place. When I told the lady when she came in at 7am before I even finished she knew what I was going to say. Avoid.

Was not clean in the rooms at all, and one of the beds had bed bugs. Never had such an uncomfortable experience in a hostel before, with people in the room being obnoxiously loud at odd hours and someone in the room even using my flip flops.
