The Broadmore Miami Beach

The room was filthy. Beds full of hairs. Mattresses without protectors. Stains. The bathroom smelled of cockroach pesticides. Pretty sure there were bed bugs, my 8-year-old laid down for 20 minutes and ended up with several bites across her legs. When I complained and requested proof of my check in and out times, my request was refused by the supervisor who was bothered and angry staff called her at midnight. She literally yelled at me, "you don't understand anything, I'm not going to help you!". She was mad and tired? Me and my kids came from a 6-hour flight and my kids were falling asleep and dragging her feet when we got to the hotel, which by the way is impossible to know how to get to. First you park by the library where homeless people are yelling at each other and it's dark, leaving you feeling super unsafe, and then it starts the game of how the heck you access the hotel which has a construction fence all around and entrances are blocked. It was a NIGHTMARE... Avoid at all costs. I'm telling you. It's not worth it. Run.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Absolutely no parking, we had to carry our luggage 3 blocks to get to the hotel. The hotel itself is very dirty, the room was awful. The linens were never changed and we were there for a week. We had to ask for clean towels, and the towels provided were stained and covered in other people’s pubic hair. I can’t be sure but I think they had bedbugs, I have welts all over my body. The elevator is basically non existent. To go to the 5th floor, we timed it the second time we used it and it took 2 minutes and 30 seconds to go 5 floors. Our AC broke and we asked to switch rooms, the lady at the desk said let me check and I’ll call you back, she never called back, so we had a miserable hot night. They did fix the AC the next day after we asked a second time.

This place is absolutely disgusting. We checked in and went to our room. There were bed bugs and a dead cockroach/ bee or wasp in the bathtub along with clumps of hair. When we went back down to the front desk the guy just stood there shocked that we were back. We asked for a refund for the 60$ ( an extra stay fee ) and he told me I would only get 40$ back because we “ stayed “ one night. This all happened at 2AM. Checked in at 130 and walked back down to the desk by 145. He took my card information and told me to come back the next day after he “ checked us out “ We went back the next day and he never checked me out. There was no credit card information in the system. The building do not match the ones online and not to mention there was construction all over the place. The people there are rude. No refund available at all. And who knows where my credit card information went.

I had surgery and intended to stay here for my recovery, but this place gave me an infection. The room had roaches and bed bugs, the windows were so dirty that I couldn't see outside, and the temperature was 50 degrees in the room,Turning off the cooler didn't help at all. There was no blanket on the bed, and the two worn-out blankets in the closet were too thin. When I asked for a blanket, the front desk told me, "It is what it is; we don't give out blankets just like that.i couldn’t even charge my iPhone or iPad to watch a movie or do something , the TV didn’t work either ,i had to go buy towels from Walmart , u have to ask for towels 10 times and yet no one comes to ur room to give you towels or even clean your room , I even witnessed them telling another guest to "GET the F OUT" for asking about parking. The entire facility had a terrible smell, the room was in disrepair, the outlets were non-functional, and nothing was accessible for those with disabilities. I saw a woman struggling to reach her room and ultimately had to leave. The elevator took about 10 minutes to go up and down (I'm not exaggerating). The tap water came out brown for the first 30 seconds, and I was harassed by another guest in the hallway. I can't believe how filthy and uncomfortable this place is. I left two days early, even though I had paid for five, because I couldn't stand the nastiness in the room and needed to address my infection.

I checked out the hotel today and felt relief...this hotel had bed bugs so now myself and my husband both have bites all over us. The nights I would wake up and have a smoke I was greated by the hotel pet roach I say pet because when I mentioned it to the front desk they just laughed it off and the roach walked around like it was right at home not bothered by people around it did not even try to hide from us, my dry and hand cloth were both dirty one had yellow stains, not to mention we were also very inconvenienced by the construction going on, homless people and drug attics were everywhere. This was a great location to the beach however the environment was horrible, great food around the area I just wouldn't trust the restuarant below the hotel with the bug issue the hotel had, I can only wonder. The pool was not desirable either (dirty). If i could i would leave a half star. Will never go back. Also i feel like I would have gotten robbed if my husband was not in the room because as soon as I left my room to get us some breakfast the cleaner ran right in but they were stopped by my spouse. PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THE PICTURES THEY ARE NOT SHOWING YOU WHAT THIS HOTEL REALLY LOOK LIKE AT ALL.

THIS PLACE HAS BEDBUGS. I understand that when staying at a budget hotel that one cannot have high expectations, but BEDBUGS?!?!? That is where I draw the line. Cockroaches and mold are one thing, but BEDBUGS? That can mess up your whole life. So unimpressed and thankfully I caught the bites before I brought my items into my home after the trip. EDIT: you can disagree with the review all you want, you still have bedbugs

Where do I begin... I'll start off with a positive before getting into the negatives. The front desk Host AJ, was absolutely awesome in making sure my stay was great. I wasn't too happy when I walked in due to my flight & travels to get to the hotel and he made me feel right at home. He's very professional, helpful and courteous and I genuinely appreciated that considering what I'm about to say! On to the negatives... This hotel should be called a MOTEL! My room reminds me of an old project building in NYC! Around the entrance way there's heavy construction, it's definitely an eye sore! The entrance way is very dangerous (leading to the hotel) because there are a lot of unsavory characters walking around, homeless & drug addicts hanging around the entire exterior of the hotel! Somebody doesn't know how to paint for real, because that ghetto ran down white paint on the main foyer doors is what's in the rooms! I checked for bedbugs, there was nothing THANK THE HEAVENS... BUT THERE WAS ROACHES! I found a baby roach in my bathroom! I have it on video! The BEDS are hard & uncomfortable. Stains on the linen, the only thing that was comfortable was those ran down pillows which were all different sizes. Seems like they put pillow cases over throw pillows! Rust in the shower, all thru out the bathroom and that white ran down paint! Ghetto toilet, that doesn't flush properly! Stains on the floor! NEVER went to that ran down pool either. I booked from Priceline and that pool and the decor surrounding it IS PHOTOSHOPPED! DO NOT GO IN THAT POOL, YOU just might catch something! There's security but they clock out at a certain time, so the main door is open on the latest of hours while those unsavory characters are running rampid around the exterior which is a problem. That's NOT fair to the workers at the front desk! Oh how could I forget the elevator that takes 5 decades to open and go up & down. I used it that first day and I thought it wasn't gonna go up. I used the stairs the remainder of my stay! IT'S CLEARLY NOT SAFE NEEDS TO BE OUT OF SERVICE before someone gets hurt! The pics on the website & Priceline are dated IT NO LONGER LOOKS LIKE THAT! God bless the front desk worker AJ because he's the only reason I stayed! Give that man a raise!!! I would not recommend this EVER to anyone... PLEASE DO BETTER, I WORK HARD, TRAVELED THOUSANDS OF MILES AND YOU REALLY MESSED UP MY VACATION! THANKS! DO BETTER!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! I wish I could give NO stars....When we drove up to the hotel my husband said "This is it" and I laughed thinking he was joking. The building looked like it was runned down badly! Took a chance and went to the lobby and asked the receptionist if there was any way that we could see the room. She said "No that's why we have pictures online" with a smug attitude. This made me mad so I gave her the same attitude back and said "Well those pictures look NOTHING like what im seeing here". Long story short, we could not cancel or get a refund on our booking so we lost that money but left anyway and spent more money by going to a different hotel. I was NOT going to risk the possibility of bed bugs or anything to get my daughter sick. THAT'S HOW UGLY AND NASTY IT FELT TO BE THERE!!!!! I'm sure that's why they don't allow refunds or cancellations. They would probably be out of business with people showing up and being surprised at how DIFFERENT and filthy it is to see in real life than in those "pictures online" 😡😡😡😡

This was a pleasant surprise! I read the reviews after I booked and was terrified lol!! But I got here after I took a red eye and was pooped!! They gave me a super cheap early check in which was so amazing cause I needed a shower BAD! PAMALA IS A GODDESS AND A QUEEN!!! After I became a person again, my friend and I went to the bar down stairs and it was great! We got skinny margaritas and walked the beach! The rooms were super clean and there were no cockroaches or bedbugs. I saw that review and was terrified! They are super dated and they do just give you a sheet instead of a comforter which is cool if you are always hot like my dumb friend. But if you are a lizard person like me and are always cold, the front desk will hook you up! Shout out to the overnight team!! Elevator works but is SO SLOW!! So we did climb those five flights of stairs a million times a day which is fine cause I need the exercise haha The view and location is amazing! And I attached a photo to prove it!!

Avoid this hotel, our flight was cancelled and we had to book here last minute, we must have brought back bed bugs with us because my wife and I woke up the next morning with several bites in a line/row. Not to mention we thought we were booking at the Broadmore but were actually put in the building next door which other reviewers have mentioned. There was no mention of this when calling the front desk to confirm our room. Hallways smelled like weed, the other guests were loud, there were cops called on a guest while we were there. The front desk staff themselves were friendly and helpful, but that doesn’t make up for it.

Worse place ever! As soon as I walked in it looks disgusting. We got 5 rooms since we were a big group and we stayed just for one night and I’m glad it wasn’t more than that, multiple people in my family got bitten by bedbugs over night, on top of that the drawers have mold and are breaking apart. I’ve never been in such a nasty place like this

I recommend you not to come to this holtel.When I first came in the holtel someone poop,and threw-up. Tje nexst day I went to get breakfast and the bread was hard and old,the scerceail was expired, the Orange jucie was 👎,and the lady roude.My fridge only worked one.Therw were bed bugs and bit me and my family,the tv did not work at all.The bath tub was black and dirty.The holtel smelled!!!!!!!.

Stay away!! The photos are lies. My husband booked at this hotel on June 1st for 2 nights for my birthday weekend. When we walked in we weren’t greeted. I said “good morning” to the front desk clerk and I was given a dirty look and was told to take a seat for 20 minutes because she was almost done with her shift. I sat down and let my husband handle it to prevent jail time. After waiting for about 45 min he got the room key and we went to our room. We walked in to garbage all over the floor, the bed wasn’t made and an extension cord ran from behind the bed to a night stand where a fan was connect and pointed to the bed (as to dry it). The sheets were on top of the dresser. We didn’t even make it halfway through the room entrance. My husband went back to talk to the front desk and asked for a refund. He argued and threatened to call the police and it was until then that he got a refund. There was another couple at the front desk asking for a refund as well. After speaking with them they advised that they were seeking a refund due to bed bugs. They were also given a hard time and they had video of the bugs and had bites all over their bodies. Stay away from this hotel! This is not worth any kind of money! We made reservations at El Paseo on Españolaway. And it was amazing. So clean and close to the beach and restaurants. I’m obligated to give this hotel 1star just to post this review. I give it ZERO stars!!!!
