My absolute non-negotiable for hostels in bedbugs. I had just gotten done making my bed when the girl next to me started talking and showed me that she had been getting absolutely eaten ALIVE by bedbugs & her attempts at going to staff were met with complete denial and refusal to help. Also, while I had no problem getting switched to an all-girl dorm after booking wrong (I’m white), however I later over overheard 3 hijabi girls were told they could not switch as it was against policy.
