   Don't trust the positive reviews as they reward people for good reviews. The rooms are super small and impossible to leave your bags somewhere. The staff is not unfriendly but also not helpful and rather lazy. Atmosphere was not existent. Location is good though. Would recommend to stay somewhere else for the price

   Nice overall. One toilet, sink and drain for an 18 person rooms is a bit crazy but we made it work. Our room had a balcony which was so nice and breakfast was great. If anyone extends a night, they offer them a 10% discount if they leave a 5 star review on hostleworld. Keep in mind that’s why they probably had such a high rating

   The shower could use some attention but other than that, everything was fine. The breakfast was better than average and the location is right in the middle of the Old Quarter. So why did I rate it 7.4 when others say 10? Because I paid at checkout and was offered a 10% discount if I left a review on the spot. I declined the discount and things got frosty.

   Black mold in the bathroom and probably in the room as well. The air quality is very poor. I’ve seen mice in the kitchen, so hygiene is clearly not a priority here. The good reviews can only be explained by the fact that you get a 10% discount if you write a positive review, so they are essentially bought. Anyone looking for a place to feel comfortable and stay healthy is in the wrong place.

   They give discounts for good reviews, which I find f***d up. Wouldn’t be so bad, but my room was SO HUMID, I got sick. Also no vibe really. I only liked the location and free breakfast.

   absolutely decent, breakfast had many nice fruits, I wouldn’t book the sleeper bus through them to sapa if you wanna have a bit of a nicer one, the rooms are good, I didn’t think it was an extraordinary great vibe there but also not bad (didn’t get bribed at all for giving a good review for a free waterbottle;)

   The best thing about the hostel is the Ha Giang Loop Tour offered by Cloudy Hostel. Good location and free breakfast. I don't know where all the good reviews come from. The rooms are very small and smelled musty. The ceiling height was very low in places so I couldn't even sit up in bed. The staff seemed overwhelmed and not really helpful. You have to pay extra for a towel

    I really enjoyed my stay here! It’s in a prime location to walk to everywhere and at night the city is quiet so the walk back from beer street is really pleasant. Showers, beds, and such are clean! The rooms have balconies too and are really quiet for how big of a dorm they are! Also you get a 10% discount for leaving a review so book 1 night and then get a nice chunk of change back 🤙

    I’ll start by saying that after I checked in, I heard that they give a 10% discount for people who leave a 10 star review. Next I’ll say, this place was actually so bad :(. There was trash EVERYWHERE, in the hall ways, on the landings, literally so much trash. The beds were eh and not well maintained. The worst part was the ONE bathroom to an 8 person unit. And the staff were anything but friendly. Yes the location is good, but you can find better & same value, honest hostels in the area.

    If you wonder why there are mostly positive reviews, it is because you get a 10% discount if you write a good review. But they don't correspond to reality. Bathroom stinks and in the room it smells of mold. The blanket, which is without a cover, will certainly not be washed after every check out and if you do not have a linen sheet with you, you have to cover yourself with the blanket without a cover. It is one of the typical sofá blankets you use at home but not in a hostel. Wouldn’t go back

    it is a nice hostel in a good location. more chill, which is what I wanted, and a good breakfast. You can get 10% off your booking if you leave a review. I was asked to leave a review, though, which felt kind of awkward. not bad
