Update: I knew ahead of the noise level, but not an issue for me. They provide ear plugs, and the roommates are courteous. The noise level is due to the natural acoustics, and something that can't be fixed, without a major architectural overhaul. I am not sure if it was bed bugs, or just an allergic reaction. I am about 99% sure it wasn't mosquitoes. But the staff today after reading my feedback, they went out of their ways to swap out the bed and linen with a new mattress and beddings. Super nice and accommodating. They offered different room, but I'm happy with the room and the location. The itching that accompanied in the mornings stopped, after the bedding and bed swap. Not sure, but the hostel responded quickly and super happy. At the end of the day, the staff makes an experience good or bad. This one has been great thus far. A/C in the rooms are really not needed, but each room can be changed to the preference of the resident. It can get really cold, if desired. But avg. temp at night is near 70's or slightly lower.

Pariwana Hostel Lima es la versión Miraflores del party hostel: céntrico, social, ruidoso y armado alrededor de la maquinaria rooftop/bar/eventos. Está justo junto al Parque Kennedy, con restaurantes y tiendas cerca, así que funciona bien como primera base en Lima si quieres tener gente alrededor desde el minuto uno. La parte buena es simple: muchas actividades, un rooftop para juntarse, energía de walking tours, clases y tours, karaoke o noches de partidos, y suficiente impulso fiestero para que quien viaja solo pueda engancharse rápido a un grupo. Los equipos de recepción, bar y eventos pueden ser cálidos y atentos, y el hostel ha tenido estancias muy recientes limpias y amables junto con otras bastante más ásperas. El intercambio no es sutil. Este es un hostel para elegir la fiesta, no un "tal vez duermo temprano antes de mi tour de las 5am". La música del rooftop/bar, el ruido de la calle, las llegadas tarde y las habitaciones con poco aislamiento son parte del trato; dan tapones, pero pueden no ser suficientes. Algunos dormitorios son apretados, calurosos o con olor a humedad, y muchas literas no tienen cortinas, así que la privacidad puede ser más teoría que realidad. Elígelo como base corta, social y fiestera en Miraflores. Sáltalo si necesitas llamadas de trabajo tranquilas, sueño delicado, mucha privacidad o una estancia pulida centrada en instalaciones. La diversión es real; el intercambio también.

- El ruido de la fiesta y de la calle puede seguir después de medianoche y a veces hasta la madrugada; los tapones pueden no ser suficientes.
- Baños, duchas e instalaciones antiguas pueden estar sucios, inundados, ser pequeños o estar deteriorados.
- Los dormitorios pueden ser apretados, calurosos, húmedos y con poca privacidad; muchas literas no tienen cortinas.
- La escena nocturna de bar o fiesta puede incluir hombres externos o locales que hacen sentir inseguras a mujeres; si viajas sola, conviene elegir bien cómo entrar en la escena fiestera.
- Los extras pagados, el guardaequipaje y la ayuda de recepción o tours pueden ser inconsistentes; confirma costos y detalles antes de depender de ellos.
