They all of a sudden wanted money to store my bag, unless I wrote a review. This is the review: Nasty bed bugs. The other guests in the room was noicey, turning on lights, chatting, coming and going until 6 in the morning, listening to their phones, pissing outside the toilet and yeah, what have you. Would not go back.

I strongly do not recommend this hostel. It was the worst I’ve ever stayed in—filthy, with a terrible smell everywhere. I even saw cockroaches and a rat. The environment was unhygienic and poorly maintained. The owner only accepts cash and charges for luggage storage unless you leave a positive review, which explains the good reviews. The smell and conditions were unbearable. Avoid this place at all costs and look for a better option

10/10 value for the money paid
Excellent staff, everyone was friendly, the location is amazing overall 10/10 value for the money paid. It was the first time in a hostel but it opened new possibilities and options for me in the future.

refunds and that was that- never written a bad review
Paid all three nights in cash as all they accept (already shady). Got genuinely 60-70 beg bud bites by staying there one night. Showed the pics to the guy and he said yeah no refunds and that was that- never written a bad review before but would discourage anyone from staying here.

money if you try to cancel. I will happily change this review
We cancelled a booking and this hostel has kept our money. We had booked this hostel without checking reviews, and quickly learned from a lot of sources that they had a bed bug problem. Not wanting to ruin our trip because of something like that, we cancelled on the 20th May 2015, emailed the cancellation to the address the hostel stipulated including the booking reference and giving up our £15 each deposit, which was fine. We ended up staying somewhere else and had a great time in Amsterdam. Yet upon our return on the 2nd June 2015 we found that they had not cancelled the booking and had in fact CHARGED US ANYWAY FOR THE WHOLE AMOUNT. So as well as bed bug infestations they also apparently don't like cancellations and will keep your money if you try to cancel. I will happily change this review if they return the money they are due to us.

Amsterdam Hostel Annemarie è un letto economico centrale dove la posizione fa quasi tutto il pitch di vendita. Le recensioni gli riconoscono qualcosa per essere vicino all'azione, ma la storia ricorrente è fatta di camere strette, operazioni molto cash-heavy e un posto che sembra sotto-gestito. I problemi di fiducia sono la storia più grossa. Gli ospiti segnalano ripetutamente cimici dei letti, sicurezza debole di camere o locker, comportamenti di pagamento a sorpresa, oggetti spariti e donne che si sentono insicure nei dormitori misti.
