Well, after having slept there it appears that several spots grew on my skin in the morning. It began scratching the day I woke up. I don't know for the moment what it can be and i have to check. May be bedbugs ?

Despite its great location, this place is not good value for money in my opinion. It’s a very old house run entirely by volunteers of varying degrees of motivation There is a pungent smell throughout, perhaps due to the old carpets, mold/ rotting wood, leaky toilet. The only way to deal with the bad smell was to keep windows open, despite the cold. There was no hot water the day I arrived, so was told to walk outside and down the street to a different house to shower. Maintenance work/ drilling happening during the day Electrical issues: power goes off if you plug too many things in, hairdryer only works for 10 seconds Bed bugs : someone in the hostel got bed bug bites, luckily it was in a different room than mine Cleanliness: some volunteers did a better cleaning job than others but most days the hygiene was not up to standard (i stayed 8 days) WiFi is spotty in parts of the house. Security: Door to hostel is left unlocked most of the day, no room locks and lockers in the rooms are too small to put a backpack. Window in our room didn’t close and was falling off the hinges.

Analisi dell'atmosfera
Burger il cane fa parte del carattere del posto, dando a questo piccolo ostello di Tromsø una sensazione più calda da casa condivisa quando l'atmosfera scatta. La posizione è la vittoria principale: centrale, vicina alla via principale, fermate bus, tour, un supermercato e il lato waterfront della città. La struttura è basica e compatta, divisa tra due case, con cucine piccole, piccoli spazi comuni, a volte deposito bagagli e riscaldatori elettrici o portatili nelle camere. Il lato sociale può funzionare: c'è un'atmosfera amichevole, internazionale, un po' da appartamento condiviso, più occasionale aiuto con piani per l'aurora boreale o uscite organizzate dall'ostello. Nonostante il nome, le attività non sono sempre attive, quindi prenotalo più come base relativamente economica a Tromsø che come programma sociale garantito. È un ostello in una vecchia casa, ruvido ai bordi. Pulizia, biancheria, materassi, bagni, dimensione delle camere, rumore e disponibilità dello staff possono essere disomogenei, e il prezzo può sembrare alto per le condizioni.

- Le camere possono essere strette, datate, rumorose e con poco spazio per riporre cose o armadietti.
- Bagni, docce, biancheria e cucine possono sembrare usurati o puliti in modo incostante.
- Il parcheggio è limitato e parcheggiare a Tromsø può essere costoso.
- Le attività non sono garantite, anche se il nome dell'ostello lo suggerisce.
