Overall really enjoyed my stay at Global Village. It was clean and great value for money. The best hostel I've stayed in. Brilliant location. Staff were a bit standoffish with the exception of Jesse, who was kind and welcoming. That being said, they all worked hard to keep the kitchen immaculately clean, which was appreciated. Breakfast was a welcome surprise and lovely. Bed was comfy and clean, and the showers were adequate. Personal preference I was disappointed people from other local hostels were able to access the building, particularly as they had bedbugs in their hostel and could have been transferring them to the lovely Global Village. I also did not think the accommodation was suitable for families, simpl as having two young (loud) children around was not desirable. Final thing I will say is that I originally booked a female only dorm to be informed that the website had made an error ('a glitch') and I was relocated into a mixed dorm. Not the end of the world as the other tennents were lovely, but I struggled to settle my anxiety as they arrived back at various times. Despite these minor opinions I will definitely consider returning, if I am ever in Belfast solo.

La cucina 24 ore è il pezzo utile qui: riso e pasta gratis possono essere disponibili, con tè, caffè, cioccolata calda e una colazione basic di toast, cereali, marmellata o simili. Le aree comuni possono sembrare cosy e socievoli, con tavoli da gioco, Xbox, zona seduta e abbastanza attrezzatura cucina per cucinare, quindi Global Village funziona meglio come base economica a Belfast con un ritmo backpacker DIY. La posizione è una chiamata divisa. Può essere comoda per il university quarter, bar, ristoranti, Botanic Garden, bus route e una camminata verso il centro, ma le strade intorno possono sembrare sketchy dopo il buio e la camminata al centro non è ugualmente comoda per tutti. Lo staff può essere friendly e disponibile, e l’atmosfera può essere rilassata, sociale e giovane. L’edificio è il tradeoff. Le camere sono basic, a volte minuscole, calde, fredde, soffocanti, luminose o rumorose, e biancheria, armadietti, luci letto e prese possono essere consumati o inaffidabili. Bagni e docce sono un punto debole ricorrente: toilette limitate, lunghe scale dai piani alti, problemi di pulizia, muffa, pressione debole, acqua fredda e serrature rotte sono tutte possibilità reali. È più caos rough-budget che comfort polished.

- La pulizia può essere ruvida, soprattutto bagni, docce, biancheria, moquette e superfici della cucina.
- I bagni possono essere lontani dalle stanze alte, pochi, freddi, ammuffiti o senza serrature, sapone o carta igienica funzionanti.
- Le camere possono essere strette, rumorose, poco ventilate, troppo luminose, troppo calde o troppo fredde.
- La manutenzione è irregolare: armadietti, prese, luci delle cuccette, docce, riscaldamento o acqua calda rotti sono possibili.
- La zona può sembrare scomoda dopo il buio, soprattutto per arrivi in solitaria.
- Il servizio può essere incostante su assegnazione letti, problemi notturni, comunicazione e regole di casa.
