It’s a good option besides the fact that they have BEDBUGS atm! So be aware of that fact, personally I would not book a stay right now!

Lovely place with basic amenities. Really kind staff and good location. Only negative is that there were bugs on the bed (possibly bed bugs?)

Très bon séjour a 3little Birds ! L'emplacement est idéal. À quelques minutes du centre et des zones touristiques. Différents restaurants locaux se trouvent dans la même rue. De même que plusieurs petits supermarchés. L'auberge est idéal pour être au calme. Elle est très bien équipée et cela fait toujours plaisir de retrouver une cuisine fonctionnelle pour se cuisiner quelques plats. Encore plus lorsque ces zones sont propres et nettoyées régulièrement. BEDBUGS ! I stayed there 2 nights, I had to cancel my last night cause I was the buffet of bedbugs. so many I could see them and kill them on my bedsheets, couldn't sleep for 2 nights. the staff took is seriously tho but the place would need to shut down for a few weeks in order to treat the place, unfortunately I saw it's still possible to book nights on the dorms (both are infested). the volunteers were awesome and the owner as well

Had a nice time here but heard there are better hostels around. There is not much going on here at all if you like that. You have full use of the kitchen which is great. Other than that, you get what you pay for. No curtains on the beds is a bummer. The owner was rarely around, the Brazilian volunteer helped me out most with anything I needed and she arrived only the day after me. She was fantastic. I did see the girls in the other dorm downstairs had bed bugs even after an apparent fumigation.

A great location, extremely affordable, and obviously many travelers have really enjoyed their stay- but unfortunately multiple people were bitten by bedbugs while I was there :( I wish them all the best in sorting it out.

the hostel was nice in a lot of ways but I unfortunately found a bedbug on my things while I was there. another guest in another dorm was bitten many times during the night (feb 17). the issue has been around since at least mid-february and i found a live bedbug in the upstairs dorm on Feb 18. be mindful of this if you choose to stay here.

Le biciclette gratuite rendono Three Little Birds Home particolarmente utile per Melaka: Jonker Street, ristoranti, caffè, la zona del fiume e i principali luoghi di interesse sono già percorribili a piedi, e le biciclette aggiungono un modo facile per girare più lontano in città. Sono gratuiti, anche se alcuni possono essere vecchi o fuori uso, quindi vale la pena controllare quali sono utilizzabili prima di partire. L'ostello ha un'atmosfera rilassata e accogliente piuttosto che un'allestimento di hotel lucido. Sharom e i volontari possono essere cordiali e pratici, con piccoli tocchi utili come caffè, tè, acqua, snack, mance locali, uscite condivise a mercati notturni o bar e occasionalmente aiuto con il trasporto. E' adatto ai viaggiatori economici che vogliono una base tranquilla vicino al centro con un po' di vita sociale, non un ostello rumoroso. Le strutture sono semplici: una cucina condivisa, spazi interni ed esterni, un piccolo giardino o un'area asfaltata, armadietti, lavanderia e lavastoviglie a pagamento. Alcuni letti e stanze sono comodi e puliti, ma l'edificio è più vecchio e irregolare; bagni, sistema di raffreddamento, biancheria da letto, privacy e manutenzione possono variare molto da stanza a stanza.
Segnali da controllare
- I bagni possono essere piccoli, vecchi, umidi o imbarazzanti, con occasionalmente bassa pressione dell'acqua, odori o problemi di pulizia.
- I letti dei dormitori possono non avere tende per la privacy, e in alcune camere si usano materassi a pavimento o lenzuola di base.
- L'aria condizionata e il raffreddamento possono essere incoerenti; controllate l'aria condizionata del dormitorio femminile prima di dormire lì, poiché un odore chimico era una seria preoccupazione per la sicurezza nel 2025.
- Le cimici sono state un problema nel 2024 e 2025, quindi controlla le condizioni attuali prima di prenotare.
- Il check-in e l'arrivo tardivo sono andati male in passato; confermate chiaramente l'orario se arrivate fuori dagli orari normali.
- I gatti possono essere presenti, il che è importante per le allergie.
