My experience was negatively impacted due to bed bugs that bit one side of my body. I showed these to the folks at reception who told me I was mistaken that 100+ red bite marks were mosquito related. Didn't appreciate that at all!

I can't recommend it. Someone went to our room twice during the same day when we were out of the room and they left the lock open. A hundred dollars was stolen from my wallet. That was on our second day and we had booked 8 nights... so that was it what comes to the feeling of being safe, appreciated, welcome and respected. The manager offered us some upgrades as a compensation but this really felt so bad and partly ruined my trip. It was a disgusting thing to do! Pros: - nice pool area and a bar with food and drinks with good prices - free transport from the airport and to the falls - delicious mangos everywhere - manager offered some compensation after the theft Cons: - spiders, mosquitos and lizards in the room. - we got bitten, probably bedbugs - rooms are not safe - the attitude of the staff is not purely heavenly customer service

Il pickup gratuito dall'aeroporto e la navetta mattutina per Victoria Falls sono la mossa pratica forte al Jollyboys Backpackers. Rendono Livingstone piu facile dal giorno uno, con le Cascate, il centro, il supermercato, il museo e le gite transfrontaliere tutte dentro un'orbita abbastanza gestibile. E un ostello sociale e pieno di attivita, con piscina, bar, ristorante, grandi zone chill e un calendario stabile di cose come beer pong, braai night, cena gratuita, paint and sip ed eventi serali. La reception puo aiutare a organizzare i classici attorno a Victoria Falls e oltre: passeggiate con rinoceronti, gite a Chobe, crociere sullo Zambezi, rafting, bungee jumping, equitazione, safari, kayak e rotte verso Zimbabwe, Botswana o Namibia. Stanze e bagni sono di solito puliti e comodi, con AC in molte camere e docce solide nei setup migliori. La vibe tende al rilassato di giorno e piu vivace di notte, con abbastanza angoli per sdraiarsi, cucinare, rinfrescarsi in piscina o trovare la propria crew di viaggio senza trasformare tutto il posto in una gigantesca macchina da party.
Segnali da controllare
- Il WiFi puo essere irregolare e spesso funziona meglio nelle aree comuni, non nei dormitori o nelle stanze piu lontane.
- Il cibo puo metterci un po', e i pagamenti al bar o ristorante possono essere solo in contanti.
- La cucina e utile ma puo sembrare vecchia, basic o poco attrezzata quando l'ostello e pieno.
- Il rumore puo essere un problema attorno al bar o nelle serate evento, soprattutto per chi dorme presto.
- Zanzare, zanzariere mancanti, biancheria usurata e manutenzione irregolare compaiono in abbastanza stanze da meritare un controllo prima di sistemarsi.
- Alcune stanze private ed estensioni dirette possono sembrare troppo care rispetto ad altre opzioni a Livingstone.
