⭐️45일 후 추가의견⭐️ BEDBUGS 베드버그가 맞는 듯 한달이 지난 지금 벌레에 며칠에 한번씩 물리며 고생 중 😩 물린 상처로 보아 베드버그 맞는 것 같고 또 다시 집안 방역&빨래 지옥😱🤬😡 🖤공익을 위한 3주 후 추가 의견🖤 베드버그인지 뭔지 모를 그 벌레가 캐리어에 옮겨왔나 봄🥺 충전기 등 들어있던 따로 비닐에 담아뒀던 짐들 중 하나를 오픈한 후 내 침대에서도 물리기 시작함😭 매일 스팀청소기로 소독과 고온 빨래 세탁 건조 중😣 D-13방 D번 침대를 조심하세요❗️ 침대 나무 프레임 사이는 벌레가 숨기 좋은 곳입니다 방이 전체적으로 소독될 필요가 있습니다 ------- 매우청결 위치좋음 스탭친절 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 도미토리 8인실 2박 예약했고 침대에 누운 지 얼마 안 돼서 뭔지 모를 벌레에 팔 다리 허벅지 3번 물림 방콕, 발리, 시드니에서 각각 세 번이나 베드버그에 물려서 피부 상처에 빨래,건조에 갖고 있던 짐을 버려서 여행을 망친 경험이 있기 때문에 이번에도 그럴까봐 패닉옴 밤 12시에 리셉션에서 가서 설명하면서 도저히 못 자겠다고 얘기하니까 도미토리는 풀북이라서 더블룸으로 바꿔줌 샤워 다시 하고 갖고 있던 물건 물로 씻어내고 비닐에 싸느라 새벽 2시에 잤지만 다행히도 베드버그는 아니었던 것 같음 다음날 더블룸 체크아웃 후 다른 도미토리 룸으로 변경했지만 동일한 문제 없었고 편안하게 푹 쉬고 잘 잠 베드버그였더라도 바로 이전 손님이 옮겨온 걸 수도 있기 때문에 호스텔 책임이 아니라는 건 알고 있음 매우 청결하게 관리되고 있어서 믿음이 갔고, 그 늦은 새벽 시간에도 곧바로 방을 바꿔주는 친절하고 적절한 조치로 인해서 혹시 베그버그일지 모른다는 불안감을 줄이고 푹 쉴 수 있게 대처해줘서 좋았음 재방문 의사 충분함👍

Oftentimes, online photos can be misleading but when I got to the hostel, it was really beautiful just like in the photos. There's always someone in the reception to attend to guest queries and the staff are very professional. They have a "mini-mart" where you can buy some drinks, chips, noodles, etc. (there is also a 7-11 right around the corner if you want more options) It's a co-working hostel so if you're on a "workcation", there's ample space for you to get your work done. They have a huge lounge and working area plus a cafe and they host different activities everyday. The kitchen is well-equipped, like you can literally find anything you need for cooking or reheating your food. I like how they provide a healthy breakfast - there's always a side of salad and fruits with whatever they're serving for the day. The amount (for me) is just right - enough to get you thru to lunch but also not too much or heavy that you feel sluggish after eating. They're approximately 5 minutes away from Taipei Main Station and there are some bus stops nearby so getting around the city is very convenient. The surrounding areas are well-lit and I never had any issues walking alone at night as a solo traveler. The 8-bed dorm I stayed at shares a common bathroom (2 showers and 2 toilets) with another dorm but in my week-long stay, it never felt crowded and I never had to queue up if I need to use either one of those facilities. They have thick mattresses with matching thick duvets so you can get a really good sleep after a long tiring day of exploring the city (no bed bugs too!) They have a great system in keeping the hostel clean - you need to change into sleepers (provided) before entering the main lounge, only water is allowed inside the rooms, they have several bins for proper garbage/waste segregation and I would see housekeeping staff cleaning up during random times of the day (not just during check-out time). This isn't really a con for me but more of an observation, although it is a co-working hostel and they have different activities, everyday, the place doesn't have a very "social feel' to it. Even if there's music or a movie playing or guests hanging out at the common areas, it still has a quiet vibe - which can be great or not, depending on what you're looking for in a hostel.

I liked my stay here. I wanted to like my stay here, and I would have given it five stars if not for the ants. Everything was perfect, including the free breakfast, the awesome lounge, clean bathroom, great water pressure, and the awesome comfy bed, EXCEPT for the fact that the first room I was assigned to sorely damaged my first impression of Star Hostel. I found five ants on the bed and two mosquitos flying around the ceiling - the two worst nightmares you can find in a bedroom (almost as bad as bedbugs for me). The room was also dusty and definitely did not seem like they took much care of it. Fortunately they changed my room immediately, but to find out that ants came out in their rooms once in a month or so sort of horrified me. The new room I got was much better, both location- and arrangement-wise. However although I was thankful, I could not help but be paranoid throughout my whole stay. I really wanted to enjoy the soft, clean bed, but every itch I felt while I slept felt like an ant crawling or biting. Thankfully I did not find any ants in my new room until my check-out date, but I very much wish I had never found those ants or else my stay would have been so much better, with no nightmares of ants in my bed. Warning - if you are a light sleeper, be prepared for the non-soundproof walls. Even if your neighbors are quiet, you can hear the sound of water turning on, and the door closing and opening very, VERY clearly. I kept waking up at those noises because they were unexpectedly loud and felt much closer than they really were.

La parte più importante è l'area comune: un salone con soffitto alto e legno, con molta luce naturale e molti posti a sedere. È davvero bello sedersi, e alcune persone lo trovano così comodo che sono tentate di abbandonare il loro itinerario e semplicemente restare in giro. C'è anche una cucina self-service e una mappa murale che segna i luoghi popolari e come raggiungerli. La posizione e' la migliore. L'edificio si trova proprio vicino alla stazione principale di Taipei, collegato attraverso il centro commerciale della città sotterraneo (l'uscita Y13 ti mette a pochi minuti di distanza), con molti ristoranti locali e un 7-11 nelle vicinanze. La proprietà e' al piano superiore, quindi prendi l'ascensore per registrarti. La colazione gratuita è inclusa, anche se funziona su un sistema in cui si sceglie un intervallo orario in anticipo, il menu è fissato con poca o nessuna scelta, le porzioni possono essere piccole e in alcuni giorni i piatti arrivano tiepidi o freddi. Il posto è pulito, elegante e tranquillo, ma è molto tranquillo e non molto socievole. Ci si aspetta molte famiglie e viaggiatori più anziani e poche possibilità di incontrare persone, quindi i viaggiatori da soli che sperano in un'atmosfera di festa potrebbero sentirsi delusi. Le scarpe si tolgono all'ingresso e si mettono nelle stanze, e si passano alle pantofole fornite, che alcuni trovano non igieniche poiché sono state indossate da altri. Sono disponibili lavatrici e asciugatrici a pagamento, con lavanderia sul tetto. Le stanze sono il punto debole. I dormitori sono stretti e tipici di Taipei, con poco spazio per sbarazzarsi di una valigia e armadietti che si adattano solo a un piccolo bagaglio da mano. L'isolamento acustico è scarso in tutto il luogo, sia nei dormitori che nelle stanze private; si possono chiaramente sentire i vicini russare, fare la doccia, tossire e lavare la bocca, e chi dorme leggermente spesso ha difficoltà. Alcune camere private hanno un bagno con pareti di vetro, che offre poca privacy e può far soffocare la stanza. Le docce e i servizi igienici possono essere troppo pochi per il numero di letti, portando a code e a volte il drenaggio è lento. Le esperienze dello staff sono incoerenti. Molti li trovano amichevoli e utili, ma altri si trovano in un trattamento freddo, rigido o poco accogliente, soprattutto per le regole severe come il check-in delle ore 15:00 senza alcuna flessibilità per gli arrivi anticipati.
Segnali da controllare
- La mala insonorizzazione sia nei dormitori che nelle stanze private; chi dorme leggero può avere difficoltà a riposare e le notti nei dormitori possono essere disturbate da altri ospiti.
- La ventilazione in alcune stanze è debole o, in alcuni casi, è stata lasciata spenta, lasciando l'aria soffocata; un paio di persone hanno collegato questo a essere gravemente malati.
- La colazione richiede di prenotare un orario in anticipo, ha poca o nessuna scelta di cibo, può essere piccola e a volte viene servita fredda.
- I dormitori sono stretti e hanno poco spazio per i bagagli, e gli armadieni si adattano solo a piccoli bagagli a mano.
- Le docce e i servizi igienici possono essere troppo pochi per il numero di letti, causando code e un lento drenaggio.
- La pulizia è generalmente buona ma non perfetta; i peli rimasti nelle docce e sui letti sono apparsi più di una volta, e ci sono stati casi isolati di formiche, zanzare o insetti sospetti.
- Il servizio del personale è irregolare, da caldo e disponibile a freddo e rigido, con una rigorosa applicazione di regole come il check-in alle 15:00.
- L'atmosfera è tranquilla e tranquilla piuttosto che sociale, con molte famiglie e viaggiatori più anziani.
