The staff at this hostel were friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout my stay. Unfortunately, the property itself has significant hygiene and maintenance issues that made for an uncomfortable stay. The beds and pillows were infested with bed bugs, which resulted in bites covering my body during my visit. The mattresses appear to be very old and haven't been replaced in what seems like years, contributing to the overall unsanitary conditions. The bathrooms were consistently difficult to keep clean, suggesting ongoing maintenance problems rather than just temporary issues. Despite the staff's best efforts, the infrastructure seems to need serious attention. If you're traveling on an extremely tight budget and have very limited options, this place might serve as basic shelter. However, if you can afford to spend even a little more, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. The bed bug situation alone makes it worth paying extra for a cleaner, better-maintained accommodation. The staff really do try their best with what they have to work with, but the property needs significant investment in cleaning, pest control, and basic maintenance to provide a decent guest experience.

It was an okay location. Not much around to eat, only a McDonalds and a Papa Johns Pizza within a 10/15 minute walk. There is also a 7/11 further up the street! There was a cute little coffee shop over the road but that’s about it. Public transport is reasonable, there are a few bus stops near by! The property it’s self was average, the pictures are false advertising and need updating. Had a code to access the door with a flight of stairs to upper level. Reception was there on entry. Staff are friendly, especially Stefanie. The room was quite spacious and lockers were helpful. The breakfast was standard, just cereal or fruit! There was a fridge, microwave and sink in the kitchen — very small! There are 4 bathrooms across the entire hostel. Can leave lugggae in hallway if needed on checkout as it’s at 10am and I had a late flight home, so that was good. They give you free laundry detergent, you just need $5 in coins, $2.50 for both washer and dryer :) My room was for 6, it was full on most nights. One of the lower beds, was infested with bed bugs — the girl had to switch rooms. The beds are also very squeaky and shake a lot, even with slight movement. The floors and walls weren’t clean, neither the bathrooms, hair and mould all over along with lots of dust! The AC didn’t work so windows were left open which was noisy at times with traffic and helicopters/planes. Toilets are down the hall, making it awkward to go to during the night! There wasn’t much choice for breakfast, and there were no activities organised.
