This Ho(s)tel

The rooms are super small that there are no space to turn around, they are using a roll of toilet paper to keep the windows open as they don't work otherwise. But the worst of all is that there were visible stains on the walls and pillows were yellow when the pillowcases were removed, and something bit me in several locations on my body, is it a spider or bed bugs or who knows what, we will not know, but it got so inflamed that I had to go to the gp to get some treatment once I came back home.

Bed bugs got eaten alive very stressful

There bathroom could do with a deep clean as the tiles was a bit mouldy

We had asked for a double bed and got two singles. Not a huge deal but worth a mention! Not accessible for anyone unable to climb steep steps.

BEDBUGS! Just sayin! Dont even think about staying here. The noice was expected but the mere shittyness with a bed full of bugs that was eating away on you during the night was above disgusting!

I cant sleep because there are lot of bed-bugs in the room ….its disgusting

Bedbugs

A bit annoying the bed mattresses do slip off the base. Could be loud if you stay on the weekends. We expected some noise given the area of Amsterdam and stayed on a Monday night so it wasn’t really a problem for us.

Heel kleine kamer waar je amper je koffer kan zetten en kan bewegen. Badkamer ook heel klein. Raam kan maar een beetje open. Kamer aan de straatkant in een drukke uitgaansbuurt. Veel lawaai. Niet hygiënisch, handdoeken en beddengoed roken absoluut niet fris. In bed zaten bedwantsen (bedbugs), verschrikkelijk! Geen lift. Oud gebouw. En dat voor zo veel geld?

However, being that in the humidity of the dutch summer some aircon in the hallway would be nice, as when rooms are spread out over 4 floors it would be nice not to get to the room drenched in your own sweat. Saying that fans were available in the rooms and that helped. Perhaps putting in the advertising that there is no elevator and to highlight this might help others. One other item which left me with some fear was that even though I checked the room, bedding, mattress etc very thoroughly, I did come across at least one bed bug the following morning, crawling along the wall. So there is something to be looked into. As well as the mattress protector was non-existent, just a few minor things that can make the stay a little more pleasant. I am aware with a high turnover rate in customers, that bed-bugs can happen, but it can also break a business.

Worse disgusting hotel I have EVER stayed in! I woke up in the middle of the night with bed bugs bites.
