   2026/4/8 updated. On the date I wrote this review, hotel reply my email VERY SOON. However, the refund procedure still hasn’t been completed yet. And I still waiting for the reply since I reach the hotel last time.(2026/3/10) The process speed is crazy lol - This hotel charge me 4 extra times for city tax due to their “credit card machine” and “connection issue”. I require for the refund but they ignore me and didn’t refund me until now. I stayed in the hotel 2025 July, they take over half year to handle refund issue and not finish yet!    First, you’re made to wait in a long queue for half an hour to check in. Even if you can make it to the reception, even after 3pm, the check-in time, the receptionist would say the room is not ready. In the end I waited for nearly two hours for the room to be ready. I told the receptionist that I have waited for two hours but she was laughing and said, “I was looking for you!” How stupid! I was very furious at that time and wanted to tell them that the service here is absolutely terrible but she keeps talking with another customer. Also, you need to PAY FOR BED LINEN! What a joke. For those who gave this hostel five stars, do they have a brain? I really hope they go out of business immediately. I highly recommend this hostel if you want to ruin your stay in Salzburg from the beginning.

   The room was clean, pretty old but ok for one-night stay. Of course, for no more. I was absolutely disappointed by the treatment I received during my early check-out. During check-in, I was told that I should live my key-card in a box located behind the reception desk. Next morning, Sept 6 at 6 AM I went down to do that and met a man in regular clothes standing there. Thinking that he’s a tourist too, I went straight to that box to leave my card there. But it turned to be a manager who came to begin his shift. After a couple of seconds of silence from him, he started to telling me off about not having the right to come in and repeating to stay behind the desk. I did it immediately and brought my apologizes, explaining that the manager pointed me yesterday on the box behind the desk, that’s why I mistakenly thought that I should go straight there. But this manager just continued telling me off like a little kid or a mentally challenged person, paying no attention at all to what I was saying. That’s really unbelievable that such kind of toxic and unprofessional people work in hospitality. I realize that sadly it’s not the Wyndham Grand or Hotel Bristol but, anyway, that’s absolutely inappropriate in terms of communication and behavior from guest relations staff. The funniest thing here is that I was asked to leave positive review during the check-in but now I have no idea about what kind of positive reviews we can talk about with such horrible attitude – when ones can't normally explain the procedures and others are unacceptably boorish and rude.

   I had so many issues staying at this hostel. As a young solo traveller I usually go to hostels for a cheaper more social option. This place is full of large school groups who used the whole common areas and were constantly running up and down hallways and being very loud throughout the night, also taking up lots of space in the morning making it hard to leave. These groups are clearly a priority to staff, when I asked to store my bag as their lockers were out of order I was told that they only store bags for the large school groups and I would have to go to the train station (where u would have to pay a large fee) - after asking again saying it would only be about 4hrs I was told they would only if I left a good review for them, so here is my real review! The beds were also completely different to what was advertised. On HostelWorld is shows colourful bunks but when I arrived it was plain bunks which were nice except there were two sets of bunks and two single beds that were right next to each other (practically touching as seen in photo). I was assigned on of these beds but want going to sleep that close to a stranger, I understand hostels are sharing with strangers but I am a 21y/o girl and the other bed was a 50+y/o man and I don’t think that is appropriate, when I spoke to staff they did happily move me. The hostel is very close to the station which is convenient for day trips but far from the main town, but can get there in a 30min walk or get a bus from outside the hostel. Overall I would look for other options if you’re looking for a social hostel and not a hotel full of children.

    酒店地理位置特别好，离火车站5分钟左右，火车站里有个大超市购物也方便，公共交通多，外出游玩也方便。还让我们提前入住了。
