I had a very terrible stay at this hostel. i could careless about the whole renovation things, i spend the night in the kitchen on the chairs the dorms are infested with bedbugs big time there everywhere. theirs should shut down temporarily and deal with the matter ASAP... this is serious my body still bruised and itchy from the ordeal I've spend the night killing bedbugs dozens at the time from the wall to the bed frame and mattress there was blood all over the sheet 🦠🪳🤒

Avoid this hostel! Poor hygiene, damaged facilities, ongoing construction work and serious cleanliness concerns, including suspected bed bugs. The worst part was getting my £20 deposit back. My messages were repeatedly ignored, promises were broken, and I only received my refund after numerous complaints and threats to escalate the matter to Hostelworld. Extremely unprofessional management and unacceptable treatment of guests. I would never stay here again. Strongly NOT recommended!

I really liked the location and the way the staff welcomed me. Eventhough the works are ongoing, they do their best to keep the property clean I didn't like the fact that there were bedbugs in my room

Great location, friendly staff, kitchen and cooking facilities available. Room is infested with bed bugs. My arms and legs look like pin cushions. Room has too many beds pushed next to each other. I wish I could be more positive as all else is great but they need to get the male dorm sprayed with insecticide.

How the people in my room hated the guy who served me . Everything, the manager or the guy who works there, so ignorant and arrogant, talks very condescending to me and others, such a poor behaviour middle age man, even I have better manner than him. I also got bed bugs.

R S Hostels is een heel centrale Leeds crash pad dicht bij het treinstation, city centre, busverbindingen en nabijgelegen venues. Het werkt het best als goedkope, korte stop wanneer locatie belangrijker is dan polish. De basic setup kan een schoon bed, coded entry, een kleine keuken en simpel gratis eten zoals toast, cereal, melk, thee en koffie bevatten, soms ook buiten ontbijturen beschikbaar. De plek zit nog in zware renovatiemodus, en dat vormt het hele verblijf. Delen van het gebouw kunnen onaf voelen, met bouwmaterialen, kale oppervlakken, trappen of bovenverdiepingen waar nog aan gewerkt wordt, en foto’s kunnen meer af lijken dan de huidige realiteit. De keuken is een van de nuttigere delen van het hostel: klein, functioneel en gevuld met simpele self-service ontbijtbasis. Personeel kan heel hands-on en behulpzaam zijn, vooral met late aankomsten, kamerwissels, lokale praat en de plek draaiend houden, al zijn service en communicatie inconsistent. Badkamers zijn het grootste frictiepunt. Toiletten en douches kunnen op een andere verdieping dan de kamers zijn, de cabines zijn erg krap, douches kunnen onhandige drukknopsetups zijn, en haakjes of plankjes missen vaak. Dorms kunnen krap voelen, met beperkte opslag, geen lockers, weinig stopcontacten bij bedden, geen privacygordijnen en variabele temperatuur of airflow.
Signalen om te checken
- Lopende renovatie is een echt onderdeel van de ervaring, geen klein cosmetisch issue.
- Badkamers en douches kunnen krap, boven, onaf of onhandig in gebruik zijn.
- Dormopslag is beperkt, en lockers zijn mogelijk niet beschikbaar.
- Schoonmaak, beddengoed, personeelscommunicatie en check-in betrouwbaarheid zijn inconsistent.
- Het hostel past meer bij een budgetovernachting bij Leeds station dan bij een sociale backpackerbasis.
