There was a bedbug and even though I told this to stuff they just took a note and didn’t even said sorry that this to happened to you and I wasn’t only person that got bitten by bedbugs there…

pior experiência que passei na vida, o hostel estava infestado com percevejos (bicho de cama), reclamei na booking para me trocar de hostel e não me ressarciram e nem me trocaram de hostel, eles trocavam os clientes de quarto mas todos os quartos estavam infestados, o hostel não quis cancelar minha reserva e devolver meu dinheiro, muitos clientes foram embora, o ar condicionado do meu quarto estava quebrado e eles não arrumaram durante os quatro dias que eu estava por lá e não tinha como trocar de quarto por conta que os quartos estavam cheio de bichos. a limpeza do hostel é horrível, os tapetes do banheiro sujos ficaram dias sem trocar, e eles não limpam o chão e nem trocam as roupas de cama. The worst experience I've ever had. The hostel was infested with bed bugs. I complained to Booking.com to change hostels, but they didn't reimburse me or change my room. They moved guests to different rooms, but all the rooms were infested. The hostel refused to cancel my reservation and refund my money. Many guests left. The air conditioning in my room was broken, and they didn't fix it during the four days I was there. I couldn't change rooms because they were full of bugs. The hostel's cleanliness is awful; the dirty bathroom mats weren't changed for days, and they don't clean the floors or change the bed linens. La peggiore esperienza che abbia mai avuto. L'ostello era infestato dalle cimici dei letti. Ho reclamato con Booking.com per cambiare ostello, ma non mi hanno rimborsato né mi hanno cambiato la stanza. Hanno spostato gli ospiti in altre stanze, ma anche queste erano infestate. L'ostello si è rifiutato di cancellare la mia prenotazione e di rimborsarmi. Molti ospiti se ne sono andati. L'aria condizionata nella mia stanza era rotta e non l'hanno riparata durante i quattro giorni del mio soggiorno. Non ho potuto cambiare stanza perché erano piene di cimici.

The room I stayed in smelled, it was extremely dirty, and most of the stuff was not working, including lights and AC. The hostel staff knew there was a horrendous bedbug situation and were still accepting people and not telling them about it. Only got like 15 euros back when I requested a refund. For the most expensive hostel I’ve stayed in, it was by far the worst one. A total scam. I was gonna stay for 4 nights and I stayed for about an hour and that was enough to convince me to spend more money to get a hotel. I heard terrible stories about how people were being treated and what they had to go through here.

I strongly advise avoiding this hostel. On my first night, after taking a shower and going to bed, I woke up covered in itchy welts. I then found and killed three bed bugs in my bed. I immediately informed the staff and asked to move to another bed or room. I was told that there were no available beds except in female dormitories. As a result, I spent the entire night sleeping in a chair in the common area instead of in the bed I had paid for. No alternative solution, compensation, or even something as simple as a complimentary breakfast was offered. The next morning, in a café next to the hostel, I met another traveler who also had numerous bites that looked exactly like mine. This is clearly not an isolated incident. If you read previous reviews, you will see that other guests have also reported bed bugs here. I hope the management finally takes this problem seriously and arranges proper professional pest treatment. Until then, I cannot recommend staying here.

I booked and was charged for a 4 beds bedroom and they sent me to an 8 beds bedroom. No intention of making it right at all. On top of everything, this hostel is completely infested with bed bugs. Several guests from different rooms has the same problem. We made several reports providing proofs, even though booking and they did absolutely NOTHING. I had to pay for another hostel because the one and only night I spent at this place was absolutely HORRIBLE. Avoid this hostel at all costs... Some staff member told us they have a type of attic completely infested top to bottom with bed bugs... The owners are aware and they will do absolutely NOTHING to fix it nor to compensate guests. Same with booking. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

The kitchen it s only for staff(in check in receptionist told me that), i w did not have a problem with bed bugs... but i saw in two days 15 pople with pain,marks going to doctors... so it s a really bad... toilet its clean only one time ... and the cleaning was not god... almost never toilet paper.and the hostel put their staff to sleep with tourist in dormitory... and afcourse after night shift or day shift they need to rest... and they dark everything and ask for not talking ...

The room had an ACTIVE BED BUG INFESTATION. I woke up with around ten bed bugs crawling on my body and had to kill them myself. There were bites all over me, and blood stains on the sheets and walls. Other guests in the room were bitten too. I have video and photo evidence of all of it. The worst part is that the hostel KNEW. Reception admitted to me that they would not move me to another room specifically because they did not want to spread the infestation elsewhere in the property. They relocated one guest, and knowingly left me and another guest in the infested room. They chose to protect the rest of the hostel and sacrifice us. I could not sleep for two nights. I ended up trying to sleep on the floor, away from the beds, and the bed bugs still came onto me. I asked repeatedly to be moved or refunded, and I was simply ignored. This is not a cleanliness complaint. It is a health hazard. Bed bugs cause bites, skin reactions, and infections, and they spread rapidly. Every guest leaving this hostel risks carrying eggs in their luggage to their next accommodation, their next city, and their own home. The eggs are nearly impossible to detect and hatch days later. This hostel is actively exporting an infestation across Europe and doing nothing about it. The room was also filthy on arrival, the bathroom had no basic supplies, and I was placed in an 8-bed dorm despite booking a 4-bed room. To anyone considering this place: DO NOT STAY HERE. This is a real, ongoing health risk, and management is fully aware and refuses to act.

- The number of beds didn’t match what was advertised, as a result there also weren’t enough lockers for people in the room ( 4 lockers, 5 beds ). - There were bed bugs! I initially thought they were beetles/bugs climbing the wall, but then found one running around next to me in bed. Squashed one and it was full of blood, pretty hard to deny it at that point 😖 - Check in process was overly complicated and time consuming, especially not helped by non-English speaking ( or very minimally speaking) staff. Can’t fault them for that and obviously my Italian is terrible which didn’t help, but given maybe half the people I saw check in were speaking English it was just an extra layer of difficulty for guests and staff. - Power outlet closest to my bed was hanging out of the wall, front plates removed on most of them in the room, seemed quite unsafe. - Bathroom smelled ( fine if it had been someone in the toilet, but this was from shower pipes). - Bathroom locks were incredibly difficult to lock, often would open by themselves. - Reception staff were unsurprised when I told them I was checking out and requested a refund. Was given management email, asked where I would go now, and left to head out on my way to an AirBnb.

Ich habe schon echt in vielen Ländern in einem Hostel geschlafen, aber hiervon war ich dann doch mal wieder enttäuscht. Man bucht extra eins, welches mit einer Klimaanlage wirbt, die aber ein totaler Reinfall ist. Man hört sie zwar, aber es passiert absolut gar nichts. Selbst über mehrere Stunden hinweg. Da hilft es nur das Fenster weit aufzureißen, nur um dann trotzdem zu schwitzen. Die Räume sind auch recht eng, sodass die einzelnen Betten sehr nah aneinander stehen. Ein wenig ungewohnt und für viele wahrscheinlich zu nah. Mein gebuchtes 8 Mann Zimmer gab es nicht, sodass ich in ein Dreibettzimmer gesteckt wurde. Klar, besser, weil weniger Leute, aber so ein Zimmer hat keine Schließfächer und das ist dann schon wieder ärgerlich. Zudem gibt es auch keine Vorhängeschlösser zu kaufen. Das wäre ein Artikel den jedes Hostel in seinen Automaten haben sollte, genauso wie Hygieneprodukte usw. Der Co-Working space lädt zu allem ein, außer zum co-worken. Der Keller mit seinem Neonlicht ist definitiv nicht gerade gemütlich. Der Rezeptionist aus Paraguay war aber sehr nett. Konnte jedoch auch nicht viel machen. Es wäre alles halb so schlimm, wenn die Klimaanlage gehen würde. Ein anderes 5-Mann Zimmer mit Schließfächern was mir dann angeboten wurde war aber geruchsintensiv und die Klimaanlage funktionierte dort auch nicht. Zudem habe ich Stiche am Körper. Ob es bedbugs sind oder eine Mücke (nie eine gesehen oder gehört) weiß ich nicht.

IT HAS BED BUGS!! A 100% confirmed. Also bathrooms were extremely dirty, full of hair in the shower. Many door knobs didn't work, among other things that it's clear that have been broken for months. No soup for the hands. Not well located.

Stayed here for 5 nights. Staff were helpful and kind. Here is the bad part 1. You need to bring your own lock for the lockers, otherwise its just open so i couldn't safely store my belongings anywhere. 2. I got bit all over my body by bed bugs Every Single NIGHT. 3. Windows are sealed shut and there was just one air conditioner which definitely didn't help the smell. 4. Restrooms were just a mess. No trash can, No soap, i couldn't even fully close the door. 5. People staying here definitely aren't the cleanest. Socks on the window handles, piles of dirty, smelly clothing in the corners of the room. Also important to mention, my room looked nothing like the first few pictures.

SCONSIGLIO ASSOLUTAMENTE!!!È invaso da cimici da letto, non sembra perché i materassi sono nuovi ma io ne ho vista una correre nella mia valigia che ho preso con una bottiglia vuota e portata in reception, mi hanno spostata di camera ma hanno minimizzato. Ora sono invasa di bolle e dovrò disinfettare ogni cosa di casa mia. Sono molto arrabbiata per questo e non ho ricevuto niente da loro.....io ero nella stanza 102 poi spostata alla 4. Tutto ciò per me è assurdo!!!!

A fuirrrr hostel dégoûtant, tout est sale que sa soit de l’intérieur et l’extérieur. Les chambre n’en parlons pas! Des couverture deja utilisé et remplie de punaise de lit.

La relación calidad precio es malísima. -Ten en cuenta que te van a cobrar 3.5€ de impuestos por noche, adicionales a la reserva. -A mí y a otra viajera nos permitieron entrar 40 minutos tarde a la habitación porque no estaba lista la limpieza. -Los baños no ofrecen ni siquiera jabón para manos, mucho menos gel de ducha y/o shampoo. -Las puertas de baños y duchas NO tienen seguro. -Tendrás que pagar para usar la cocina. -No sufrí de chinches en mi cama, pero otros dos viajeros de otras habitaciones me confirmaron que sí habían. Por el precio quizá puedas encontrar algo mejor.

Es bastante sucio y hay bedbugs. Además te dejan guardar tus cosas antes de hacer el checkin en un lugar que no vigilan y que dejan abierto (prefiero que me digan que no se pueden hacer cargo y yo veo que hago). Es el hostel más caro que he pagado en más de 2 meses en Europa y uno de los más feos la verdad.

Las tres noches que estuve hospedada me picaron horrible las chinches pedí cambio de sabanas pero aún así me siguieron picando, terminé con ronchas por todo el cuerpo

To be honest, I wouldn’t recommend going there. While the staff is nice, the room itself is dirty and not really guestfriendly: only two power sockets for 5 people, no curtains, no handsoaps, renting a towels costs 5€💀,moldy shower and loud construction starting at 7:30 am. I saw two BEDBUGS in my bed in the night. There were blood stains on the bed as well.

this place was extremely dissapointing, I have stayed in 15 hostels this year across the world and this is the worst. Multiple of my friends woke up with bites all over them, not mosquito bites (upon reading other reviews, you have admitted there are insects in the bedding? even if it’s not bed bugs this is still disgusting), we didn’t have enough towels or blankets for the people staying in the room, even when we asked for them AT THE RECEPTION…staff told me the towels were not accessible? the showers flooded the whole bathroom, our bathroom flooded with sewage water so disgusting. no locks on individual toilet stalls or showers, one morning a stranger was in the bathroom and locked me out so I couldn’t use the facilities! in another scenario a key was taken out of the bathroom which prevented ANYONE from locking the bathroom including showers and toilet stalls because there are no individual locks. soap was provided for 1 day but dissapeared, assuming another person from a different room had taken it and it was never replaced. anyone could just walk straight in off the street and use the bathroom, no security. looking at all these reviews seems like you guys don’t know how to take constructive criticism, and these are quite immature and unprofessional responses.

Clean rooms (no bed bugs so no need to worry), sympathetic and nice staff.

Decided to ignore the bed bug comments. NEVER AGAIN. Woke up with 30+ bites on my legs and stomach, were flatter than my normal mosquito bites and in clusters. Found a bed bug the size of my nail on my towel on the ground. Manager gave me a refund for the last night I was staying there and moved me rooms. Found bed bug droppings on the floor in the next room. A staff member tried to gaslight me into thinking I’m the only one who’s had this issue. Pay the extra 5-10 euros and stay somewhere nicer

this hostel is a public health hazard. The room was like a dungeon with no windows to even get some fresh air. there's no soap or toilet paper (when I asked I was told to bring my own!!) it's weird knowing everyone is walking around with dirty hands. The staff are careless, and some are even rude. The shower doors are see-through, the toilets doors have no locks. and the big surprise was BEDBUGS INFESTATIONS. I had to check out at 6 am. it's better to sleep under a bridge.

I chose to come to an hostel cause it was a last minute one day trip and the price offer seemed good for the position (even if in the meanwhile I discovered it was not the touristic part of Trastevere so not so comfy to walk around). Unfortunately I had a terrible experience, the day after I came home I got an irritation to the legs due to bed bugs, I stayed two days with itching, red signs on legs and swollen ankles (my doctor verified it). Even in the bathroom there were no soaps to wash.

BETTWANZEN Wir haben eine Nacht im Hostel verbracht, am nächsten Tag fanden wir nach und nach Bettwanzenbisse an unserem Körper - wie auch in vorherigen Bewertungen erwähnt. Außerdem roch das Zimmer insbesondere das Badezimmer sehr unangenehm.

BETTWANZEN Wir haben eine Nacht in dem Hostel verbracht, direkt am nächsten Tag hatten wir juckende Stellen am Körper, welche stetig mehr wurden - Es sind Bisse von Bettwanzen, wie auch in anderen Bewertungen erwähnt. Das Zimmer insbesondere das Badezimmer riechen sehr unangenehm.

Virkelig ringe oplevelse, som jeg ikke ønsker for nogen andre. Alt var galt, først og fremmest var morgenmad horribel. Dernæst var alt galt på værelserne, afløbene var stoppet op til flere gang. Der var myrer og BED BUGS, derudover fandt vi mad bag sengene. De "redte" sengene, men de byttede faktisk bare rundt på lagener og nogle gang redte de kun halvdelen af sengene på et værelse. Det var også meningen at de skulle udskifte Håndklæder, det gjorde de næsten ikke. Så man skulle selv gå op i receptionen og spørge efter nye. De tjekkede heller ikke toiletpapir, det skulle vi også selv op og spørger efter flere gange. Hvis jeg kunne give 0 stjerner, havde det her været stedet.

Hallo, ich war vor einigen Wochen in diesem Hostel und die Antworten des Betreibers auf Rezensionen haben mich daher zurückschrecken lassen. Hier eine Auflistung positiver und negativer Punkte: Pro: -Das Hotelpersonal war im Gegensatz zu seiner Onlinepräsenz höflich und gastfreundlich. -Des weiteren war es auch möglich schnell einzuchecken -Der Aufenthaltsraum war überraschend gut und die Anbindung an Bus und Bahn war auch super Doch nun zu der Kritik: -Angefangen mit schlechtem Geruch innerhalb der Zimmer, die einen leicht abgestandenen Eindruck hinterlassen haben -Des weiteren konnte man sich auch mit der Gesellschaft von Bettwanzen und weiteren Insekten begnügen -Die Dusche treibt einen auch sich sehr zu beeilen, da warmes Wasser nur mit einem sehr guten Vorstellungsvermögen erahnbar ist (dies auch nur bei einer geringen Körpertemperatur) -Nach dem Duschen konnte man auch einen angenehmen Geruch nach Schimmel und anderen Fäkalien feststellen -Der nächste Adrenalinschock war das Frühstück, mit abgestandenem Gebäck und geronnener Milch, des weiteren vergorenner Marmelade hatte die Auswahl schon ein Ende

I don’t recommend this hostel. Me and my friend were there in August. We were bitten by bedbugs so we checked out and went to the other place. Even if the staff gave us the money for the laundry and we got the whole refund, they still didn’t think it’s something bad in their behavior. The bedbugs can be transmitted to other places very easily, but hostel wanted us to stay silent about the situation when they gave us the refund.

We were on a school trip and had booked this hotel. However we didn't know what to expect because the reviews were mixed. As soon as we got to the room we did a bed bug check and found one alive between the sheets. Also the sheets had holes and the room looked dirty. We didn't stay there and the staff were not surprised at all about the bugs. Also the way the hotel answers to these reviews is really unprofessional and rude. They accuse people that they have never been at the hotel and the hotel didn't have to do that if everything was okay. We had a terrible 15 minutes at the hotel and we will never come back.

TL;DR: You do you, but I'd rather not. The rooms in this hostel are highly unhygienic, the existing furniture and utensils (of which there weren't much) mostly dysfunctional or fully broken. The service is basic with a few exceptions, although there is always something lacking. In total, the negative aspects definitely outweigh the positive ones. I would not recommend booking a stay in this hostel. CONS: - BED BUGS - as the hotel was able to take quick action, I assume it is not a rare phenomenon - other very small, unidentifiable bugs in two beds - unidentifiable dead bug underneath the mattress - dirty, sticky ground with mysterious stains, small pieces of trash, and a cigarette butt - dirty towels and bedsheets with more mysterious, yellow spots - bedsheets, towels, and chairs are lacking - mold, mostly in the shower cabin, but also above the beds - drainage problem caused a not-so-pleasant rotten-egg-like smell across all rooms on the upper floor - shades are not functioning - tapestry is peeling off - bidet is leaking - unreliable Wifi - (almost) no warm water - no cleaning staff activities for our whole week of stay - despite there being 4+ people in a room, you only get one key; there is an option to place the keys in a bowl at the reception, but nobody supervises them - mostly unbalanced breakfast options - the hostel orders pastries for breakfast from another place, so the service doesn't know anything about the ingredients - the utensils in the communal kitchen are dirty PROS: - there are rooms with a shower, a toilet, and a balcony - the rooms are quite spacious - there is a communal kitchen - there is breakfast - there is a water dispenser - there are comfortable couches in the entrance - there is a downstairs lobby with table tennis, a foosball table and a couch - the location is pretty central - friendly, helpful staff - quick action regarding the bed bugs - high flexibility for planning, i.e., when providing the keys for the luggage room Conclusion: Trust Evere? More like Trust Nevere - at least not in terms of hygiene.

‏Unfortunately, my experience at this hostel was disappointing. Apart from the friendly receptionist, everything else was subpar. They had bed bugs in several rooms, and despite the advertised age limit of 18-35, I woke up to two men in their 50s-60s, which made me feel uncomfortable. The blankets were thin, the shower flooded. I don’t recommend this hostel—it’s worth spending a bit more for a better experience

There were many bedbugs in the bed, they bit me, they offer solutions, but the damage is done, I wasn't the only one that found out there were bedbugs on his bed... It's a shame, because it's a good hostel but this is a really important problem, they said they would fumigate before giving the room to any other guests, but the woman who cleaned put new sheets in front of me immediately after taking mines...

TLDR: The hostel had bedbugs when i was there. I would not recommend Hostel Trastevere. There are other much better hostels in good parts of Rome. When I arrived it took about 10 minutes for someone to come and check me in, it seemed like the staff were just sitting around talking and on their phones ignoring me before one of them came to check me in. They also asked for a deposit in cash for the key and couldn't take card which is odd. However the lobby/reception area was nicely decorated and furnished, with a kitchen too. My room was in the seperate building which was unexpected but I didn't mind. The only problem was that i felt unsafe because the door to this building was never locked and the building did not have staff or security in it. The room was pretty standard however it was annoying not to have a blanket or a towel. Especially in the night because I got cold. They didn't tell me that you could hire a towel but i found out later you can from someone else. There is no soap or paper towels in the bathrooms, not even to wash your hands which i find disgusting. I just used my own but most other hostels include this so it was disappointing. There were not enough lockers, so only 4 in a 6 person room. The locks for the showers didn't work in my bathroom and the lock for the room was not automatic like every other hostel i have stayed in. I heard people complaining about thieves jumping the fence in the alleyway and stealing things from their rooms on the bottom floor of the building but i didn't experience this myself. The worst part and mostly the reason for my bad review is because on the second day i was there i woke up with bites and found bedbugs in my bed. The receptionist did not even apologise. Also, it's a bit weird that some of their signs and their websites say hostel trust ever and the name is Trastevere? The location was out of the way but close to a bus stop.

Não havia armários o suficiente nos quartos para trancarmos nossos objetos. E algumas colegas de quarto viram bedbugs, o que é péssimo. Tivemos problema com a limpeza do quarto e barulhos.

There are bed bugs in this hostel, be aware. I got bites all over my body and face. I couldnt sleep and the day after my stay was terrible. In the morning i didnt realize what it was, but when i was leaving i found one of them dead in my bed. Except this everything was fine, but this is not something i can look over.

L’hostel est facilement accessible depuis l’aéroport grâce au train et est bien situé pour pouvoir découvrir les beaux monuments de Rome. Le personnel de l’hostel est aussi très accueillant mais j’ai été assez déçue par la propreté de l’hostel et par l’équipement des chambres. Pas de savon au niveau des toilettes, des lavabos bouchés, des punaises de lit dans la chambre et la salle de bain, un sol très sale…

There were bedbugs in the room I stayed in. I wanted to change my room because I was bitten too much. The receptionist said that this situation was normal in hotels and they changed my room and took me to another room with bedbugs again. i would never stay again and i would not recommend it to anyone!

Wenn ihr ein Zimmer mit Bettwanzen, schimmligen Duschen und verrosteten Betten haben wollt seit ihr hier richtig.

A infra estrutura e limpeza da área comum deixa a desejar, os quartos são mal dispostos e não tem onde por suas coisas no quarto e no banheiro. As camas não são privativas (com cortinas e tomadas/iluminação individual. Poucas tomadas dispostas no quarto e você precisa deixar na área comum do quarto para carregar. Quartos não possuem lockers. No quarto da minha amiga (quarto 23), teve caso de percevejos em todo quarto, onde as pessoas precisaram trocar de hotel.

I stayed at the adjacent building and it was bad The night receptionist seemed a bit clueless, found that my bed had no blankets (i needed to get back to the reception for one) the worst thing was bedbugs. I woke up the next day covered in bedbugs bites

When looking at reviews of the place we found reports of bed bugs. As soon as we got there, we laid our bags outside the room and checked the room and sure enough we found bed bugs. To their credit, they did get us a new room but it’s still worth mentioning. The second room however has given me some kind of insect bites during our stay there so I would highly recommend to tread with caution and check your body for bites. Placement in the city however is good, easy to get into the centre.

Another room reported bed bugs when I was there but I didn’t have any. Otherwise, it was clean and it was nice having an en-suite and the option to not have a bunk bed
