The room was infested with bed bugs. I woke up with a severe allergic reaction covered in bites. When I informed the hotel, the manager said it was “unlikely” that the hotel had bed bugs and suggested that I must have brought them with me, which is completely unacceptable and frankly insulting. I have never experienced anything like this in my life and I came directly from my home in Zurich. Instead of taking responsibility, I was treated as if I were lying. As a result of staying in this room, I now need to take medication for 20 days for the allergic reaction. This experience completely ruined my stay. Not only that, also my health because now i am full with red spots everywhere. I strongly advise others to be very cautious.

I can't complain about the location, just 5 mins near the train station. You can't imagine the check-in is a disaster. Suppose you miss the check-in time. You need to wait for the CS to come back at least 3 hours The room has bedbugs, and we have complaints, The CS manager answers the bedbugs from our last hotel. Maybe they have no more room. But the hotel can do something e.g. Add a mattress topper or change the bed sheet… But the balcony view is good.…

We had bed bugs in our room. We were allotted room no. 7. We booked the hostel a month prior. The lodge gave us refund but nothing else we had to pay more money and move out the place immediately due to this and issue of bed bugs and we had to pay more money😭

Eiger Lodge liegt direkt beim Grindelwald Terminal, also ist es fuer schnellen Zugang zu Zuegen, Bussen und Bergbahnen gebaut. Diese Lage ist der Hauptdraw: einfache Logistik, alpine Views aus vielen Zimmern und eine praktische Base fuer Skitage oder fruehe Starts. Das Fruehstueck ist einfach, aber solide, und Common Areas und Bar geben dem Ort ein lebendiges, soziales Gefuehl. Zimmer sind basic und oft eng, mit einfacher Einrichtung, Betonboeden in manchen Bereichen und geteilten Baedern in Teilen des Gebaeudes. Belueftung kann schwach sein, und mehrere Zimmer werden bei waermerem Wetter heiss und stickig. Manche Zimmer haben awkward Layouts, dunkles Licht, niedrige Decken oder einen Blick, der von anderen Gebaeuden oder Baugeraet blockiert ist. Der Ort hat ein Hostel-Gefuehl mit rauen Kanten. Staff kann freundlich und hilfreich sein, und es gibt Mikrowelle, Wasserkocher und einen geteilten Kuehlschrank fuer leichte Nutzung, aber das Setup ist begrenzt. Es funktioniert am besten, wenn du eine praktische Base nahe dem Terminal willst und nicht viel Politur brauchst.
