The room was infested with bed bugs. I woke up with a severe allergic reaction covered in bites. When I informed the hotel, the manager said it was “unlikely” that the hotel had bed bugs and suggested that I must have brought them with me, which is completely unacceptable and frankly insulting. I have never experienced anything like this in my life and I came directly from my home in Zurich. Instead of taking responsibility, I was treated as if I were lying. As a result of staying in this room, I now need to take medication for 20 days for the allergic reaction. This experience completely ruined my stay. Not only that, also my health because now i am full with red spots everywhere. I strongly advise others to be very cautious.

I can't complain about the location, just 5 mins near the train station. You can't imagine the check-in is a disaster. Suppose you miss the check-in time. You need to wait for the CS to come back at least 3 hours The room has bedbugs, and we have complaints, The CS manager answers the bedbugs from our last hotel. Maybe they have no more room. But the hotel can do something e.g. Add a mattress topper or change the bed sheet… But the balcony view is good.…

We had bed bugs in our room. We were allotted room no. 7. We booked the hostel a month prior. The lodge gave us refund but nothing else we had to pay more money and move out the place immediately due to this and issue of bed bugs and we had to pay more money😭

Eiger Lodge sta proprio vicino a Grindelwald Terminal, quindi è costruito per accesso rapido a treni, bus e impianti di montagna. Quella posizione è il richiamo principale: logistica facile, viste alpine da molte camere e una base pratica per giornate sugli sci o partenze presto. La colazione è semplice ma solida, e aree comuni e bar gli danno un feel vivace e social. Le camere sono basic e spesso strette, con arredi semplici, pavimenti in cemento in alcune aree e bagni condivisi in parti dell'edificio. La ventilazione può essere debole, e diverse camere diventano calde e soffocanti con il clima più mite. Alcune camere hanno layout scomodi, luce bassa, soffitti bassi o una vista bloccata da altri edifici o attrezzatura da cantiere. Il posto ha un feeling da ostello con spigoli ruvidi. Lo staff può essere gentile e disponibile, e ci sono microonde, bollitore e un frigo condiviso per uso leggero, ma il setup è limitato. Funziona meglio se vuoi una base pratica vicino al terminal e non ti serve molto polish.
