When I woke up in the morning I noticed what I'm almost certain is bed bugs crawling around on my sheet so please be careful if you are staying there in the near future. Aside from that one major issue the place was generally nice and the rest of my experience there was positive.

12 days in Sicilia and the worst experience. No soap in the bathroom, dirty bedsheets,broken toilets, disgusting smell in the toilets. When I asked to refill the soap distributor, I was told to wait until the following morning! One night there was far enough. Let's hope that I did not come back with bed bugs! Only positive point is the good location near the city center. We could park near the railway station at no cost. It us such a pity that hygiene is no good and that ni breakfast is proposed.

overall good hostel and really good vibe - a lot of the workers are volunteers as they travel themselves. however I got bed bugs and a scorpion crawled out of the bathroom sink so do with those what you'd like.

Vibe-Analyse
LoLHostel Siracusa ist für praktische Siracusa-Logistik gebaut: Es liegt etwa 1-2 Minuten von Bahn- und Busbahnhof entfernt, Ortigia ist meist 10-20 Minuten zu Fuß weg. Das macht es zu einer handlichen Base für Tagestrips, Strandbusse und An- oder Abreise ohne Taschen durch die Stadt zu schleppen. Das Dorm-Setup hat echte Backpacker-Utility: Vorhänge an den Betten, eigene Lichter und Steckdosen, USB-A- und USB-C-Ports in manchen Zimmern, Schließfächer mit Schlüsseln, saubere Bettwäsche und Handtücher inklusive. Manche Dorms haben Ensuite-Bäder, und größere Zimmer können überraschend luftig wirken, mit Loft-Ecken oder Mezzanin-Layouts, die etwas mehr Privatsphäre geben als ein plain Bunk-Hall. Es gibt einen großen Gemeinschaftsbereich, eine Küche mit Kühlschränken und Kochzeug, eine Terrasse oder Patio und eine Bar mit zeitweise fair bepreisten Drinks. Staff ist meistens eine Stärke, besonders für Stadttipps und Hilfe mit Transport oder lokalen Plänen. Die Stimmung ist eher ruhig und funktional als high-voltage sozial, auch wenn Bar, Terrasse und Gemeinschaftsbereiche es trotzdem möglich machen, Leute kennenzulernen, wenn die richtige Crowd da ist.
