When I woke up in the morning I noticed what I'm almost certain is bed bugs crawling around on my sheet so please be careful if you are staying there in the near future. Aside from that one major issue the place was generally nice and the rest of my experience there was positive.

12 days in Sicilia and the worst experience. No soap in the bathroom, dirty bedsheets,broken toilets, disgusting smell in the toilets. When I asked to refill the soap distributor, I was told to wait until the following morning! One night there was far enough. Let's hope that I did not come back with bed bugs! Only positive point is the good location near the city center. We could park near the railway station at no cost. It us such a pity that hygiene is no good and that ni breakfast is proposed.

overall good hostel and really good vibe - a lot of the workers are volunteers as they travel themselves. however I got bed bugs and a scorpion crawled out of the bathroom sink so do with those what you'd like.

LoLHostel Siracusa is gebouwd voor praktische Siracusa-logistiek: het ligt ongeveer 1-2 minuten van trein- en busstations, met Ortigia meestal op 10-20 minuten lopen. Dat maakt het een handige basis voor daytrips, strandbussen en aankomen of vertrekken zonder tassen door de stad te slepen. De dormopzet heeft echte backpacker-utility: gordijnen aan bedden, individuele lampjes en stopcontacten, USB-A en USB-C poorten in sommige kamers, lockers met sleutels, schoon beddengoed en handdoeken inbegrepen. Sommige dorms hebben ensuite badkamers, en grotere kamers kunnen verrassend luchtig voelen, met loft-achtige hoeken of mezzanine-layouts die wat meer privacy geven dan een gewone bunkhal. Er is een grote common area, een keuken met koelkasten en kookspullen, een terras of patio en een bar met soms redelijk geprijsde drankjes. Staff is meestal een kracht, vooral voor stadstips en hulp met transport of lokale plannen. De mood is meer rustig en functioneel dan high-voltage sociaal, al kunnen bar, terras en common areas het nog steeds mogelijk maken om mensen te ontmoeten wanneer de juiste crowd er is.

- Niet de veiligste gok voor een grote sociale scene; het kan stil, saai of groepsgericht voelen.
- Netheid en onderhoud zijn wisselend, vooral keukens, badkamers, schimmel of afvoergeuren, kapotte fixtures en oudere matrassen.
- Airco en kamertemperatuur kunnen inconsistent zijn, vooral in kamers met hoge plafonds of oudere ruimtes.
- Sommige kamers hebben krap gedeeld badkamergebruik, verwarrende bed- en lockerindeling of beperkte ruimte voor tassen en kleding ophangen.
- Eigen alcohol is mogelijk niet toegestaan, en wifi kan zwak zijn buiten gemeenschappelijke ruimtes.
