When I woke up in the morning I noticed what I'm almost certain is bed bugs crawling around on my sheet so please be careful if you are staying there in the near future. Aside from that one major issue the place was generally nice and the rest of my experience there was positive.

12 days in Sicilia and the worst experience. No soap in the bathroom, dirty bedsheets,broken toilets, disgusting smell in the toilets. When I asked to refill the soap distributor, I was told to wait until the following morning! One night there was far enough. Let's hope that I did not come back with bed bugs! Only positive point is the good location near the city center. We could park near the railway station at no cost. It us such a pity that hygiene is no good and that ni breakfast is proposed.

overall good hostel and really good vibe - a lot of the workers are volunteers as they travel themselves. however I got bed bugs and a scorpion crawled out of the bathroom sink so do with those what you'd like.

LoLHostel Siracusa è costruito per la logistica pratica a Siracusa: sta a circa 1-2 minuti da stazione ferroviaria e bus, con Ortigia di solito a 10-20 minuti a piedi. Questo lo rende una base comoda per gite in giornata, bus per la spiaggia e arrivi o partenze senza trascinare borse attraverso tutta la città. Il setup dei dormitori ha vera utilità backpacker: tende sui letti, luci e prese individuali, porte USB-A e USB-C in alcune camere, armadietti con chiavi, lenzuola pulite e asciugamani inclusi. Alcuni dorm hanno bagni ensuite, e le camere più grandi possono sembrare sorprendentemente ariose, con angoli loft o layout a soppalco che danno un po’ più privacy di una semplice sala di letti a castello. Ci sono una grande area comune, una cucina con frigo e attrezzatura per cucinare, una terrazza o patio e un bar con drink a prezzi ragionevoli a volte. Lo staff è di solito un punto forte, soprattutto per dritte sulla città e aiuto con trasporti o piani locali. Il mood è più quieto e funzionale che sociale ad alto voltaggio, anche se bar, terrazza e aree comuni possono comunque rendere possibile conoscere gente quando c’è la crew giusta.

- Non è la scelta più sicura per una grande scena sociale; può sembrare tranquillo, spento o dominato da gruppi.
- Pulizia e manutenzione sono irregolari, soprattutto cucine, bagni, muffa o odori di scarico, accessori rotti e materassi vecchi.
- Aria condizionata e temperatura in camera possono essere incostanti, soprattutto in stanze dai soffitti alti o più vecchie.
- Alcune camere hanno condivisione bagno stretta, assegnazione confusa di letti e armadietti o poco spazio per borse e vestiti appesi.
- L’alcol proprio potrebbe non essere consentito, e il Wi-Fi può essere debole fuori dalle aree comuni.
