I got destroyed by BED BUGS! After the first night I thought it was just a mosquito so I bought an insect repellent. It didn't help, after every night I was waking up with more and more bites ALL OVER my body. They are everywhere and are very itchy. My doctor confirmed that the bites were from bed bugs, so I texted the host to let him know. He said that I was lying and that the bites were from sand flies. He said that the previous guest didn't report anything so that can't be true lol He then said that he would have sent pest control and let me know. Later I asked him for updates but he has been leaving me on read ever since. Looking at the photos it looks like a first class accommodation, but the reality is very far from that. The room is so small you have basically no space to move. It's always super humid, so everything from your clothes to the bed will always be wet. The furniture is old and unkempt. The cold water handle in the shower was not working, so the water was super hot all the time. There were no curtains so the water was going everywhere. The pillows were stinky and dirty I had to sleep without them. There is no staff around the place. During my last night the guys staying above me had a party and they had karaoke until 6 am in the morning... I am a very flexible and adaptable host, I traveled around the world and it's probably the first time I'm writing a bad review. Stay away from this place, it is absolutely not worth the money it costs

Vibe-Analyse
Moon Apartments ist ein kleines Privatzimmer-Setup in starker Utila-Lage: nah an der Faehre, an oder nahe der Hauptstrasse fuer Shopping und Essen und gegenueber einem Tauchzentrum. Es kann als einfache Basis funktionieren, wenn Lage wichtiger ist als Hostel-Energie. Der Zugang laeuft groesstenteils remote, mit virtueller Rezeption, Online-Zahlung, Passdaten und Tuercodes. Luis ist oft per WhatsApp erreichbar und kann schnell und hilfreich sein, aber vor Ort ist eventuell kein Personal physisch da. Zimmer koennen sehr kompakt sein. Manche haben kleinen Kuehlschrank und Mikrowelle, und eine upgegradete Einheit hatte Familienzimmer und mehrere Toiletten. Sauberkeit landet uneinheitlich: Der Ort kann spotless sein, aber es gibt auch Themen mit Baedern, Feuchtigkeit, fleckigem Bettzeug, dreckigen Kissen und einem schweren Bettwanzenproblem. Das ist eher praktischer Apartment-Crashpad als soziales Hostel. Erwarte Bequemlichkeit, eine zentrale Lage und gelegentlich hilfreichen Remote-Support, aber halte die Erwartungen bei Platz, Wartung und Problemlösung vor Ort eng.
Signale zum Prüfen
- Zimmer koennen extrem klein sein, mit wenig Platz zum Bewegen.
- Die Rezeption ist virtuell, daher ist Hilfe vor Ort eventuell nicht verfuegbar.
- Zahlung und Zugang koennen von Online-Abwicklung abhaengen, bevor Tuercodes gesendet werden.
- Es gibt wiederkehrende Wartungsthemen rund um Plumbing, Badgerueche, warmes Wasser, Tuergriffe und Wasser- oder Stromausfaelle.
- Der Pool ist sehr klein, und Jacuzzi-Claims passen eventuell nicht zum echten Setup.
- Ein Aufenthalt hatte ein schweres Bettwanzenproblem, also aktuelle Bedingungen vor dem Buchen pruefen.
