I got destroyed by BED BUGS! After the first night I thought it was just a mosquito so I bought an insect repellent. It didn't help, after every night I was waking up with more and more bites ALL OVER my body. They are everywhere and are very itchy. My doctor confirmed that the bites were from bed bugs, so I texted the host to let him know. He said that I was lying and that the bites were from sand flies. He said that the previous guest didn't report anything so that can't be true lol He then said that he would have sent pest control and let me know. Later I asked him for updates but he has been leaving me on read ever since. Looking at the photos it looks like a first class accommodation, but the reality is very far from that. The room is so small you have basically no space to move. It's always super humid, so everything from your clothes to the bed will always be wet. The furniture is old and unkempt. The cold water handle in the shower was not working, so the water was super hot all the time. There were no curtains so the water was going everywhere. The pillows were stinky and dirty I had to sleep without them. There is no staff around the place. During my last night the guys staying above me had a party and they had karaoke until 6 am in the morning... I am a very flexible and adaptable host, I traveled around the world and it's probably the first time I'm writing a bad review. Stay away from this place, it is absolutely not worth the money it costs

Moon Apartments es un montaje pequeño de habitaciones privadas en una ubicación fuerte de Utila: cerca del ferry, en o junto a la franja principal de compras y comida, y frente a un centro de buceo. Puede funcionar como base simple cuando la ubicación importa más que la energía de hostel. La entrada es mayormente remota, con recepción virtual, pago online, datos de pasaporte y códigos de puerta para el acceso. Luis suele estar disponible por WhatsApp y puede responder rápido y ayudar, pero puede no haber staff físicamente en la propiedad. Las habitaciones pueden ser muy compactas. Algunas tienen nevera pequeña y microondas, y una unidad mejorada tenía habitación familiar y varios baños. La limpieza cae de forma irregular: el lugar puede estar impecable, pero también hay problemas con baños, humedad, ropa de cama manchada, almohadas sucias y un problema grave de chinches. Esto es más crash pad práctico tipo apartamento que hostel social. Espera conveniencia, ubicación bastante céntrica y apoyo remoto ocasionalmente útil, pero mantén expectativas ajustadas sobre espacio, mantenimiento y resolución de problemas en el sitio.

- El pago y el acceso pueden depender de procesamiento online antes de que envíen los códigos de puerta.
- Hay problemas recurrentes de mantenimiento con fontanería, olores de baño, agua caliente, manillas de puertas y cortes de agua o electricidad.
- La piscina es muy pequeña, y lo anunciado como jacuzzi puede no coincidir con el montaje real.
- Una estadía tuvo un problema grave de chinches, así que revisa condiciones recientes antes de reservar.
