Sant Jordi Hostels Sagrada Familia

The location itself was great, close to everything and easy to get around, which I really appreciated. However, the room was extremely small for a hostel. There was barely enough space for two people to move around without bumping into each other, and it felt quite cramped overall. The biggest issue, though, was that I found bedbugs on my bed, which completely ruined the experience. El servicio al cliente es pésimo, la atención es muy mal, el personal de recepción o estaba preparado, no ayudaban con solicitudes de temperatura en la habitaciónes, no informaban de las políticas o reglas del lugar, el desayuno es tarde para viajeros que salen temprano a recorrer la ciudad, las camas son delgadas y algunas están manchadas, amaneces con picaduras de chinches, hay bastante ruido en la noche, en la madrugada intentaron entrar a mi habitación por una ventana del patio. Muy mala experiencia, rescatable la ubicación pero no volvería jamás.

Several people commented on this, yet no change. The air-conditioning is so extremely cold and blowing on one's head, I got ear pain the next day even if I tried to cover my head at night. No way it is understandable why the temperature can't be adjusted a few degrees to a sensible level. The luggage storage by reception is dirty, the shelf itself and random shoes, food items, hair products, and McDonald's food remains. Complete magnet for bugs and roaches. The soft cauches in the common area also dirty. One receptionist was very helpful, aware and sensible, another sort of making fun of me for metioning that I don't want to store my stuff next to open food and didn't bother to take any steps to remove it or do anything about it but showing how I am ridiculous to even mention it.

Staff were friendly and helpful. However one of the beds had bedbugs.

Honestamente, me encanto la atención del personal. Realmente un encanto y gracias a ellos es que no pongo una mala reseña. Reservamos la habitación privada de 2 camas individuales con baño compartido. Desafortunadamente, parece que la higiene no era la mejor porque recibí varias picaduras de chinches en mis brazos y espalda baja. Hoy en día me encuentro en Ámsterdam haciendo malabares para que me vea un médico porque mi salud está comprometida. La verdad que no volvería a ir, pero fueron excelentes conmigo.

Rating from Oktober 2014: It's a good and clean hostel. But: Extracharge, Bedbugs and no Wi-Fi! I stayed at this hostel for 5 nights and I had a good time over here. The hostel is pretty clean and everything is quite new. They have every evening a dinner and a pub crawl. But: When I checked in, I had more to pay what Hostelworld told me. I had to pay the Tax, but I think it should be included in the price! The wifi/internet was not working during my whole stay. That's a pretty big problem for a traveller. I bought a sim-card for my phone to plan my next day. I also had bedbugs in my bed, my eyes were burning on the next day and my legs were itchy. If you like to sleep early I would recommend you another hostel because it's not possible to turn the light of, it goes off automatically after midnight.
