The Green Elephant Hostel & Spa

I was a bit surprised, when I arrived, how glowing the ratings were. The mattresses do not have bedbug covers, the lower bunks are only a few centimeters off the floor, the two toilet rooms had no soap, and the rooms were not nearly so spotless as I expected. It seems like two toilets was actually plenty, as I never had to wait. And staff was responsive.

Location Bed bugs

Beds are clean and no bedbugs. AC in the rooms. Some amount of privacy with the bunk structure. Electrical outlets work. Linens are soft. Its got a weird vibe though, there's signs up everywhere about how they aren't liable for ___ and basic stuff is missing. There's not a single working soap in any bathroom, so you feel dirty. No napkins at breakfast. No names for any breakfast food. No bartender. Locks jam. Flies around dirty dishes. Somebody cared a lot when they started it, but they left behind a skeleton crew and dipped. And its cheap.
