I loved the location of this place. The only problem I had were the guests in the rooms. The staff was very helpful, and they were nice to chat with as well. It was very clean except for the women’s public restroom, but that goes back to my original problem with the guests. I was allergic to the sheets but that’s because I’m very sensitive to certain detergents. If you’re the kind of person who freaks out over bedbugs or any insect you can calm down lol. Overall this place is very clean, and I would recommend it if you’re traveling with a group of friends.

I stayed in a 4-bed shared room but the bedding made me itch like crazy. I used the comforter blanket on top of the bed sheets and slept on that then the itching went away, but sleeping on the bed sheets themselves made me itch. No idea why — maybe synthetic linens? Nothing serious like bed bugs or anything but it was just that single bed sheet. The 15-sec timer in the shower is super inconvenient. 30 seconds would at least be a better compromise. Besides that, no other major complaints.

  3. Confirmed Hostelworld

4 people in our room (207) including the person I’m traveling with got bed bugs the first night we arrived. They moved us to another room (204) which also had visible signs of bed bugs. They continued to allow new guests to check into the room that was infested without warning. In addition to this there was little to no water pressure the 36 hrs we were there and no air conditioning, which wouldn't have been an issue if it wasn’t for the “pod” style beds which felt like a stuffy shoe box.

  4. Confirmed Hostelworld

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at Jacobs Inn. I found the staff friendly and helpful. I stayed in a 10 person female only room, and enjoyed the en-suite bathroom. I enjoyed the capsule style beds because they were cozy and private. The location was good, it is right next to the red line. I felt safe in the area as a solo female traveler. Negative: I woke up with bed bug bites every night. This is something that could be improved upon.
