Elena hostel is built around a big green site on the outskirts of Tandil, with a beautiful wooded area for walking, a pool, a deck, open lawns, and animals around the grounds. It works best as a nature-heavy reset: quiet mornings, birds, lots of green, and enough space to spend most of the day without leaving. The capsule beds add privacy and seem more comfortable than standard bunks, with curtains and a practical setup for sleeping. There is also a kitchen, breakfast, a cafe, pool table, foosball, laundry, air conditioning, showers, and food available on site, either ready-made or for cooking. This is not a central city base. Without a car or motorbike, moving around Tandil can take planning, though remises and Uber may work. The social side sounds low-key and depends on who is around, with shared meals more likely than organized activities. The place has real magic, but it is uneven. Cleanliness has ranged from fine to poor, especially in bathrooms and common areas, and hot water can be a problem. Wifi and phone signal may be weak, and late noise can happen when groups or events are on site.
