The top rooms are the hook here: light, airy spaces with sea, town, palm, or even flamingo-view glimpses, depending on the room. Sun Island Hostel is a simple, central Isabela base near the beach, restaurants, minimarkets, tour offices, and the ATM. Rooms can be spacious, clean, and comfortable, with big beds, air conditioning, fans, fridges, kettles or coffee setups in several cases. Breakfast is a real plus when it lands well: eggs, fruit, bread, juice, coffee or tea, with a cafe or restaurant setup on site for breakfast and sometimes lunch or dinner. The family-run side can be very useful. Help with bikes, ferries, taxis, babysitting, tours, lost luggage, and island logistics is part of the appeal, especially for a short Isabela visit where planning eats time. Spanish helps, since English may be limited. This is not a polished hostel bubble. It works best as a practical, beach-close room with local help, good value, and the chance of a great view, not as a flawless service operation or party hub.
