The White Tulip Hostel

Teniendo en cuenta de que es un hostel, ya sabes lo que te puedes encontrar y con eso contaba, pero con lo que no contaba es que la cama estuviera llena de chinches y tenga todo el cuerpo lleno de picaduras. Pongo muy pocas reseñas, pero esta creo que era necesaria para que tanto el personal como los futuros huéspedes lo sepan.

Wouldn’t recommend staying in the 14 person dorm. Can hardly sleep because of so much noise. Room smells like garbage and I’ve never so itchy after sleeping in a bed. Believe it was because of bed bugs. Wouldn’t recommend

Got bit by roaches or some insect . It’s been 2 days and the bite area is still this red. Place looks clean visually but be careful of bed bugs or roaches! I’ve been bitten before by one of these insects and now it’s the same situation.

Punaise de lits !! très bruyant !! Pas d'aération !! Très cher...

The room had Bedbugs, the Owner is extrem toxic and didnt cooperated. If u want to spend a nice Vacation don't go to that place u will hate it.

Hostel is good for nothing but doing drugs (that’s the crowd). Loud til 5 am. Facilities are gross and our stuff is now infested with bed bugs. Tried to gaslight me at the front when I have seen tons of bugs in my bags and my friend and I are covered in bites. Sometimes it’s better to spend more money on better accommodations. Anything would be better than this. Disgusting and vile. Not worth the headache of staying here.

Je deconseille fortement cette auberge de jeunesse Je suis parti 4jours a amsterdam avec un ami Ayant pas trop d'argent nous avons décider de dormir dans une auberge de jeunesse, quel mauvais choix... Nous avons payer 220euros pour 3nuits A la reception un homme tres desagreable, Nous sommes monter dans les chambres poser nos affaires car nous etions fatiguer du voyage. Peux apres mon ami et moi, nous avons sentis des demengaisons et apparition de petits boutons, en regardant le lit de plus pres nous avons constater que les lits etais insalubre(cheveux, trace suspecte) et des punaise de lits qui sautaient de partout. Les toilettes et douches etais degeulasse du papier toilette de partout des traces d'extrement. Voulant me faire rembourser car je n avais aucune envie de dormir dans un tel endroit je suis allez voir a la reception Je me suis fais presque insulter avec un grand mepris Je n ai pas pu me faire rembourser les 3 nuits alors que j ai demander un arrangement 50/50. Aucune discution possible. 220euros a la poubelle Et je ne parle pas des gens qui dormes la bas, drogués, Sdf et j en passe Une auberge de jeunesse à detruire a coup de buldozer Pour environ 30 euros de plus, la differance est flagrante Je vous deconseille d'y mettre les pieds. VRAIMENT

Bed bugs! Not only that but rude staff that deny their existence and call you a liar. It’s a not a surprise when everything else in this hostel is dirty. It’s unfortunate because there is an awesome social vibe here but bed bugs and rude staff can and will ruin a hostel. Looking at other reviews they need to take a look at themselves and sort this problem out.

Hay chinches en las camas y todo está muy sucio. Aún no nos devuelven el dinero que dijeron que devolverían. No lo recomiendo para nada.

À FUIR ! Les WC et douches sont insalubres, les chambres semblent pas mal à première vue mais nous avons été dévorées par des puces et punaises de lits ( que nous avons vues et ramené au responsable). Résultat : beaucoup de temps perdu et grosses allergies. Seul avantage de cet auberge : la localisation. Nous y avons dormi qu'une seule nuit et nous avons été remboursé qu'une seule / 3 !!!!

BED BUG ALERT, room was packed, you don’t want those in your life. The staff didn’t seem to care and lied about having someone fumigating the room so we stayed one more awful night there. Ana at the front desk was cool

The price, location and staff were great. WiFi was included and you get a discount at the bar which is a plus. However, the only shower that was available for me to use at the time had an old wet sheet in it and it smelled truly horrible. The worst part is that I found a bedbug on my coat (left in my bed) which I checked due to a recent review here complaining of bedbugs. I also found a single bite on my heel. Check all of the seams and crevices of your belongings to make sure you don't bring them with you! Edit: Found out that I was double charged a few weeks after my stay. The initial charge to reserve was NOT refunded while they charged me again for my stay. They did not cooperate and it had to go to dispute services with my credit card company to get refunded. Avoid this place.

Stayed here in 2012, from reviews everyone is complaining about bed bugs. This was not the case in 2012, had a brilliant stay here, the staircase is amusing especially after a night out. Everyone was friendly and the communal area is a great place to drink. Prices have increased since my stay but so has everything else in Amsterdam. Definitely recommend for people on a budget, want to party and not fussy about cleanliness.

The hostel in general was in a great location and easily located from the train station. It was a decent hostel and the people that worked there are very nice. However, a few things were really crappy that made the experience awful. 1) the group's of obnoxious drunk people rolling in. It's a hostel, so that's an obvious perk you get for staying in one. However, there was little enforcement of the hostel rules until one of the drunk people set the fire alarm off from smoking. 2) facilities. Overall clean until they leave them for days at a time. Right after the lady cleaned the restrooms were super sanitary. The 3 days before the cleaning, there was garbage everywhere and people left hair, containers, etc, in the showers. 3) bed bugs. Definitely the worst aspect of the stay. A friend I met who was staying in a different room didn't have issues so it could just be room 202. Ive never had bed bugs ever but the linen was gross and smelly and the second to last day I found a bed bug crawling on my bunk. I didn't stay the last night and I stayed at the airport instead. I have 10 bites on my ankle, stomach, and arms. It's super disgusting. It doesn't have 100 percent to do with the hostel but bed bugs shouldn't be in any hostel or hotel in my opinion.
