Guest report Booking.com
It is located in a moderately okay location that was the reason I choose but from the beginning the experience is horrible; very old system no friendly stuff wrong insufficient information about self check The room was very dirty and full of bedbugs! Because I was informed to stay at room number 10 but when I arrived and followed the instructions to self check in the room number was wrong, there was no key and I had to make a call and then the stuff was very rude and redirected me to another room. I was waking up by the bites of bedbugs in the middle of night and I tried to call property staff. They did not respond and once I reached they hanged up the phone on my face. Therefore, I had to leave the hostel in the middle of night with no help and assistance
Vibe Analysis
Hostel Bialystok Centrum is a very basic, central Bialystok option with its best case built around location and price. It sits close to the city center, the old town area, public transport, shops, and the train and bus stations, so it works best as a short, practical stop rather than a social hostel. The setup is simple: private rooms, shared bathrooms, self check-in, and a small kitchenette-style corner. There may be a fridge, kettle, microwave, coffee, tea, cups, and glasses, but the food setup is thin and inconsistent, with no proper cooking space and often no plates, cutlery, sink, or useful prep gear. Cleanliness lands unevenly. Bathrooms and rooms can be clean, and a few rooms are spacious enough, but there are repeated problems with bad smells, stale bedding, hard or narrow beds, small towels, weak fixtures, and rooms that can feel hot, stuffy, or poorly ventilated. This is not a scene-heavy HostelPunk pick. It is more of a cheap crash pad with a good address, and the rough edges are not small: access problems, weak communication, room mix-ups, noise through thin walls, shared-bathroom pressure, and safety worries around the building entrance can seriously affect the night.
Signals to check
- Check-in and building access can fail, including unanswered phone calls and confusing self check-in instructions.
- Room assignment problems appear serious, including paid rooms that were unavailable or already occupied.
- The kitchenette is very limited and may lack plates, cutlery, a sink, or cooking gear.
- Noise isolation is weak; corridor, neighboring-room, street, and late-night noise can carry clearly.
- There are recurring cleanliness and comfort risks, including bad room smells, stale bedding, hard beds, small towels, and occasional insect complaints.
- The shared bathrooms can be inconvenient, with too few bathrooms at busy times and missing hooks, shelves, soap, or reliable lighting.
- The building entrance and staircase may feel unsafe or unpleasant, especially late at night.
