stunning location and great that you can use the sunbeds for free. kitchen and equipment however very dirty, needs cleaning/renewal. on arrival i saw bedbugs in my bed, could change room immediately, later all rooms got cleaned so the issue seems fixed. little hostel vibe, more hotel. wendy (yoga) was extremely kind and friendly and amazing offers. i love her! sofia was unfortunately repeatedly extremely unfriendly and annoyed towards me, and when asked why, there was no explanation or apology.

Vibe Analysis
CHE Zipolite sits directly on Zipolite beach, with sand almost outside the room door and a rooftop terrace for yoga, training, sunset hanging, and wide beach views. The location is the main superpower: bars, food, groceries, gyms, and town movement are all close, so the whole setup works best for a beach-first trip with minimal logistics. The hostel has a relaxed social streak rather than a guaranteed party machine. Activities can include yoga, meditation, postcard painting, karaoke, and group hangouts, and the staff presence can make the place feel warm and easy to join. It can also feel pretty quiet in slower periods, so the social scene may depend on timing. Rooms can be clean, comfortable, and cool, with AC or fans in at least some setups, sturdy dorm beds, lockers, and private rooms that may feel more polished. There is a shared kitchen, filtered water, fridge access, hammocks or shaded chill space, and a beachfront bar/restaurant for food and drinks.
Signals to check
- Beach loungers and front beach seating may require consumption or an extra spend, even for hostel sleepers.
- Towels, card payments, lockers, or other basics may involve extra charges.
- WiFi can be weak in rooms, which makes remote work risky.
- AC may be limited by schedule, temperature setting, outages, or room-specific problems.
- Bathrooms, kitchen gear, water pressure, hot water, and room cleaning can be inconsistent.
- Loud music, smoke near rooms, humidity, sand, insects, or maintenance issues may bother comfort-focused sleepers.
- Accessibility is limited by high steps, heavy doors, and no elevator to the rooftop.
