Hotel Tonic

We had bed bugs in our room, which is a clear no-go for any establishment in the hotel industry. Even though our bed sheets had been replaced after informing the very accommodating staff, the bed bugs returned. Luckily we have stayed only few nights at this hotel, however we were and still are carefully checking all our clothes and suitcases for any bed bugs (or eggs) for avoiding contamination of our flat and of our neighbours. If we knew beforehand, we would have never came to this hotel. Some bed bug bites even caused infection and we were close to go to the hospital right after landing.

There were bed bugs in the first room we were allocated. We caught one in a glass to show hotel staff and squashed numerous others. We are both covered in bites. The hotel did move us to a new room after we complained but the bedbug infestation was unacceptable. The hotel said they had never had this problem before but there are complaints on Tripadvisor.
