I recently stayed at this hostel, and regrettably, the experience was far from satisfactory. The beds on the upper floor were so low-ceilinged that I constantly hit my head. The building showed signs of age, and although renovated, I was dismayed to find bedbugs in my bed. When I was filling my complaint letter to the staff the next day, they assured me that the room had been quarantined. However, a friend of mine, who stayed in the very room they claimed was isolated, contradicted this by revealing he remained there and even woke up with bug bites... On a positive note, the breakfast was decent, and its central location is undeniably a perk. While the rates are budget-friendly, one should be aware and brace for the potential drawbacks.

**Be aware of bed bugs!** If I understood this correctly, they've been struggling to get rid of them for a week now. I stayed here last night and on the top floor I saw a bed bug crawling on the wall. The staff was very accommodating, gave me a new bed and let me wash my things. Otherwise a nicely decorated hostel, AMAZING breakfast for a hostel!!! And again the staff was lovely!

Aveiro Rossio Hostel is a central Aveiro base right by Rossio, the canals, restaurants, bars, shops, and the moliceiro boat area. It works best for a short, easy city stop: walkable, clean, simple, and close to the places most travelers want within a few minutes. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, with luggage storage after checkout and useful local tips available. Breakfast is a real strength here. It is included and can be better than the usual budget spread, with coffee, juice, cereal, bread, pastries, yogurt, cold cuts, and sometimes homemade products. Rooms range from dorms to private rooms and small modern apartment-style spaces. The private and apartment-style options tend to feel newer, cleaner, quieter, and better equipped, with keypad access, comfortable beds, compact kitchenettes in some units, and thoughtful arrival touches like water, wine, or coffee capsules. Dorms are more basic: comfortable enough for short visits, but not especially social or polished. This is not a big party-machine hostel. The location gives easy access to bars and the center, but the in-house atmosphere can be calm, quiet, or even a bit flat. For Aveiro sightseeing with a decent breakfast and a clean place to land, it fits. For a high-energy social hub, it may feel underpowered.
